I had a week to mull over the box, read forum and blog comments, and ponder why I wasted $100.00. A little self-reflection never hurts anyone. Sashi Noa Ear Climbers: The made-in-the-USA earrings are cubic zirconia in 18k rose gold vermeil. They are dazzling. I took the picture in natural light. Subscriptionista is going to love the earrings! I watched the reveal video three times and took notes. It does irritate me that the curator states the earrings make a great gift if you don’t wear earrings. It may be true, but people are buying the box to make themselves look stylish. $100.00 is a lot of money to spend to receive items that you cannot use.
Sloane Stationary Notebook Set: The notebooks are nice. I doubt I will use them in public, but they will be put to use.
The villagers are checking the notebook for clues.
One Love Organics Gardenia Tea Serum: I was shocked to see this in the box. I received the serum in the April 2015 Popsugar box. I wasn’t expected to see an item that was already in a subscription box months ago. I love One Love Organics and am happy to receive another serum plus a coupon code. We love One Love Organics!!!

TopShop Fedora Hat: My older son told me that the hat would look better on someone less mature as in someone around his own age. Turns out he wasn’t too far from the truth. The curator states in the video that a 19-year model and a 20-year old model wear fedoras. While I knew I was beyond the suggested age of the box, I did not realize that the fashion aspect was based on adults not old enough to drink in the state of Pennsylvania.
The curator states all the cool girls wear Topshop. Apparently, so do cool boys. I was eating when she said this and almost chocked. Are we back in high school? I would hate to have her job and say all of this with a straight face. I couldn’t. I admire the curator, but I dislike the item selections. The hat has become a detective hat. J loves it and wears it everywhere.
Stay away from bonfires while wearing this hat. Also from mad villagers with pitchforks and torches. The hat lacks stiffness and does not sit on my head correctly.
The Laundress Fabric Fresh Spray: My teenage son took this from me! He’s using it for his sport bags. It has an amazing scent of Lilly of the Valley, jasmine sandalwood, musk, and citrus. The spray ended up being my favorite item in the box.
LA Boheme Rose Gold Watch with Dual Straps: I was excited about the hero item spoiler because I love watches. It was bright outside when I took the picture. I had a hard time seeing the pictures resulting in a few being out of focus.
The villagers are closing in.
Both my husband and I tried to attach the black bands to the watch. We also tried to remove the other gray band. It has a spring pin that should make it easy to switch out. Nada. It was easy to reattach the gray band. I was not impressed. My husband wanted to get out a pocket knife to fix the black band. I said no!
SUBSCRIPTIONISTA SAYS STOP!!! Time for a happy ending with a cute cat picture!
Subscriptionista says, ‘Like imagine you live in an overpriced studio apartment and went on a date with a dude you met on tinder last night and u woke up decided a long flowy maxi and a vest go together and threw on the hat. You didn’t eat any breakfast but had coffee and you will totally grab a cup of cold pressed juice because you believe in being healthy… You worry that you need to start thinking about Coachella next year and which dates will be best…That’s what the style says to me lol ”
Subella – Makes sense to me especially since it was inspired by Coachella attendees.
The mad villagers wandered away satisfied a Subscriptionista story, and a cute cat picture ended the review.
Verdict: The hat did not fit correctly, neither my husband and I can’t switch out the watch bands, notebooks I won’t use in public, and earrings I won’t use. I paid $100.00 for laundry spray. Oh, I forgot the watch is usable with the grey straps. It’s not one of my better purchases.

I have received each of the Zoe boxes and have always been meh on them. I get enough out of the few items I enjoy that I stay subscribed but I haven’t loved an entire box yet. I haven’t loved any of the hero items except the bag last time. I really wanted to love the watch this time but I just HATE wearing watches. (When I left my practice to teach I stopped wearing them with the exception of the one from the MizzFit box which is just fun.) The fedora actually fits me but I don’t have many places to wear one (I am not the Coachella type). My favorite items are the notebooks.
Thank you for sharing. That makes me feel better. I’m not sure when it is appropriate to wear a fedora. I forgot to add that to the review! I was surprised that there was no additional information given about the fedora such as appropriate situations to wear and how to style it properly.
I have a fedora that I love to wear. I treat it like I do a scarf: an accessory that makes a simple jeans and a tee outfit more interesting. HOWEVER, I am surprised that they included a “sized” item. Better quality hats do come in sizes, and from reading reviews, this hat is small on most people. I wonder if it comes in sm/med/lg and they just sent out a small or if it was made to only fit tweens. Either way, I’m sorry you were (rightfully) disappointed.
I like box, don’t love it. The hat is too small, the watch too big. I will use the earrings, serum, and spray. Great review, thanks all.

