Artistry Gift Monthly Subscription Box Review + Coupon – October 2015

Disclosure I received this box at a discounted price. There are affiliate links in this post.

I have been admiring reviews written about the Artistry Gifts Wrap Subscription for over a year. Artistry Gifts started a monthly themed lifestyle box in March 2015. I’ve been following the reviews and treated myself to a 3-month subscription on Mother’s Day with a discount code. I subsequently followed up with adding the bimonthly gift wrap to it for the term of that subscription. I renewed my monthly themed subscription with another discount code. The September theme is “Pretty as a Picture.”

Subscription: Artistry Gift Monthly Theme Box

Cost: $49.99 monthly, $59.99 monthly with gift wrap add-on. Gift wrap items are based on a preference survey. Click here to view the gift wrap preference survey.

What to Expect: 4-5 giftable items such as candles, spa items home, jewelry, snacks, stationary. The items are curated around a theme. An email is sent out that allows you to select an item.

Coupon: OCTOBER10 for 10% off your purchase. The coupon expires 10/31/15

Artistry Gifts offers a choice each month. October choices are:

October’s theme is ‘Sweet Treats”. We had a choice between the chocolate peppermint box or the pumpkin harvest box. It was a hard choice for my family especially with a pumpkin-loving teenager whose cross-country season is coming to an end. He has a three-week break where he can indulge in treats. Then it is back to being serious for cross-country. Everyone was happy with the choices in the end!

Chocolate Mint Box
Chocolate Mint Box

I received my box on October 21st and planned to have my review up much earlier. The plant in the background is a young blueberry plant. The pumpkins are from the calf-licking, pumpkin picking field trip. The grain-like plants are foxtail. It’s a pretty fall scene.

We have returned to our regular weather of rain and gloom.

Stonewall Peppermint Hot Chocolate
Stonewall Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Stonewall Peppermint Hot Chocolate: Yummy! The hot chocolate ha cocoa, coffee, sea salt, and of course peppermint in it.  I opened up the lid and can smell peppermint and cocoa. I’ll be making hot chocolate later today. Stonewall Kitchen is made in Maine, USA. The expiration date is September 17, 2016.

I’m ready for the holiday season!

B. Witching Bath Co. Marshmallow Cocoa Shea Butter Body Lotion
B. Witching Bath Co. Marshmallow Cocoa Shea Butter Body Lotion

B Witching Bath Co. Marshmallow Cocoa Shea Butter Body Lotion: Here’s the marshmallows to go with the hot chocolate! B. Witching Bath Co. may sound familiar to you because it is a spoiler for the Artistry Gifts Scent of the Season November Special Edition Box. The made in the USA lotion has a great cocoa scent and absorbs quickly into the skin.

I can still smell the cocoa scent on my hand.

Foil Packets
Foil Packets

The foil packets are not listed on the information sheet. Send me all the foil packets as long as they are a bonus item. I thought it was a nice inclusion because it allows the subscribers to try out a couple other scents.

Zelda came rushing over when I was taking pictures of the foils. She decided to go in and eat her meal.

Should I feel insulted that she picked food over being in the review?

Stonewall Kitchen Chocolate Peppermint Cupcake Mix
Stonewall Kitchen Chocolate Peppermint Cupcake Mix

Stonewall Peppermint Hot Chocolate: The kit includes the mix, frosting, and peppermint candy. I thought about making the cupcakes for the post and then changeofseaonitis hit my house. Now it is Halloween week with Halloween and fall festival parties. The whole family wanted me to make them the night the package arrived. The cupcake mix makes 12 cupcakes. It is made in Maine, USA.  The expiration date is September 8, 2016.

Will my cupcakes look like the cupcakes on the box? Look for an In Real Life Post in a few weeks to find out?

