Little Lace Box Review February 2015

Review Policy

Little Lace Box (http://littlelacebox.com/) is a monthly lifestyle subscription for “Women who know they are worth it.” It is run by three sisters and is one of the most thoughtfully curated boxes I have come across. I cannot imagine the mess of a subscription box company me and my two sisters would put together so kudos to these ladies!

February’s theme was “the lovers, the dreamers, and me.” It is from the song “Rainbow Connection,” which I have never heard and am sort of glad because people seem to be pretty riled up about the theme. Not really having a personal stake in it has left me in a good position to just enjoy the box for what it is and not so much for what it could have been or should have been.

No mistaking this red box. EVERYONE is going to know that you know you are worth it.

Oh Look At It's Good Smelling Insides!
Oh Look At It’s Good Smelling Insides!

Right away I could tell that they were not sending me a live skunk because the insides smelled of lavender goodness. Oh well, maybe next time…

Beekman 1802 - Original Goat Milk Hot Fudge (Orange)
Beekman 1802 – Original Goat Milk Hot Fudge (Orange)

Beekman 1802 – Original Goat Milk Hot Fudge (Orange): I was probably over excited about this product. It is a huge amount of chocolate sauce and if that doesn’t make my tail wag I don’t know what will. I can’t wait to drizzle this on everything from ice cream to my electric bill!

My Value: Salads will never be the same…

P. Press Papers - Pink Arrow Stationary
P. Press Papers – Pink Arrow Stationary

P. Press Papers – Pink Arrow Stationary: Really simple cards that can be used to send love letters to Ringo Starr or whoever you kids like nowadays. Writing little notes can be so touching and can be used against you as evidence at trial!

My Value: These will really class up my usual “oopsie I hit your parked car, again” notes!

Beekman 1802 - Iridescent Shimmer Bling Bath
Beekman 1802 – Iridescent Shimmer Bling Bath

Beekman 1802 – Iridescent Shimmer Bling Bath: Subscribers either got this or CeeCee&Bee Tub Truffles. At first I had a little “box envy” but grew to see the real value in this honey goat milk glitter bath party treat. It is like a barn rave in every can! Seriously, when was the last time I took a glitter bath? *cough* Vegas

My Value: My bathtub is now a venue for Glitter Goat Prom! It will be a magical night indeed.

Whitley Designs - Silver Earings
Whitley Designs – Silver Earrings

Whitley Designs – Silver Earrings: Another item that varied from box to box. These earrings are handmade by sisters. The only thing me and my sister handmade were some really gross cupcakes, so I am impressed. A guy in high school I used to know (for reasons that are about to be abundantly clear) would always say “the bigger the hoop, the bigger the whore.” I’d say these are perfect!

My Value: For Halloween I can wear just one and go as an understated pirate!

Dancin' Goat Skin Care - Hula Bliss Lotion
Dancin’ Goat Skin Care – Hula Bliss Lotion

Dancin’ Goat Skin Care – Hula Bliss Lotion: This goat isn’t all serious bragging about his “dancing” and how it is “expression in its most raw and uninhibited form marrying both art and sensuality that can be felt as well as seen.” No. This goat is just “dancin'” and having itself a good time. No pretentiousness here. No Sir.

My Value: It says to use after a bath or shower so it gives me yet another reason to take one! The public rejoices!

The curators admit that issues came up that made it impossible for them to send out the box that they had in mind. From shipping problems to weather it seemed that everything was against them.

However, I did some real pondering about this and while connecting all the dots I think I stumbled upon a greater conspiracy. Have you noticed all the products in the box containing goat milk? Have you stopped to think that these issues were all orchestrated by an underground goat syndicate bent on world domination?

Think about it.

Verdict: I liked this box. Sure it furthers the evil Goat Syndicate’s right hoof agenda but without any hard evidence it is the only thing I can rightly do…

This is one of the best reviews we’ve ever read about our boxes. We love it! Your sense of humor and irreverent wit makes us think you could be the next Tina Fey!

I love your review, very funny! The goats are out to get us, but as long as they keep giving us goat milk hot fudge I am good with that. That stuff tastes amazing.

I got the heart stud earrings in silver and love them. They put such classy jewelry in their boxes. But then I like pearls too which they had a few months ago.

Thanks! I love the jewelry! The heart studs are so cute and wearable. This is my second box from LLB so I didn’t get the pearl pieces. I keep trying to swap for them. One day they will be mine!

    Once again, LOL!

I think you should review the Box of Happies mentioned in MSA. I don’t think you should limit yourself to only the boxes you’ve subscribed to. I’d love to read what you write about the foam heart cards.
