Elizabeth and Clark Review – Summer 2015

Elizabeth and Clark asks the question, “Why are you paying $100 for that designer blouse?” Don’t you worry L & C, I totally am not going to pay $100 for any shirt unless it has a hand embroidered portrait of my cat eating kibble from the hoof of an ancient buffalo. Oddly, designers never return my calls, so I wait for the day.

Every season you can pick 1 shirt for $30, 2 for $25 each, and 3 for $20 each. They allow you to choose from their collection and you can cancel anytime. They also allow you to order older styles once you join, but you have to email them for that.

My box arrived the day I emailed for tracking. I have had a bad time getting my boxes lately. Does anyone else know the feeling of emailing about your package and being told you will get it that day? I always feel so shameful!

The Taylor: I decided to pick this shirt because they said it was their most popular shirt “EVER.” I can see why! I am very happy with the quality and how this shirt fits. I am not sure if I will ever convert it to be a short sleeve but there is a button to make it happen. I am super impressed with the extra snap by the bust. With this shirt you KNOW you won’t be flashing anything you don’t want to!

Perfect to wear to a meeting where you may also find yourself arm wrestling! Roll up your sleeve with attitude!

The Olsen
The Olsen

The Olsen: I seriously tried to take a better picture but couldn’t. Just imagine an actually black shirt and not one that looks like some hologram. This is a soft asymmetrical shirt that can be dressed up or down. When I took this out of the package it took me longer then it should to figure out how to put it on. I kept wanting to put my head in the sleeve!

Perfect to wear with flip flops and a tiara. People will wonder if I am dressed up or down?

The Kelly - Back

The Kelly - Front
The Kelly – Front

The Kelly: The front is a bit plain but made to be paired with all those statement necklaces I suddenly have. I think the back is unexpected and very pretty. It also makes it easier to move around in. I know I will wear this a lot since warmer weather brings on the risk of sweating through my longer sleeved shirts. Ever go to shake someone’s hand and realize something isn’t quite right? I have. I swear I sweat more sitting doing computer work then I do working out. Using my brain must be very taxing for me!

Business in the front, party in the back!

Verdict: If you have a job that requires these types of tops or maybe just wanna look like you do, then Elizabeth and Clark might just be the subscription you need. They come out every season and you get to choose from the collection so you won’t find yourself holding up a tulle pirate shirt wondering what went wrong. The quality is great for the price and the service is outstanding. I think a subscription to this would be the perfect gift for a new graduate who might actually find a job.

I had no idea they offered more than what MSA shows in her review. I need a blouse with a bust button. This is exactly why I don’t wear blouses.

They are offering the same shirt for their next sending. But you can get it earlier just by joining and emailing them. They have great service and the price is really good. I am pretty impressed with what I was sent.

I get the side eye from my cat when I bring more clothing in the place. I really have WAY too much. However, these shirts are totally going to be worn for work, and the black one is super soft and perfect for summer nights when I want to look nice but not like I am trying. If that makes any sense!

Cute shirts, I can’t do one shoulder shirts, the whole strapless bra is a no go.

I didn’t realize the Olsen is an off the shoulder. Now the picture makes sense!

Have you tried the crown from Loot Crate with the Olsen? You are depriving us of some great pictures. I am still waiting on that velvet dress picture 🙂

We all need to be on the same time zone. My English Shepherd is sleeping. Her philosophy is early to bed, early to rise, makes her herding wise. (keep in mind it is 12:30 am on a weeknight right now). My older son’s orange tiger cat thinks I am the doorman. Meow Open the door to come in and eat, Meow Open the door to go back out. I should be in bed typing on my cell so I don’t have to play doorman.

I do need to take pics! I’m behind. Too much blogging juice makes me sit and watch trash TV and not write.

I feel bad that I sparked on the dress because some have liked it. But once you all see it on me you will understand lol

My boobs aren’t big, but they need support. I hate strapless bras. I had one I wore forever. Like it was the best. Finally after years it broke. The best damn strapless bra in the world.

if I can’t wear a regular bra, I won’t buy it, ah middle age when gravity rules fashion.

I always forget about bras. I get caught up in, ohhh how cool this top has cut outs! Only to find myself never wearing the top!
