What You’reGetting:

A mixture of 6 eggs and blind stuff that should make wee ones go bonkers over. Brands included are Shopkins, Disney Frozen toys, My Little Pony, Pixar toys, Despicable Me, Minions, Angry Birds, Transformers, whatever is popular in YouTubeKids and the Elusive Kinder Egg.

Sit Down and Get Comfortable:

When Sub Bella asked for boxes to review before I joined Subscriptionista, I asked her to review EggDrop. I also likely asked for a code since I could not find one. Subscriptionista was able to get an exclusive code for $3 or 15% off your first box (either one but not both because $3 is 15% and 15% is $3). If you are trigger happy and click the affiliate link here before your read anything else, please note that the upper left hand corner will state that the Subscriptionista code was applied.

Soooooo back to why I requested EggDrop. When YouTube came out with YouTube Kids, I thought what a great idea now any kid can watch pirated shows without fear of any questionable content not suitable for wee ones. My eldest Pnut People, “Pipsqueak”, watched, learned, and sang many of nursery song variations. Pipsqueak also watched too many blind bag/box/egg unboxings. YouTubeKids was basically a QVC for kids in disguise. Pipsqueak wanted a Kinder Egg. I told Pipsqueak we did not live in Europe where Kinder Eggs come from. Pipsqueak, like Liz Lemon, wanted “to go to there”. When Pipsqueak asked me where her YouTubeKids app went one day, I told her that the Amazon Prime Netflix-Like-App replaced it. Pipsqueak prefers Netflix as she should. Pnut and Pipsqueak loves WordWorld, Zig & Sharko, and Property Brothers on Netflix.

I digress again. EggDrop sometimes will have the exclusive Kinder Egg. I know this because on their Facebook page parents avoiding a trip to Europe are asking repeatedly. For me that is value because my beloved Amazon charges too much for this unicorn. Plus the reviews sucked.

Digression again…

Let’s get this box started!!!

First Item is…

LOL
LOL

Actual EggDrop: This opened when I took it out for its picture. I noted that there was a green playdoh in there. I plan to have Pipsqueak open this first and give it to her smaller sibling, her sidekick “Squeak”, who loves the color green and it will keep her busy from not nomming all these non-nomable under 3 goodies.

image

Pipsqueak’s reaction: wow it’s a playdoh!

Squeak’s reaction: happy squeaks

Not a nom

Second Item…

The Elusive Kinder Joy Egg The wishlist of any YouTubeKider

The wishlist of any YouTubeKider

Kinder Joy: I think Pipsqueak’s life is complete. She has received an Achievement: Kinder Joy (if you are a console geek you would get this). I hope she allows me to have a little taste. I want to see if the horrible reviews of Amazon parents lamenting the demise of YouTubeKids deem true.

imageimage

Pipsqueak’s reaction: YEA!!!!!

image

Pnut’s reaction: It was yummy but not yummy enough for US retail prices. I do not get the balls. They have nuts in them. I am going to stop now.

Achievement Earned: Kinder Joy

Third Item…

Banana? BANANA!!!
Banana?
BANANA!!!

Minion Blind Bag: Ohhh I love this. Pipsqueak loves watching Despicable Me on DVD she thinks it is the Minion movie. No worries we have the Minion movie on pre-order via Amazon. She is too wee to watch movies in real life. Trust me, we are testing her our by taking her to the movies in the tourist trap places that have features and such and she is so not ready for the big screen.

Pipsqueak’s reaction: BANANA?

Squeak’s reaction: BANANAAAA

image

Pipsqueak goes to Squeak and says BANANA? BANANAAAA and then Squeak says BANANAAAAA. It is a cuteshow.

Fourth Item…

Koolby & Friends

Koolby & Friends Blind Box: I know nothing about this but know Pipqueak will be please regardless.

Pipsqueak’s reaction: it’s a Halloween monster!

image

I have no words but Pipsqueak is not freaked out so I will just freak out silently.

Fifth Item…

Moshi Monsters

Moshi Monsters: I know nothing about this but know Pipqueak will be please regardless. Oh no there is an slit opening in the package perhaps during the packing process (good thing Pipsqueak did not notice)!

Pipsqueak’s reaction: Monster (something I forgot)

image

Oooohhh look at the whittle purse/elephant/watering can!

Sixth Item…

Hello Kitty

Hello Kitty Mashems

We love Hello Kitty in this house!

image

What Hello Kitty would look like X-Rayed

Seventh and Final Item…

A Mini Bubble Tube from Tarrgeee (Target)

Value: Priceless (it would have cost me $$$ to pick this up at my Target)
Value: Priceless (it would have cost me $$$ to pick this up at my Target)

Pipsqueak’s reaction: Bubbles!!!

Squeak’s reaction: Bubba! Bubba!

Value: Priceless (it would have cost me $$$ to pick this up at my Target)

Group Shot All Together Now!

Verdict: Great value saved me a trip to Europe and several “Pass Target and pay one hundred times the amount of that one item you went in for and ended up forgetting.”

Oh my God, is there a way to block those stupid surprise eggs/kinder eggs/unboxing videos from YouTubeKids? Because I hate those. Hate. And my two-year old loves them. No matter what video I start him on with on that app, he ends up watching these stupid videos. Make. It. Stop.

I am not sure how deep the rabbit hole your wee one is but there is a timer in the settings …. The egg unboxings didn’t bother me (ok you know I love mini things lol) it was more of those expensive toys that a kid would use for like 2 minutes that bothered me! I do miss the monkeys jumping on the bed song variations though and the baby chicks, kitties, babies and puppies videos. She does not use the iPad that much now her new thing is my cell and short of using it for GPS I am happy to give it to her since it is insured and the iPad isn’t 😉

My boyfriend’s nephew would watch those videos ALL the time when I first met him. I was so confused what the heck the egg surprise things were and how they even found them, and then my nieces started watching them! I may have to share this subscription with their parents so they have a fun gift lined up.

ps: McBoyfriend’s brother was quite disturbed to find that one of the egg surprise hosts did porn. Now I want to send her an egg surprise with balls! GlobeIn’s laundry balls, obviously.

pps: Now that I think about it, subscription box posts are just giant egg surprise boxes for adults!!! Whoaaa…..
