Meowbox is a cat centered subscription box that seeks to make your kitty(ies) feel like they are truly the one and only love(s) of your life. Sure, you tell your cat all the time. You cater to your cat spending time and money. Still, they remain unconvinced that they truly are the love of your life. We have all been there. Meowbox is just trying to convince them for you!

For each box you buy they donate a can of food to a little fur overlord in need. You are sent a code to check the status of your can. The program is called “One Box Can” and I love that this subscription gives back! You get your tracking code when you get your box shipping tracking. I took a look at mine and it looks like my can is making its way to Arizona to Halo Animal Shelter!

FouFou Brands – Fou-Stick Calm: Is it bad that I am wearing this right now because I personally find the scent soothing? I have never heard of such a product and with an anxious cat and being anxious about my anxious cat I was excited to give it a try. I first of course tried it on myself and I really do dig the scent. It smells like lavender so if you don’t like that scent or are allergic then I am willing to bet you will not find it soothing at all. Unless getting carted to Urgent Care is a relaxing experience for you…

I put a little of this on the hind paws of my little darling and watched her sniff them. She seemed to be totally cool with the scent and yes she did go right to sleep. But she tends to do that anyway… I will keep trying this out!

My soothing smell balm would smell like mimosas, a good book, and chocolate. With top notes of genuine compliments and rounded out with a pay raise.

 

 

 

Hauspanther – Modshakers: My cat LOVES this toy! Right away she went after it! I just shook it a little for her to come over and check it out and then she ended up going crazy. I had to wrestle it away because she was so passionate about figuring out where the sound was coming from. This little toy is well made and will hold up to all the biting.

The website has awesome designs from toys to even cat beds. The “Cat Style Expert” Kate has 11 cats! She is who I want to be when I grow up. I mean this. Her Tuxedo cat Sylvia could have her own following because she has what looks to be a white mustache!  I sort of wish my mustache was remarkable. Anyway, she has a very modern eye that translates into clean lines and happy cats.

Now I know why Sophia gives me a weird look if my tummy rumbles, she just wants to attack me!

 

 

 

 

Snow Leopard Trust – Felted Snake: My favorite item in the box this snake toy is stylish, a cats dream to play with, and does good for the world! A portion of the money that goes towards these toys helps support the Snow Leopard Trust which helps those lovely snow kitties and the communities that share their habitat.

This felted snake was handmade by sheep herders in Mongolia. That is really something! When you have a guest over or maybe you just like to annoy your loved ones you can keep casually remarking about how your kitty “helps the world” but “putting words into actions” and that while she may sleep a ton that cute felted snake she attacks are all the proof anyone would need.

I seriously want to put this in my car with a post it that says “Theft Protection” as decoration. No one would steal from my car again!

 

 

Multipet – Catnip Cup: I have had cats that don’t go crazy for catnip but thankfully Sophia really has a nose for it. I like single serving cups because it keeps that nice catnip scent fresh. These can be resealed for even more lasting catnip goodness. I can totally imagine a kitty office where all the kitties are gossiping about managements late night partying, and antics. At some point while making a presentation one of those same hard living cats makes a sweeping gesture and what should fall our of his fancy suit? You got it. A Catnip cup.

My kitty has to find a way to cope with life somehow why not the nip?

 

 

Prime Taste Treats – Dental Cat Treats: Made in the USA just like me! These treats are meant to freshen kitty breath which is really what my cat needs. Like big time. However, as you may know Sophia is super picky about treats and 99% of the time will not eat them. She will meow and meow for her kibble but if you put a quality treat in front of her she just sniffs it and walk away. I like that their is an option to request no treats and they will substitute another item in place of them!

To bad humans don’t have treats that get rid of tartar and freshen breath. If they do make them may I suggest a “cool ranch” flavor? I mean you could do a “cooler ranch” flavor but that is sort of showing off from the get go.

 

 

Verdict: I was nervous that this box would be a let down. I have been plenty burned in the past by boxes who have sent me inferior items that I would not even let my enemies cat have. However, this was a solid box with items that were both useful for my cat, gorgeous, did a little more for the world then make my household happy. I am excited, if only because this subscription GETS cats and their owners. It is disappointing that many other boxes treat their cat boxes as afterthoughts. For Meowbox, cats are the main show.