The watch is bleh. It’s an ersatz vintage Hamilton watch. Neither band looks correct and the proportions are off. I hope the spray is amazing.

Great Review! I wholeheartedly concur. And did you notice that if you scroll down/up slowly over the earrings, it looks like they’re rotating? I’ve been doing this for I don’t know how many minutes now. That’s some crafty photog work! either that or I’ve got some serious brain gremlins. (i have literally never heard of or said the term brain gremlins before this moment and I don’t know why it came out like that, but it felt descriptively appropriate).
I’m thinking this whole post is a testament to my post-econ paper, overtired, 2am self. Future me will likely be pretty embarrassed. (Sorry future me)
Wonderful review! No pitchfork here. When reading Rachel Zoe reviews on other blogs, I would either say “glad you like your box” or not comment at all because I didn’t want to be negative. I don’t sub to this box and haven’t liked $100 worth of any of them so far (from what I’ve seen in pictures). I’ve learned on blogs that a lot of people don’t wear earrings (those do look great and will look fabulous on Subscriptionista!) and many others have issues with watch straps…
You know, I loved everything except that hat. Which I wanted to love and my dad gum head was just too big. HOWEVER my best friend (who has a petite head) is doing a life changing Eat, Pray, Love type thing this weekend, and I gave it to her as a gift for new hat, new you. She was THRILLED with it. The quality was really top notch, but just not for me. I adore the look of that watch, but it snags on EVERYTHING.
I think that if someone gets mad at you for respectfully stating your disappointment with a box, then they have some issues that aren’t your responsibility to deal with. A lot of people are crowing about how fashionable the hat is, but that doesn’t mean squat if it doesn’t fit on your head or doesn’t work with your style. I got this box because I happened to need a new watch and I really liked the one she included, so I figured I could afford to gamble on the rest of the box. (Other than the hat) I like the other items, but none of them are spot-on perfect for me either. Overall, I have pretty positive feelings about this box, but if I’m not over the moon for the winter hero item, I will probably cancel, because I can think of a lot of awesome things to do with $100.
I’m sorry the box was a bust for you. It’s such a crummy feeling to open up a subscription package and regret having purchased it.
I liked just enough items that would have “paid” for the box at full retail. The One Love Organics (thank you Popsugar I am trying to swap for another one of those!) the Earrings which funny enough my mother just gave me a cute pair of crawlers very similar to these from Claire’s so no they are not real gold but this is a “trendy” item so don’t know if it needs to last forever, lol, and the Laundress Fabric spray. I have a pillow spray from Bath and Body Works and just love scented sprays in general.(was there a HG post for scent sprays yet?) I’ve always liked some of the Zoe box items and not liked others, so once again I’m glad I didn’t buy this one. If they ever have a hero item I must have then I’ll get one, otherwise the swap page is my friend!

I had this box for a few days ago and since I am packing our family for an reunion (now the above IRL makes sense), I needed to unbox Zoe for the $100 laundry spray Sub Bella mentioned.
Hat: I left in wrapper to be gifted. Why is it green *sighs* is this another offloading on a subbed product again? I have too many bucket hats I hardly wear. I try to fit in with the high schoolers but Topshop is really an overpriced HM and never bought anything at Topshop.
Watch: I opened the wrapper and pouch did not open inside packaging. Face of he watch appeared way to big for my wee wrists, Will be gifted. UK vendors must need business if they are flying their products over the pond for Zoe this is the second UK item, both of which were the hero item for their season.
Earrings: Wished this came in a box or some nice packaging. Took out from ziplock bag and inserted in a organza bag to be gifted tomorrow to someone that has worn this trend before it became trendy.
Body Serum: This really makes me happy I love this from my Popsugar box and am overjoyed to have another. I particularly love the on/off switch nozzle as it prevents my wee ones from converting it to an expensive scented spray gun.
Laundry Spray: Sprayed. Smells like a healthier version of Febreeze. I enjoy the label.
Oh Shoot I am glad I just scrolled up I forgot about the notepads!
Ok I have them in my paws now they are nice. I have been saving these notepads for my wee ones for when they achieve the “I want to scrawl jibberish on lined paper” acheivment but so far they prefer coloring books, blank pages, and walls, doors, and cabinets. Saving “It’s Everything” for their stash. Since using my cell or my iPad for checklisting has not been working (it works for shopping items and reminders oddly), I will give this a shot. If it doesn’t work out, I will just rip out the used pages and tell my wee ones not to rip pages from notebooks if they want to use them.
Maybe I should assist in writing reviews :/ no furbaby but I have a newborn less than 3 feet from me in a bouncer sleeping throughout this commentary so maybe I qualify?
