Artistry Gifts Monthly Theme Box – August 2015

Dislcosure:  This box was paid for by me. There are affiliate links in this post.

I have been admiring reviews written about the Artistry Gift Wrap Subscription for over a year. Artistry Gifts started a monthly themed lifestyle box in March 2015. I’ve been following the reviews and treated myself to a 3-month subscription on Mother’s Day with a discount code. I subsequently followed up with adding the bimonthly gift wrap to it for the term of the subscription. The August theme is “Celebration of Summer”.

Subscription: Artistry Gift Monthly Themed Box

Cost: $49.99 monthly, $59.99 monthly with gift wrap add-on. Gift wrap items are based on a preference survey. Click here to view the gift wrap preference survey.

What to Expect: 4-5 giftable items such as candles, spa items home, jewelry, snacks, stationary. The items are curated around a theme. An email is sent out that allows you to select one of two items.

Artistry Gifts offers a choice each month. August choices are:

Old Fashioned Lemonade

Orchard Peach Iced Tea

I’m improving as a blogger! Last month I couldn’t figure out how to place the choices in the post

The items! I thought I hid the box from the boys after my little guy helped me open it. Later I found J and T munching on salt water taffy. Anyone recognize the blanket? The blanket fits in well with the colors.

There’s a reason for no eating before pictures!

Canvas Tote Bag

Mary Lake-Thompson Canvas Tote Bag:   I kept thinking to myself that this bag looks vaguely familiar. I figured it out. It reminds me of Subscriptionista’s header. I am going to see if she wants it. The bag is 100% natural cotton and is designed, printed, and packaged in the USA on bags made in India. It is washable. It’s great for carrying groceries such as boxed items and produce. Camilla might approve of the Chicken in the Basket Tote Bag. The company also sells certified organic Bad Kitty Cat Nip perfect for mischievous kitties!

A stylish tote for when plastic bags are frowned upon.

Two’s Company Flower Pot Citronella Candle: I spy with my little eye a Puss in Boots tail. The candle should last about 20 hours allowing us to enjoy the last bit of summer bug-free. It also matches the Bespoke blanket! We will be using this candle.

How to tell you are receiving too many subscription boxes? You can tell when you can match your subscription box candles to your subscription box blankets.

Outlaw Soap!!!
Outlaw Soap!!!

Outlaw Laundry on the Line & BlackBerry Soap: I can’t believe it took me over a year to finally receive an Outlaw Soap in a subscription box. I keep asking bugging Subscriptionista to review their subscription boxes. I think the combination would produce a lot of enjoyment for us. They sell unicorn poop, bacon soap (although Subscriptionista will probably skip that one), Hair of the Dog (whiskey with coffee), and other unusual soaps. The soaps are made in the California, USA.

No animal products in the soap.

The goat syndicate approves!

Old Fashioned Summertime Lemonade Mix
Old Fashioned Summertime Lemonade Mix

Old Fashioned Summertime Lemonade Mix: The Made in the USA lemonade mix by Mary Lake-Thompson caused an uproar with the little guy. He refused to drink it because it was a powder, not lemons. My husband tried it and liked it. It says to add 2 heaping tablespoons into 8 ounces of cold water and stir. He felt it was a little weak and added more. It’s a fun summertime item and will be used.

Don’t mess with the little guy’s lemonade.

Sweet's Salt Water Taffy
Sweet’s Salt Water Taffy

Sweet’s Saltwater Taffy in Watermelon: Sweet’s Saltwater Taffy, listed as a bonus, is not your Jersey Shore taffy. The world famous gourmet taffy is made in Utah. The main difference is that it is whipped, not pulled which gives it a more flavorful taste. I believe there were 10-15 pieces based on what everyone owed up to eating. There were 2 left when I took the picture. The Saltwater taffy was also featured in the Artistry Gifts La Mer box. The family is hoping it will be featured in the Best of the Best Box.

Can't resist!
Can’t resist!

And then there were none.

This is starting to sound like an Agatha Christie novel.

Verdict: The items fit the theme perfectly. My family enjoyed the box especially the saltwater taffy. It was nice to enjoy the last bit of summer. I renewed the theme box for another 3 months. Please let me know if you want to see the gift wrap subscription box reviewed.

I KNEW the goats would come back into the picture!!! They are always watching so like use the soap as a hand soap and not a body soap unless you wear the tin foil hat I sent you!!!

I use the tinfoil hat all the time especially when weeding the garden in my nightgown! The goats need to try harder. The coaster conglomerate scored big time today.
