In Real Life: Traveling

Disclosure: All items were paid for by me. There are affiliate links in this post.

My teenager is leaving for a mission trip early Sunday morning. I have to drop him off at 3:30 am. Is that late night or early morning? We’ve been busy packing and getting everything ready. All that is left are the items that he needs for the car ride down.

Baggu bag from Kloverbox.

Baggu Small 3-D Zip Bag in Mint Stripe The mission trip leaders realized that sleepy teens and parents may forget stuff and had them pack up their luggage earlier in the day. My son will be using this bag to pack up last minute items such as his toothbrush and toothpaste. He will place this bag inside his backpack.

Nicole Miller Round Interlock Headphones – The headphones are from the PopSugar September 2014 box.  The set I gave him back in September recently died. He was happy to see that I was able to swap for another pair. It is a must for listening to music on his phone.

Kloverbox BeachHouse Pillow and Bespoke Blanket.

Kloverbox + MSA Beach House Pillow:  Thank you, Subscriptionista, for sending the Beach House Pillow! It’s the perfect size for sleeping in the car. I think he will do a lot of sleeping on the trip down.

Bespoke Go-Throw Over-Sized Linen Blanket: This blanket will keep him cozy during the long car ride. It’s long enough to double-up if he feels cold or use as a single layer for comfort.

How are you using your subscription box items in real life? Feel free to share below and whatever else is on your mind.

Ahhhh… Continued ramblings on a previous post of yours but to this one …
Gifted those earbuds as a his/hers Xmas gift (bought 2 boxes of that Popsugar box).
The MSA/Kloverbox pillow is a throw pillow. Good idea for the car but my ones are too wee to be trusted with pillows (foresee pillow fighting) they get blankets.
I gifted the MSA02 blanket for Xmas.
I just used up all my candles from the Prize Candle Mystery box. I used the charms on my wee one’s buti pods (that’s just a mini pouch set that holds wipes so you don’t have to carry a big pack). I am now burning a Popsugar “Coco” candle in the living room and Rosario Dawson (bought on Best of Quarterly) candle in the bathroom.
Where/are you a Nina subscriber? I found that most of her boxes especially last summer’s box worked out well for parents with kids. I dropped all my “Quarterly” subs after the no return policy with the shipping prices happened but hopefully will buy Nina’s semi-annual box whenever that comes out if the spoilers are great.
Maybe do a post of “What I gifted and/or RAOKed from sub boxes” and “empties with feedback” for an ideas of postings?
Have a safe and caffeinated trip 🙂

Pnut – you have great ideas. We’ll try them out as blog posts. You did a great job on gifting items.

I don’t think my boys understand the concept of throw pillows. This is why I am going to hide the throw pillow from Decoterie. I have a tracking number for the box, but no movement. I need to be more consistent in burning candles. I am great about burning them in the winter time. I was a Nina Subscriber. My younger son loved the fish pouch.

Fabulous post and best wishes to your teen on his trip. Today I had coffee from Driftaway coffee sub, used Cristal li serum on hair, and I wore a fabletics shirt to Zumba on Friday. Thanks Bella!

Thank You! I go back and forth on trying fabletics. How was the coffee? Do you like the serum?
