I see a favorite!

I’m always curious about what will appear in Faithbox. Sometimes I see a sneak peek on Faithbox’s Facebook page. I did not check it for the upcoming October box. My box arrived the last full week of September. The early delivery time allows you time to prepare for the upcoming month while finishing the current devotional.

Everyda Faith October 2015 Devotion
Everyday Faith October 2015 Devotion

The centerpiece of each Faithbox is the Devotional book. The theme for the month is labeled on the book. Information on the items in the box are included in the back along with informational pages about the product. Be sure to check the back pages especially if you like an item. Most times there will be a discount code included!

It's Not What You Think
It’s Not What You Think

It’s Not What You Think: Why Christianity is About So Much More Than Going to Heaven When You Die by Jefferson Bethke: We stopped at our local Christian bookstore this week because my older son wanted to pick up the newest Andy Mineo CD. I checked around the store to see how Jefferson Bethke’s book was displayed. I could not find it. Read a little further to find out why.

Faithbox’s Description of Jefferson Bethke’s book

The book is a pre-release! That’s right!!! Faithbox has given us a pre-released book to read this month. The book is scheduled to release on October 13, 2015. Faithbox has been providing a great balance between new and classic books. I think People Over Profit by Dale Partridge that came in my very first Faithbox might have been a pre-released. Otherwise, it was a newly released book.

I’m impressed it is a pre-released book!

A candle!
A candle!

Claro Candle Faithbox Limited Edition Candle: There’s something about the fall that makes me want to burn candles more often. Claro means ‘bring light to darkness.” What a beautiful name for a candle company that is bringing light to social justice. The 100% soy candle is made in Tacoma, WA, USA. Each candle type helps a different cause. For example, the Earth Candle comes in two scents, a variety of sizes, and plants a tree in an area encroached on by deforestation.  I am leaning towards purchasing the Earth candle because the scents are eucalyptus-mint and creamy pine. I also love the great outdoors!

Edited to add: Jefferson Bethke is co-owner of Claro Candles!

I need candles that are not light and airy!

SW Baasic Lip Balm
SW Basic Cocoa Lip Balm

SW Basic Cocoa Lip Balm:  Brooklyn has the best products! I was first introduced to the lip balm in the September 2014 Bare Bliss box. It has an amazing real chocolate, not fake, scent. There are only 3 ingredients one of which is cocoa butter. I loved the lip balm so much that I purchased the tin for my sister.

Chocolate and lip balm? Yay!

The SW Basic Family
The SW Basic Family

The lip balm has joined the SW Basic Family. I received the cream and the exfoliate in the September 2015 Goodebox. SW Basic supports small farmers!

Welcome home my delicious smelling lip balm!

Kutoa Chocolate Espresso Bean Bar
Kutoa Chocolate Espresso Bean Bar

Kutoa Chocolate Espresso Bean Bar: Kutoa is not fooling around when it comes to giving. They have four programs set up to feed children in local communities and around the world.  Joey Grassia, the founder of Kutoa, experienced two life-changing events. He personally saw the effects of malnutrition in children living in Asia. He also experienced a health crisis. It’s impressive that he took these life changing events and moved forward to create an impact on the lives around him and across the world.

My sister can’t wait to try the bar. I pass on all my gluten-free goodies to her.

No one ate the food before pictures!

Verdict:Faithbox put together a great box each month. I look forward to reading my devotional and book. The lip balm and candle are items that I am already enjoying. My sister will love the treat. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy amazing products that help change other lives for the better while still maintaining and growing in my spiritual life.

I just wanted to let you know that I LOVE your blog! I have spent two solid days reading every post and comment. Y’all keep everything fun and light. I love your pictures too. I don’t have any cats (allergic), but I do have 4 miniature weenie dogs named Wendell, Willie, Waylon and Winnie. And a yellow lab named Delbert. We call them Delbie and the W’s. (I’m from TX, so it’s pronounced Delbie and the dubyas). I have about 25 subscriptions, including some like Mystery a Tackle Box and Redline T-Shirts (vintage drag racing t-shirts). Aaaaand….I just added 3 months of the Faith Box! So, thanks!!

Another great post. And really really awesome you open this box as a family event! I love that it included a candle. That lip balm is good ask my eldest wee one. I received it via Birchbox and thought it would be all awesome as her first lipbalm tasting like chocolate so I gave it to her and told her to put it in her pouch (the Nina Garcia shark pouch from last summer’s Randomly box). So I come to it later and it is all nommed up. It appears every now and then and laugh when I see it!
