My older son loves to talk to me. It’s a good thing.. I think. Yesterday it was about how “I” allowed him to dress weirdly when he was younger. Now he is admired for his fashion sense mainly due to Bespoke and Birchbox.

White Oxford Shirt from Unbottoned
White Oxford Shirt from Unbuttoned

The young men at church loved his look on Sunday. He paired the White Oxford Shirt from “Unbuttoned” with a black t-shirt underneath. He wore khaki pants with the shirt at church. I feel as though I need to add a disclaimer. He launders his clothes. The white shirt would look brighter if he washed all his whites separately. I’m not going to complain because he washes his clothes!

The pocket is the most talk about feature.
The pocket is the most talk about feature.

The pop-of-color faux pocket is what makes the outfit according to his friends.  The shirt is holding up well considering my son washes it with jeans. Sigh. Unbutton is currently not available. It may be back early next year. I ordered this as my January 2015 selection for my husband. I also ordered it as a February  2015 selection for my teenager.

Both my husband and my teenaged son love Unbutton. Unbotton consisted of one button-down shirt and one t-shirt. One day last week they were both wearing their Unbutton t-shirts. I almost took a picture for the blog. They both want me to select Unbutton again if it becomes available.

Socks from Swagger
Socks from Swagger

I have a “no eating food until after picture”s rule. Apparently my son has a “you need to take pictures quickly” rule. Swagger’s my September selection. Swagger is all about socks, 6 pairs of socks specifically. Bespoke pre-selects 3 pairs of socks. The customer selects 3 pairs from a selection of six different types of socks.

I need to clean the corner! Washing the walls are schedule for the long, long winter. The socks are soft and are made well. Swagger is available. Please note that 3 of the selections are sold out meaning that you will not be able to select your socks. ! T says that his favorite part of this pair of socks is the top matches the toe and heel. I’m amazed that they are knitted in 240 seconds.

I don’t understand it, but socks are the teenage boy’s fashion accessory. Is this a local phenomenon or is it widespread?

I wanted to share T’s cross-country accomplishment. T is a 200 meter and 400 meter sprinter that is running cross-country to stay in shape. His goal this season is to be in the top 35 at the invitational this past Saturday. The top 35 receive medals. 15 schools participated with hundreds of runners running at the same time. He came in 31st! I’m proud of him. He is only one of two sprinters that is running on the cross-country team. He did an excellent job.

Congratulations to T on reaching his goal! (And I like his shirt too!)

Sub Bella, you sound like a great mom with great kids. Absolutely wonderful.

Thank you! He worked hard to reach his goal.

I’m blushing at the compliment. He’s an easy-going kid.

What an awesome accomplishment! And fashion sense to boot… One of my friend’s sons is totally into crazy, bright mismatched socks! So it’s definitely a thing here in southwest Ohio too- but that’s only 5 hours from you. 😉

This was awesome! Your son dresses better than I do!!! If I looked back on stuff I used to wear at his age… Yikes

There were no subscription boxes back then. I am sure you are quite fashionable in your Golden Tote and Sunshine Crate attire.

That was a great review and congrats on his accomplishment you are one happy momma! You need to share your secret to how to get your teenager to talk to you even though I have many years before that happens but if you blink then all in a sudden they get their driver’s license 😉

He loves to talk! I listen to it all. All the things that were important to him throughout the years. The things that he discusses may seem insignificant to me at times, but they are important to him. His thoughts and feelings matter even if I don’t see it the same way through the eyes of an adult. I know much more than I ever wanted to know about Superheroes, video games, and movie plots.I also know about the things he worries about it, his hopes, and dreams. I will put down my phone and stop texting or leave the computer to listen and talk.

I see many little kids that want to talk to their parents, but they are glued to their phone screen/tablets/laptops or don’t want to take the time. You can see the hurt on their face and eyes. You can see the spark and excitement leave their face as they shut down.

I don’t know if that the secret. It may be a part of it.

Congratulations to your son! Our son is a hurdler, runs the relays too. Nice shirt and socks, thank you.

Thank You! Yay! My son tried doing the hurdles. He couldn’t get his back foot over it correctly.

Great job T! And the pup is adorable.

The Mister has fallen in love with Bespoke Post. We got the weekender and have the Roast and Scarf set coming. I’m going to have to start intercepting the packages and hiding them for Christmas presents.

Great review! I’m shocked you got a teenage boy- and a runner at that- to stand still as long as you did! And to do his own laundry to boot! He must have a pretty great mom who taught him all of that, eh?

Thank you. Everyone is making me blush! I told him to pose if he wanted me to take him to Kohls. He had a list of items that he wanted to buy.

I need to find out if Subscriptionista placed a Bespoke order. I order Scarf too!
