GlossyBox is a beauty subscription box that run $21 a month or less if you decide you want to go in for a longer subscription. The box includes higher end brands as well as ones you can peep at Target. Usually most items are full size. I would admit that GlossyBox is one of my favorite beauty subscriptions because they tend to send out some interesting skincare items.
I also have found that their customer service has been really good in my personal dealings with them. It might take a few days for them to get back to me but they have always resolved issues I have had. Like when I forgot to use a coupon code, or the time I thought I signed up but it did not go through.
The actual boxes they pack the items in are really nice. I find it so tough to throw them out, and this is not just because I am a sad hoarder who holds on to crap I really shouldn’t. If you like packaging they really bring it!
Another month another Glossybox full of goodies!
Pop Beauty – Kajal Pen (Sooty Black): I am one of the few people who are happy to get another black liner. I know I will use it! I like that this has a smudge tip on one side, and I also like the formula because it glides right on. It is a pencil though and not really a pen in my opinion.
I wonder if chimney sweeps thought the soot contoured anything?
Sparitual – Nail Lacquer (Arroyo): This is an especially cute color! I like that it has a wee bit of shimmer but not a ton. It says “lively” not “disco nails.” So perfect for work, and for not blinding my cat should my hand catch the light as I reach out to pet her! She said partying disco style was her “other life” and that “she put it behind her now.”
Glossybox gives the tip that using paraffin wax before the manicure will lead to “a spa like experience.” I am pretty sure if I tried to do anything like that it would turn into an “ER experience.”
Manna Kadar Cosmetics – Lash Primer: I popped this on my lashes with a gusto that would make you ladies proud. Then I layered on my mascara and I could see a difference in my lashes for sure. I would use this before an important event or if I have a girls night where they would surely notice my plump lashes. I wouldn’t use it daily because I am kinda lazy and I don’t think I could bear to fit another step in my routine. I mean, I am lucky if I brush my hair!
My quest for easy Snuffleupagus lashes continues…
Glaglow – Youth Daily Clearing Cleanser: This brand has a cult following. I think that part of their rituals is to place mud at various points of the body in order to beautify and be harmonious with the earth. I am not really sure how one gets into such a cult, but I think it has something to do with the mysterious mud. I will do more studies and get back to you on this.
Do you think it is witchcraft that this turns from a mask into a cleanser?
Lollipops Makeup- Lip Balm (Delicieuse): I noticed that they said this protects against UV rays but there is no SPF listed. It also says it protects against pollution which is a pretty broad statement. It is paraben free which is nice! I am a bad reviewer and did not try this product yet because I have so many lip stuff to get to at the moment. However, people who have reviewed it seem to love the flavor!
Maybe it protects against noise pollution and when applied, stops someone from talking too much?
Verdict: Glossybox usually does a great job value wise for me and this month was no different! $21 a month is a nice deal for those who are into trying new products and don’t mind a mix of higher end products along with brands that are not as popular yet. I can pretty much use everything in the box and I am excited to try everything out!

I was taking a sip of water when I read about how their customer service is really good to you. Drinking and laughing is a bad mix. You are lucky! Or are they improving in their cs? I’ll read the rest in a little bit.
I know right?!? I guess my problems have been kinda small!
It’s a great review! I love the cat comment. I did not know people use paraffin wax at home.
I have seen kits at Sally’s beauty but I have never in my life thought “Oh I know what I wanna do! I will get this kit and get cat hair into even more of my stuff!”
My hands are too jacked up for such things anyways… My feet could probably use it. You wouldn’t know since yours are so succulent.
Ladies I have one (just ask Pnut)!
I should use it more often. When I first got it I left it on all the time but somehow my husband said it was an energy sucker so now I hardly use it (it takes awhile for all the wax to get heated through). Got it via Amazon (shocker I know).
Just when I think you are the best, you get better!!! I am the type who will actually forget about something like that being plugged in and well… might end in tears!
I bet your friends love to come over!!!!!!!!
Oh remember we live in America. The wax will not overheat and/or melt away. The tears will be from the electricity bill I assure you 😉
One of my friends appreciates succulent hands and feet and I would make sure I had this for her. She moved back home to Cali :/ miss her.
All this talking and I should really use the thing for self-succulency :p
LOL Vote YES for self-succulency!!!
We could use some more of that here in Cali!!!!!
That’s right. They are beautiful, succulent feet 🙂 I tried the wax once with a manicure and did not like it.
Why not? I liked it, it made my skin so soft! I just hated waiting!
I used to love to pour glue on my hands as a kid and then slowly peel it off like snakeskin… So fun lol
It was a bad manicure experience overall. Very disappointing because it was at a resort spa,
The best spa’s I have been to have been SE Asia and China. The worst Mexico and Cen America. I feel like resorts don’t get it most of the time!
I used to have a paraffin wax bath thingy at home. I made a mess everywhere so while it was awesome it wasn’t worth it to me. I tried subbing to GlossyBox a few months ago. I had nothing but trouble with the subscription. However, the customer service reps were always helpful; just not helpful enough to get me to keep subscribing.
Is their a GlamGlow conglomerate to go with the Goats? It’s been everywhere lately.
That is really a good question Cecilia and as I was looking through my stuff I noticed that I had a few of their products. I believe it is a cult, and that the mud has something to do with conversions. Now, does this cult conglomerate follow the Goat Syndicate who long to be our Goat Overlords? I believe only the coasters know for sure.
I need to try out my Glamglow.
What products do you want to try most from them? Maybe I have them! I can chuck it in the overdue box I have for you!
I want to try one of the famous mud treatments or are they all like that? I want to see what I am missing out on.
Ok! They have mostly mud stuff I will just send you the most natural out of what I have!
