We are going deep and personal this time. You’ve been warned! I thought a couple of nights ago that I would write a bunch of blog posts and be ahead. Instead, I spent my time discussing with my 16-year-old son how we should not let others dictate how we see ourselves. Little did I know that the next day I would receive this box.
Sometimes adult life isn’t much different than high school life.
I offered my 16-year-old son this poster. The world can be cruel sometimes. It’s hard to feel value when you are not the same as others.
It can be hard to ignore the hurt words can cause and feel valued.
I found great comfort in this Scripture when I was a single mom raising a little boy. Not all people value single moms or fatherless boys.
Loved + Blessed selected a great gift of encouragement this month. The symbolism is meaningful to me.
There isn’t much commentary this time. I shed a few tears writing the post. Having the conversation with my older son and then seeing the box the next day invoked a strong reaction.

I was able to take a side view photo today without shadows.
Verdict: Loved + Blessed is one of my favorite subscriptions. I find that their themes are timely. Thank you for reading and allowing me to share this with you.

You are so welcome.
What a lovely review! Thanks for sharing that with us. The shallower side of my brain is off now to find an adorable sparrow keychains/holder thingamabob.
Ronnie, thank you for reading and commenting!
Tell your son he is not fatherless; he has the most perfect father in the world, Jesus Christ, father to all of us.
Cindy, thank you. I’ve been blessed. I married several years ago, and my husband raises him as though he is his own son.
He’s 16 now and wants to be a pastor. I knew he wanted to attend a Christian College and now shifting gears slightly because he will be attending seminary after college.
That’s wonderful! Good luck to him and you.
