Herbal Bliss – August 2015 Review

Disclosure: This box was paid for by me. There are no affiliate links in this post.

I love gardening, herbs, and the great outdoors. I read about Herbal Bliss and knew it was a box that I had to try. This will be my fifth month with them.

Subscription: Herbal Bliss

Cost: $25.00/month, $66.00/3 months, $120.00/6 months, $216.00/12 months

What to Expect: Five unique herbal samples

Herbal Bliss received a late delivery and had to ship the boxes late. The owner said she would throw in an extra goody for us. I wonder what they will be! I should clarify that my box shipped on 8/28 and arrived on 8/31. I need to review faster!

Zelda, Puss in Boots, and Little Lamb
Zelda, Puss in Boots, and Little Lamb

What do the neighbors think? Notice how Puss in Boots is flushed against the door. He refused to move as I opened and closed the door. Why should he when the door clears his head. One of this kitties decided to help me with the photo shoot.

It's Little Lamb
It’s Little Lamb

Little Lamb decided to come over and assist me. He helped me the entire time.

Yes, the owner did deliver on the extra goody! I count six items.

Blue Lotus Chai
Blue Lotus Chai

Blue Lotus Chai Tea: 17 cups of tea will last me awhile. 10% of their net profits is donated to charity.  The tea origin is India. I’m always interested in how companies are founded. The wife founded the company, and later her husband joined the company full-time. The company is located in Oregon.

This tea is the most easy-going tea I ever met.

Dr. Singha's Mustard Bath
Dr. Singha’s Mustard Bath

Dr. Singha’s Mustard Bath: I can’t believe I never heard of this product before. It’s everywhere; even Wal Mart Online sells it. I will be trying this on a difficult day. It is recommended for muscle and joint soreness, skin conditions, sleeplessness, and stress/tension. The directions are precise. A 20-minute hot bath followed by a cold shower, dry with a rough (not soft) towel, rest and keep warm. It can also be used in a foot bath for those that do not take baths. The idea is that it helps the skin release impurities. I hope it works and becomes part of my arsenal against osteoarthritis.

Maybe I will become She-Ra!

Need new feet
Need new feet?

Bette K’s New Feet: Why is that I think of Subscriptionista when I see the word feet? The odorless cream softens feet.

I will use it to maintain my succulent feet.

How can you resist a company with good self-esteem?

Vita-Myr Herbal Toothpaste
Vita-Myr Herbal Toothpaste

Vita-Myr Herbal Toothpaste: The made-in-the-USA toothpaste has a clove scent. I have a hard time trying anything new on my teeth. I will do my best to try the toothpaste.

I’m afraid of a little 1 oz toothpaste.

Super Salve Stick
Super Salve Stick

Super Salve Stick It’s another product infused with love! Angel Botanicals is the first product I received containing love. The salve was first created for Grand Canyon river runners and hikers. It’s interesting to smell because I can smell two separate scents, not a blend of scents. I am picking up the lavender and tea tree oil. Lemon is also in the stick. The antioxidant stick is a great first aid stick that soothes and heals abrasions, bites, and more. It will be put to use. The Super Salve Stick is made in the Land of Enchantment – New Mexico, USA.

One day I will see the western part of the United States.

Onto the extra…

A Littlle Lamb Tail

Little Lamb was content purring and rubbing against my legs until I brought out the extra.

It caught his attention.

I had to keep removing him from J’s picnic table in order to take photos. What captured his attention?

Moon Organics
Moon Valley Organics

Moon Valley Organics Moon Melt Lotion Bar: I’m impressed that this is the extra the owner sent to make up for late shipping. How many times have we received a late package? I have many times.

I had box envy over a new quarterly (not to be confused with Randomly) box that featured Moon Valley Organic products. I’m excited to see this in my box.

Beautiful tin
Beautiful tin

Moon Valley Organics made a 4-minute clip about their company. It’s a husband and wife team that worked together in making their dream a reality. It takes a lot of work to reach that point and also to be certified organic. My goal for my part of the farm is to reach a similar point someday with the herb growing and value-added products.

Beautiful lotion
Beautiful lotion

The lotion smells amazing!  It reminds me of a lemon sugar cookie. The Lemon Vanilla melt bar is made with care in Washington State, USA. Inhale the scent as the bar warms up in your hand. Then melt a piece of it into your skin. I tried it, and it does melt easily.

Who knew Little Lamb had a sweet tooth?

Little Lamb is looking for the lotion bar.

Little Lamb loves the bar too.

Where is it?

He followed me into the house and kept looking for the bar. It’s hidden from him.

Verdict: I am always excited to see my Herbal Bliss Box because it introduces me to great products. The owner is friendly and responsive. I appreciate that she included a wonderful extra to make up for the late shipment.

Little Lamb is quickly winning me over. I love your working dog a ton but Little Lamb seems to be on board with the blog and that is a kitty I can get behind!!!!

Love this review. Love that you are keeping up your succulent feet. I would feel out of sorts if you did not. Yeah, it is a lot to responsibility to put on you, but the world needs succulent feet!

      He’s a loverboy. I can’t believe I wasn’t able to adopt him out.

Yesterday was the last warm day of fall. I was working outside among the sweat bees. The sweat bees leave me alone on the farm. They did not leave me alone at my main residence! I saw this morning that I had what I thought was a bug bite that was mildy irritating. Tonight my arm started to burn, and the stung area was swollen. I used the Super Salve on it.

The swelling is gone, and my arm is back to normal a half hour late. I have this on my to buy list when I run out. I am sold on it.

It works because it’s made with love! <3

Great follow up – I really enjoy hearing how people use their sub products and which ones they like or that work well for them!

Saturday I experienced a lot of discomfort in my hip. It was a cold, wet day. I had to go out and was dreading it because the OA pain in my hip was unbearable. I rubbed it on my hip and felt relief. It’s not gone completely, but I feel much, much better. Rubbing once a day seems to work for me. This is my own personal experience that may or may not work for others.