Chocolate pumpkin
Stonewall Kitchen Milk Chocolate Pumpkin Spice Candy Bar

Stonewall Kitchen Milk Chocolate Pumpkin Spice Bar: I did not know Stonewall Kitchen makes candy bars. Melissa from Artistry Gifts made my older son’s day by including a pumpkin spice bar. My son already ate it and will only tell me, “It tasted really good, mom. Can we buy more?”.  The candy bar is described of being made with smooth Belgian milk chocolate with pumpkin, spice, and dried sweet potatoes.  I didn’t have a chance to sniff it. It is made in Maine, USA.

Another candy bar favorite to add to the list.

Stonewall Spatula
Stonewall Spatula

Stonewall Medium Red Spatula: Anyone enjoy baking? I love to bake whether it is from scratch or a mix. The first thing I noticed when I picked up the spatula that it has a nice weight to it. It’s dishwasher safe and doesn’t stain. The handle is made from hardwood. The head is made from food-safe silicone. It can tolerate heat up to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. It is made in China.

It’s red to match my cupcake decorations.

Verdict: Everyone looks forward to Artistry Gifts boxes. The items fit the Sweet Treats with a chocolate peppermint emphasis theme. We enjoyed the mix of items. My older son was ecstatic about the candy bar because he is on a 2 week break from sports. Everything will be used from this box.

I would be remiss if I did not address the value. I am aware that I can go to Homegoods etc. and buy Stonewall items at a discount if the items are available. I have also paid full price for Stonewall items, especially their pancake mix, that is my children’s favorite. It’s a chance that one takes with subscription boxes.

Artistry Gifts is tightly curated. The items make sense to the theme. There’s no old product in the box. I trust the subscription box and feel comfortable sending them as a gift.

Subscription Box Flashbox: As we approach closer to the holidays, I am going to try to remember to add a photo of an older subscription box and briefly talk about it. Heat7918 inspired me with her comment. I can’t remember it exactly, but it had to do with seeing subscription box items being used. Let me know if you find this helpful or interesting.

Artistry Gifts July Theme Box 'Seashells by the Seashore'
Artistry Gifts July Theme Box ‘Seashells by the Seashore’

Artistry Gifts July Theme Box: Be sure to click on the blue link to read the review. J loves the seashore and ended up using most of the box. He uses the dish towel as a hand towel or to wipe the soap out of his eyes during bath time. The card is on his headboard. One glass is J’s special drinking glass. The other glass has shells in it. He has been using his toothpicks to eat snacks, crafts, and even as swords during play. I removed the sand dollar from the key chain for him and displayed it on his headboard. The air freshener is up at the farm. I’ve been using the Inis perfume when the mood strikes me.

What do you think of the October’s Artistry Gift Theme Box?  What do you think of the subscription box flashback? Is it helpful? Share below and anything else on your mind.

So all these peppermint goodies inspired me to break out my peppermint hot chocolate and make a peppermint mocha latte. It was yum.

This is a great box for the whole family to enjoy!

Yes!! I love hearing what you’re actually using from past boxes, how you’re using them and how you like them – thank you!

Amazing, beautiful photography for your post as usual – love it! This box looks as tasty as one of Subscriptionista’s Orange Glad boxes!

          Thx!
I did some sparking joy cleaning and found spree squirreled instant coffee stash. Thank goodness I was done to my last canister of sipping chocolate. One of the instant coffees is a mocha go figure…
I need to have one of those angry cleanings that Honest Toddler talks about. Those are definitely work much faster than sparking joy cleanings…

Heat7918 – Thank you for the compliment. I only have a couple fall picture posts left. I’m racking my brain to think of what to do next with the pictures.

I realized that I haven’t received the themed email for November yet. I wonder if that means it will be a surprise?

I wish I was your neighbor because then I could try to get you to make me some of this stuff! So yummy!

I have a new neighbor! The people that watched me take pictures of my lingerie moved out because of a job transfer. It’s a woman around my age and her mom. They have been slowly moving on. Zelda and Little Lamb already made their acquaintance.
