There are no issues this month! Everything is good again in the Goodebox universe.

SW Basics Cream
SW Basics Cream

SW Basics Cream:  What is it about minis that make them so adorable? I love the slogan, “When it comes to dry skin, this bad boy don’t play.”

Melting into skin
Melting into skin

I can smell the shea butter when I placed it on my skin. You can see at the bottom of the cream where it is already melting into my skin.

Three pronounceable ingredients. What more do you need?

SW Basics Exfoliant
SW Basics Exfoliate

SW Basics Exfoliant: I remember being upset with a different subscription box that I did not receive a SW Basic product. Now I received 2 in the same box. I feel special. The two SW Basic items are the September spoilers.

A closer look
A closer look

SW Basics recommends leaving this on your face for 1-5 minutes. I’ve learned from using similar items that it is best to start closer to one minute if you have sensitive skin. I benefit from the product without irritating my skin. All SW Basic products are made by “real people in the USA”.

Brooklyn is home to amazing companies. Baggu is another company from Brooklyn.

Seaweed Shampoo and Conditioner
Seaweed Shampoo and Conditioner

Note the difference in size. Why not reverse the sizes? I need a larger conditioner and a smaller shampoo.

The Deaweed Company Citrus Shampoo
The Seaweed Company Citrus Shampoo

The Seaweed Bath Co. Smoothing Argan Shampoo in Citrus:   I wonder what made people decide that seaweed should be in a beauty product. The seaweed is from Maine. I’ve used their sample sizes before and find the bottle to be frustrating. The bottle is too hard to squeeze the product out. The shampoo isn’t that bad, but the conditioner is thick and doesn’t want to leave the bottle.

The Seaweed Company Citrus Conditioner

The Seaweed Bath Co. Smoothing Argan Conditioner Citrus: The Citrus scent is mild. Most of the conditioner decided to stay in the bottle.  Next time, I will use a mini makeup spatula to remove the product.

Now we know the secret to having gorgeous mermaid-like hair.

Treat Sherbet Lip Scrub

Treat Sherbet Lip Scrub: This is a very simple product to use. Rub it on your lips and lick or wipe it off. I did not open it yet because I may give it someone.

It’s designed for those that want to eat their beauty products.

A coupon for $5.00 off a $15.00 purchase at Target was included in the box. Target offers great organic/natural brands for an affordable price. I’m happy to see this coupon included.

Verdict: I enjoy my Goodeboxes and the September box is no exception. I found this month to be a well rounded box for me.

I like the lip scrub you are totally right on with the slogan “for people who like to eat their beauty products”.

Have you heard of Honest Toddler? Well HT posted a picture of a EOS lip balm with the header going along of the lines of “best meal I have had in awhile”. Well then parents started posting their own partially eaten EOS balms and being in relief that they were not the only one.

I am not a fan of EOS but I let me wee ones use 100% natural lip balms that come from sub boxes. However, like most good things, if I look away for one second wee fingers or teeth nom that balm like its forbidden chocolate :p

I have not heard of Honest Toddler. I would have loved it when J was younger! He was a handful in his toddler years. He has his own lip balm that came in Kloverbox last year 🙂

    Good box! (Pun intended)
I love to use deep conditioners every 2-3 washes so I actually go through shampoo faster than conditioner if I get a matching set at the same time. But otherwise yes, I need more conditioner.

Am I the only one that thought the SW Basics products were/looked like food (condiments)?

If you can’t get the conditioner out, perhaps put in a few drops of water to thin out the formula? I mix my conditioner with water in my hands before I put it in my hair. Besides, hair is wet anyway when we use conditioner, so I don’t think it would hurt the formula.

LOVE Honest Toddler. I’m lucky (unlucky?) that my toddler is the pickiest eater ever, so he won’t eat anything that isn’t food. He won’t eat food either, so there’s that.

You’re right! They do look like food condiments. Thank you for the conditioner idea. I will try it if the mini spatula does not work.
