My heart belongs to New England. I look forward to my New England Sack each month as a reminder of New England. The September sack is my tenth sack. There was no August review because members of my household ate the food!!! No eating before pictures!!

A Farewell Note
A Farewell Note

I picked up the box today from my stoop and knew that this is the last box. Sadly I saw this card when I opened up my box.

The Last Box
The Last Box

Buying this box was about connecting back to my childhood memories. I miss New England.

I'm happy to see this again.
I’m happy to see this again.

It was never a high-valued box, but it was a highly anticipated box in my household.

The kids love this
A tomato plant that is still alive! It’s a Matt Wild Cherry.

The family loved this dip. Another favorite in our household.

Zelda was helping out as usual.

Blueberry Bush

The tea light smells wonderful!

Little Lamb is still searching for the lotion bar.

I’ll be making pancakes tomorrow. The family has always enjoyed the  food in New England Sack,

+++++++++++

I want to share my favorite New England Sack box. It’s from April 2015.

April 2015
April 2015

I posted my April 2015 box on a forum. I remembered it was a day where everything went wrong. This box was what I needed that day. The theme was Maine.

Socks!
Socks!

Socks are rarely in subscription boxes. I love the colors and the flowers.

I never have enough blueberries to make jam! Another big hit with the family.

I did not take a picture of the salt in April. There’s still a little bit left.

Best part of the box.
Best part of the box.

Here’s what makes New England Sack a favorite box for me. I haven’t said or heard the word “wicked” in years. Everything used to be “wicked good” up in New England.  Johnny’s Seeds is one of the seed suppliers that I use for the farm.  I talk to the one rep (Kristen?)  every year at the PASA conference.  PASA means Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agricultural.  We planted the seeds.  April was a great box!

Verdcit: I understand why they made the decision to discontinue the subscription. Warm wishes and pixie dust to the family. Farewell, New England Sack. You’ll be missed.

What a great, maudlin review, Sub Bella. If your family likes pancakes & waffles, I recommend Kodiak Cakes Flapjack and Waffle Mix . They are definitely on my HG list! Really easy to make (just add water) + healthy ingredients = SDBear Favorite.

Lovely post. I know I am into value in sub boxes, however, something like this (and also Subista’s jewelry sub box) is sentimental and you can not hold a value point when something gives you enourmous joy and sentimentally.
Also with the food subs for the most part it will cost you multiple shipping fees unless you buy in bulk then their may be value. For example (bringing my love of Amazon), I buy Hurricane Popcorn in bulk their because it is more economical then buying from another online store where it is priced higher and the shipping from Hawaii usually is not free.

Well this box was awesome! I am sad that I never got a chance to try it. It looks so yummy and the curation has always been excellent. This was a great review and as always I love all the pics!
