Goodebox is a subscription discovery service with a focus on natural and organic beauty and care products. Upon joining Goodebox, you will answer an intensive survey that is used to select products that are best for you. This means that your box may differ from other other subscribers. My box is not reflective of all products that are offered this month.

Subscription: Goodebox

Cost: $21.00 monthly, $60.00 for 3 months, $114.00 for 6 months

What to Expect: Natural or organic beauty and personal care products along with occasional samplings of health and wellness products.

I bought a couple Goodebox LE boxes last year. I started  buying monthly boxes at the end of last year when they were available as a one-time purchase. This led to a subscription.

I’m looking at the products and see a story. I’m going to give it a try and see if anyone likes it.

Once upon a time, a woman walked around an amazing store surrounded by gorgeous, sparkly beauty products that promised her eternal youth, unbelievable beauty, lots of men, and untold riches. Each beauty product raised the stakes more and more as she walked around. Suddenly she stopped as she came across a plain box.

I went to the recycle bin and pulled the box out in order to tell you this story!
I went to the recycle bin and pulled the box out in order to tell you this story!

It was brown and simply stated, “goodebox: Delivering Health Beauty & Natural Wellness.”. The “G’ wasn’t capitalized. “Isn’t that a sign of poor self-esteem,” she wondered. Where was the flashiness of other beauty products around her? Why,  there wasn’t even a gift with purchase included with this box. Thinking a cosmetic without a gift with purchase will make a funny selfie, she opened the box.

Amazing Products!
Amazing Products!

Voila! Five amazing products selected just for her appeared. A few were full-sized and a few were deluxe-sized. “What a strange combination of products, ” she said to herself. Shoppers began to give her a wide berth because she didn’t realize she was talking out loud.

Acure brightening facial scrub 4 oz
July’s spoiler – Acure brightening facial scrub 4 oz

She ooh and aahed over the first product. She read Sub Bella’s Glamorganic Goddess Beauty Kit Review and exclaimed how fortunate it was that Acure was included in the box.  So many different ingredients such as organic sea kelp and organic blackberry. Where were the hard to pronounce chemicals? She applied the scrub and waited to “sea” the difference.

100% Pure Purity spot treatment acne care 1 oz

She was unsure about opening up the next item. 100% Pure? Will she be rubbing flowers across her face? She sighed in relief when she saw it was another beauty product.  She was confused by so many flowers in a beauty product. Honeysuckle, Goldenseal, even Thyme!

More flowers! This time the beauty product even had vitamins. The label told her which ingredients were the vitamins. Amazing!  She thought to herself, “My friends will be jealous because I have a toner from this amazing box! Sub Bella says they are rarely in boxes.”  WAIT!

Beautiful blue bottle

She held the bottle up to the harsh store light and saw a beautiful blue bottle. Is it possible? Maybe it is glowing with a little Reiki Healing Energy and lots of love. She opened the bottle and …

checked to see if the toner did glow.  She pondered for a few seconds about the color of Reiki Healing Energy and then became distracted by a hair product.

Yarok Feed Your Shine hair serum. Yarok is one of my favorite brands.

She’s all about the hair. This is a language she knew and understand. Still she took a peek at the ingredients and saw the bunny emblem. After wondering if Subscriptionista will lend her the bunny book, she realized that bunnies were safe if she used this brand. “What a wonderful idea,” she thought to herself. Shoppers gave her a crazy look and went their merry way.

All Good Coconut Sunstick SPF 30. This is my 3rd stick from subscription boxes. I use them to reapply sunscreen on my arms while driving.

She picked up the final item. She nodded to herself when she saw the bunny sign. The ingredients were what she was expecting after seeing the first four items. More importantly she’s saving the coral reefs by using this sunscreen. “I finally get it,” she whispers to herself as she took her Goodebox and walked passed all the gifts with purchase oblivious to shopper’s stares. “This is truly a Goodebox,’ she said. This time she wanted everyone to hear her.

Verdict: July’s box is amazing. Not all months have full-size products. Keep that in mind if you decide to subscribe. I emailed them to let them know that I received an acne product by mistake. It is marked as none on my profile. They emailed me back explaining that it was sent because of the large pores that I marked on my questionnaire. They agreed that the choice was not appropriate for me and will be sending me a new item. This is the first time I had an issue and am pleased with their response.

Thank you! It’s because everyone believed I could do it. I wasn’t too sure.

We know you can do it 🙂 Very enjoyable review. I got the scrub, toner, and hair cream. Then I got 100% Pure dark chocolate pigmented ultra lengthened mascara and Oneself perfume oil from Hawaii – Hawaiian Flower Lei 2 ml sample, very strong as it is an oil. It is growing on me though. This is rapidly becoming my favorite box. I really love Acure and 100% Pure has some good stuff.

I love your ‘story’! Very cool, keep it up. And Subsciptionist I am looking forward to your next review too 🙂

Shana – Thank You! Feel free to send me a picture of your box. I’ll add it to the post as an example of a different box. Your box sounds amazing! Does the mascara smell like chocolate?

I think your box should be arriving soon. I forgot the Magic Pads and will send them to you next week.
