3b (Beauty Beyond Borders) Review – May 2015

3b stands for Beauty Beyond Borders and is a beauty subscription that seeks to bring you the best in Asian and perhaps products. I have heard a ton about these types of products and so decided why not give this box a whirl because it was $12 which isn’t too much of a monthly gamble for me. I mean, all I have to do is get a cheaper bottle of wine or two and the budget it all good!

There is a waitlist to sign up. If you decide you are interested I suggest you get on it and they will email you to tell you when a spot opens up. I think I waited over a month. It is not like the fake Ipsy waitlist!

Cute little organza bag with all the products inside. I will totally reuse this bag!

Skinfood False Lashes
Skinfood False Lashes

Skinfood False Lashes: From time to time I will wear fake lashes for a special night. Usually I just layers tons of mascara on and call it a night. I doubt I will use these because they are beyond over the top. I could probably only pull off wearing these to Comic Con. I find the look a little too obvious or maybe young for my liking.

I can wear these to to get big doe eyes for begging for my way. How could someone say no?

TonyMoly Lovely Eyebrow Pencil (with swatch on wrist)

TonyMoly Lovely Eyebrow Pencil: Let it be heard in the kingdom of sub boxes that May 2015 shall forever be known as the month of the brow! I thought for sure that this pencil would be way too dark for me as it is all black. Once I opened I found it was much lighter. I am not sure if I will ever use this for my brow but I may use it as an eyeliner.

Great for drawing eyebrows on your cat to give her an air of authority.

Etude House Baking Powder BB Deep Cleansing Foam
Etude House Baking Powder BB Deep Cleansing Foam

Etude House Baking Powder BB Deep Cleansing Foam:Β The card that this came with assures me that this is popular. Thank you card. We all know how much I hate to use soap on my face so I may put this in my giveaway pile (I am going to set up my proper Facebook page to run some in the future). I think it is hilarious how everything these days are BB and CC. I think it is some code that will give us info into our origins but I have not cracked it yet.

Maybe it has enough Baking Powder to use in a cake! Cleaning Cake anyone? It’s diet!

TonyMoly Tangerine Whitening Hand Cream
TonyMoly Tangerine Whitening Hand Cream

TonyMoly Tangerine Whitening Hand Cream: This is cute because it looks like a tangerine and sort of like a boobie. Yay for boobies! I opened this pretty easily and was blown away by how good it smells. It really does smell like a tangerine. This is a hand cream that you can put on and no one will be upset that you smell like it unless they hate tangerines, which will lead me to believe they are the sort you don’t want to socialize with anyway.

It says it is whitening so will it work on my teeth? I am still looking for an excuse to eat it!

Verdict: This month of 3b did not blow me away but it was a ton of fun to go through. I really like the look of past reviews and am going to stick with the box a little bit more to give it a fair try. I am very much in love with the hand cream so that is a huge win in my book. I have never smelled a cream that actually captures the real smell of what it suppose to. I was sent things I would never have come across on my own and that I have never tried and that is a big reason I get boxes in the first place!

I felt like I was on forever! I think it is worth the wait because for a K pop type bag it is a really good price. Great starter to this type of beauty. Let me know when you get inland then we alan gauge times. I check my email tonight to see if I can figure the exact amount of time.

I can say I got the shipping email the same day I got the actual package lol

      Thanks for reading!

I keep meaning to sign up for the waitlist. i buy Beautique’s Head to Toes when I find them interesting and signed up for MaskGenie. I’m lost when it comes to BB and CC.

You need to wear the eyelashes and a statement necklace when asking for a raise so that you can review more subscription boxes πŸ™‚

You are right! My boss knows I do a website, but she doesn’t know which one. She saw me looking at MSA and was all impressed thinking it was mine. LOL I was like ummmm no, this woman has a real website, I have a little blog. Maybe I can wear those items and beg for a raise to spruce up my little space on the internet?

Oh and forgot to say I was thinking about the mask one. I bought a pack of that type of mask on amazon to see if I would like it. I’m not sure though. I barely can wash my face let alone do all the stuff I’m supposed to. Still the masks look so fun!

Subscriptionista – You need to check out the items in the Nina Garcia hair box and let me know if you can use anything besides the masks. Maybe the Shu Uemura’s Art of Hair Volume Maker to go with those eyelashes? Seriously, let me know. I have super thick hair and don’t need volume. I also air dry it so can’t use most of the items. I bought it mainly for the hair accessory and masks. The hair accessory is too small for my hair πŸ™

You are so kind! I’ll have a look and see. I WISH I had thick hair soooooo much. It seriously would add to my happiness. I wore the beaded necklace earring set you gave me today by the way! I got a lot of compliments!!! A few people kept trying to touch it. I am like WHOA no free touching! Lol

Yeah, this month was not as fun as the last few. Which I kind of feel like I shouldn’t say because the Tangerine hand cream is freaking amazing. But lashes… Meh. I always feel like Dolly Parton with them on. If I even manage to get them on. And then it feels so obvious. I don’t care how many tips I read or get from random people, I never feel comfortable with them on. /sigh

I totalllllly agree! Another reviewer of the box commented that she liked that the eyelashes were “for everyday.” I’m like yeah if you are snuffleupagus… Once I got my make up done at Mac and they put them on me. I looked very uhhhh different.

haha, I’m with you, i don’t like false lashes on me, especially with the amazing mascaras available. I use them as make up artist for theater All the time!
