SB’s Birchbox Order Unboxing and Sample Pack – November 2015

I received my order today from the Birchbox Black Friday Sale. My points paid for half the order. I go through my points quickly because T loves their cleanser and a few other products. It’s better than smelling Axe products.

 

The holiday box is festive looking!

 

My order was small.

Yarok Feed Your Shine Hair Serum: What my hair wants, my hair gets. It loves the hair serum. I use four pumps for my hair which is more than the recommended 1-2 drops. I view it as YMMV – your miles may vary.

Illume Soy Candle – Noble Currant: The scent is a rosey fruity blend. I have wondered why some candles are labeled as soy and some are labeled as 100% soy. I now know why. This candle is a soy blend of vegetable, soy, and paraffin wax blend with a cotton wick. It has a 25 hour burn time. I am giving this to my sister because I do not like the floral notes. I did light it for the photo because the tin cover has marks in it rendering it useless for gift-giving. The candle is no longer available from Birchbox.

Chuao Chocolatier Taste the Joy Chocopod: The chocolates are listed on Birchbox as being sold out. They are the reason I placed my order at 2 am instead of waiting in the morning. Thank you, Brandy from Hello Subscription, for having the Ace sale up at 1 am EST. I got a jumpstart on my ordering.

I received one chocolate last year in my monthly Birchbox.  I placed an order for the sampler box. The family loved it and reminded me this year to order them again. The family already ate 4 mini candy bars for dessert tonight. The boys had the Popcorn, I ate the Honeycrisp, and my husband had the Firecracker.

The family was full of joy tasting the joy.

ClariSEA Rapid Detox Charcoal Exfoliant – Face: It is gluten-free and works great on blackheads. I am going to give it to my sister. She will love it. It’s a great size sample – a full ounce.

 

Dvines Minu Hair Conditioner and Serum: The Davine Minu product line is color-safe. It doesn’t irritate my face either. I received them in the past in my September Birchbox. I am satisfied with them being in my sample pack.

Now if only  Birchbox sent the foils as one-ounce bottles! It would be an amazing sample pack.

 

Verdict: I am happy with my order except for the candle scent. I should have checked closer into the scent notes. Everything else is great. I am pleased with my sample pack. I will use the Divines foils. My sister will be happy with the exfoliant. She loves anything that is detoxifying.  I am very glad that I ordered two chocopods. I hope they restock them!
