Juneberry Subscription Review + Coupon – October 2015

Juneberry Box is a subscription that will call you a “Junebug” and you will be totally OK with it. They send out boxes every other month and include many full size items. It is a more lifestyle type of box but I doubt you will end up with tea towels… or will you? *shrug*

Cost: $28.50 CAD or lower depending on the subscription length.

Use coupon code: AF005XJBP for 5% off!

Juneberry Box

The theme this month is: Little Red Riding Hook With An Autumn Twist

Juneberry Box

Red Knit Headband: This is cute and I always love a headband. The red goes with the theme and will be fun to wear when visiting cooler places during the holidays. I will look forward to having something to keep my ears warm. I wonder if I can get anyone to believe I know how to snowboard while wearing this?

I can pop some clip on reindeer horns and move this from Autumn to Winter like THAT!

Daisy Kay – Artisan Soap Leaves:  These have a ton of fragrance and look really festive. Any one have any ideas how I can use these? I guess for personal use but I can see a guest being pretty confused as what they should do with the leaves. It would be funny if I also just put a bunch of leaves near the toilet like I used them for everything…

Her shop has some pretty amazing creations, I wonder if she could do a sculpture of my cat reading…

Juneberry Box

Essie – Nail Polish (Repstyle): The color is a little weird and it took me a second to realize that this is the magnetic type of nail polish that has a magnet on the top and allows you to use it to make designs. I doubt I will ever use it and will pass this on as a gift. I just am the worst already at painting my nails and I don’t see myself adding the extra step.

Lazy comes in all shapes and sizes!

Astray Pendant: This is cute and but not to my personal style. The inside looks like 3d plants which is pretty sweet. I am not sure what the materials are or who made this. I think I will gift it to someone who is more into the look than I am.

I read this as “Ashtray” and was like “What did they give me?!?”

Cookie Cutters: These are small and not worth the stated $6 value. They are just cookie cutters after all. I guess I can use these if I ever get off my big duff and bake cookies. They did include a cookie recipe but if I am making cookies they are going to be chocolate. I think it would have been super awesome if they included a wolf. Then my cookies would have the indie flair needed to draw attention from my store bought dough.

Don’t judge me, if you heat it up at home you made it!

Juneberry Box

Verdict: I am interested in what is to come but so far am glad there is not a ton of make up in the box. I might be a little meh on this month’s box but the headband really did make it all worth it because it does look super festive. I am also glad that it was not heavy on cosmetics. I can’t wait to see what the next box will bring!

Disclosure: The coupon is a referral code and I paid for this box!

That is the fanciest leaf soap I have ever seen. Definitely leave it by the toilet instant conversation/rumor starter lol.

Can you save that magnetic nail polish if it has no one’s name on it already? I always wanted to try one but thought it was gimmicky and I googled “magnetic nail polish fail” so I think I can do this. We are closing this lucky Friday. Your box should be mailed to you by end of December if not sooner I have not packed anything yet except laundry. I wonder whether I am saving $1 to wash and a $1 to dry if water is included in assessments but electricity is not? I am happy that a washer and dryer is in the unit I fantasize about the washer being the hamper. I digress…

You can use the cookie cutters to make pancakes, cut sandwiches, cold cuts, cheeses you will be the coolest auntie ever.

The red headband would be great for snowboarding/skiing it is always nice when you can pinpoint your friends from the comfort of sipping chocolate in the lodge (this is what I would actually do).

I am sure Juneberry gets this a lot because when I first saw this post I was thinking jamberry nail thinges and I was like we are not all fancy/coordinated at Subscriptionista with our nails :p *sighs* I have been needing to do a mani my Pnut people are lucky with their glitter mani/pedis with pixie dust (glitter loose eyeshadow from sub boxes) … they do not think they are lucky now though lol.

Yes you can have the nail polish!!! I did get some cat hair on the label… sorry… but I had to take the top off to see if it was magnetic ….

I hate the snow in a lot of ways, but I can always chill in a lodge!!! lol

Talk about needing to do nails, I REALLY need to do mine. I never do because I am so lazy.

Thanks! I will take the cat hair as her royal furbaby’s approval of bestowsance of said magnetic nail polish to me. Don’t put any stuff in the box that has been through a lint roller now remember I do not have any furbabies and anyone at Subscriptionista needs to send their boxes with complimentary cat hair in them.

Ohh, I like the necklace. It’s just like the Darby Smart bracelet you made with resin and the flowers =) One of my favorite Etsy artists makes these amazing tiny globe pendants with dandelion seeds and gold leaf. Tragically, they are almost $100.

I bought that same exact nail polish a couple of years ago and have used it perhaps twice. You have to paint, then precariously hover the magnet for a while, and try not to smash the wand into your fingernail or dump the open bottle everywheres. Pnut, I also bought Jamberry wraps perhaps three years ago and never used them because: I have to used a blowdryer? Too much work. I can barely blowdry my own hair once a month.

Subista, I really hope you do sprinkle the leaves around your toilet. Seems like it might be a bit of a mess if they got wet though! You can claim it’s post modern art.

I love a headband to keep my ears warm when it’s below 60° in LA. Thank you Subista for delightful review.
