Artistry Gifts Monthly Theme Box – July 2015

Dislcosure:  This box was paid for by me. There are no affiliate links in this post.

I have been admiring reviews written about the Artistry Gift Wrap Subscription for over a year. Artistry Gifts started a monthly themed lifestyle box in March 2015. I’ve been following the reviews and treated myself to a 3-month subscription on Mother’s Day with a discount code. I subsequently followed up with adding the bimonthly gift wrap to it for the term of the subscription. The July Theme lifestyle box  ‘Seashells by the Seashore’ is my second box in the three-month subscription.

Subscription: Artistry Gift Monthly Themed Box

Cost: $49.99 monthly, $59.99 monthly with gift wrap add-on. Gift wrap items are based on a preference survey. Click here to view the gift wrap preference survey.

What to Expect: 4-5 giftable items such as candles, spa items home, jewelry, snacks, stationary. The items are curated around a theme. An email is sent out that allows you to select one of two items.

I tried to cut and paste the selection choices for July from the email and wasn’t able to do it. Then I snapped a photo of the email and noticed how my computer screen needed to be clean. It’s cleaner now, but not clean enough. The choices for July are the Wave Tumblers and Coastal Seashore Terry Towel or 4 Coastal Seashore Reversible Placemats.

No tag line needed. You should be laughing at my lack of technical know-how. It is amazing that I even figured out how to blog.

Artistry Gifts July Theme Box ‘Seashells by the Seashore’:  My little guy loves the beach that we rarely visit.  He is excited about “his” box.

Who remembers the episode from the Brady Bunch when Cindy said,  “She Sells Seashells by the Seashore.”?

My July Selection
My July Selection

Paper Source Wave Tumblers: I was a good mommy and let my little guy select the items because he loves the beach. Good choice.

I love how the lemonade makes the waves stand out.

It’s all about the presentation.

Coastal Seashore Kitchen Terry Towel by Kay Dee Designs: This is the second half of my selection. It’s made out of 100% cotton and made in China. I love how the towel matches my little guy’s plate.  The plate is not included. The slogan for the terry towel is For a well-dressed kitchen.

I hope the towel doesn’t leave to search for a well-dressed kitchen. It has been commandeered to be the little guy’s hand towel.

Two’s Company Shell Toothpicks: The shell toothpicks are made in India.

The shell toothpicks and holder have a good weight to them.  The shells are real seashells.

They provide a fun look for summertime parties. Guess who wants to eat with seashell toothpicks? The seashell toothpicks are the little guy’s favorite item.

Why can’t WordPress spell hor d’Oeuvre?

Two's Company Relax & Rejuvenate Ocean Breeze

Two’s Company Relax & Rejuvenate Ocean Breeze: The sachet is wrapped in plastic making it perfect for gifting. I’m going to use this on the farm because it is made in China. I have a couple room sprays made in the USA that I use at my main residence.

A delightful ocean breeze in a landlock state.

Inis Or Eau de Parfum
Inis Or Eau de Parfum

Inis Or Eau de Parfum: The parfum is a unisex blend of citrus, spice, and green notes. It has a light scent that is tantalizing. I will be wearing the parfum.

Beautiful Scenery

I want to be there with my feet in the sand! The scenery made me think of the song Kokomo by The Beach Boys. I’m in the wrong geographical location because Inis is made in Ireland.

I want a t-shirt that says “My son received a beach box, and all I got is a parfum.”

The Beach!
The Beach!

It’s the beach! I love the details that are in this card. It even came with stickers to put on the sign. Click here for an adorable cat popup card. The popup card is on my son’s headboard.

The only thing that is missing in the card is me the little guy.

I Pop Linnea Design Sand Dollar Keychain

IPOPSHOP Sand Dollar Keychain: The artwork is by Linnea Design, and the keychain is by iPop. I like that there are a clip and a key ring on the keychain. It will probably end up as a zipper pull on my younger’s son backpack.

It’s good to have options.

Verdict: Sadly we were not able to take our family vacation to the lake this year due to circumstances beyond our control. This box came at the perfect time for my younger son. The box is well-curated and brightened up his week. I don’t put prices in my posts, but do want to share that the prices are listed on the information sheet. I found the prices to be correct and not inflated.

*Distracted* Those tomatoes look sooooooo yummy.

They are yummy! The tiny red tomatoes are Matt Wild Cherry. I don’t recall the name of the other cherry tomato. I may have a few Cherokee Purples fully ripen next week.

I like the box, but like with past boxes, I don’t really see anything that is giftable in it. I mean, I expect things like glasses, towels and keychains from my mother as gifts, but I can’t imagine given those to anyone. Even as a hostess gift, they seem a bit too humble.

The whole thing seems overpriced to me as well, but then I’m very cheap.

Nana – Thank you for commenting! I agree that this subscription isn’t going to have the amazing value that PopSugar or LLB has in their boxes. It’s a good thing to keep in mind when decided on what boxes to order.
