Yogi Surprise Jewelry Box Review – November 2015

Disclosure: This box was paid for by me. The first link contains my referral link, but I would have to collect three subscribers before I can cash in on a free box.

Subscription: Yogi Surprise Jewelry Box

Cost: $22.49/month [discounted right now], usually $24.99 but they offer lots of codes

What to Expect: 2 handmade yoga-inspired jewelry piece, +1 superfood or organic chocolate treat, $65+ retail value in every box

Ah, this brings me back… to a month ago when I wrote my first review on here! Oddly enough, I have still not turned into a yogi. Also, totally forgot to cancel this box after getting the labradorite I joined for last month, so here we are in November with some mala and 0 yoga poses done on my dusty, rolled up Pilates mat.

I love the box design! It makes me want to go doodle up some cool mail art.

Sidenote: These were some of my favorite envelopes I’ve done! This is the closest to meditation I can do.

This info cards are nice, and I really like that the values aren’t on the cards. Mostly because I do not at all agree with the pricing.

Nicobella Organics Coco-nut Munch: $5.95 for a 2 oz bag

These nuts made me laugh so much because earlier this week I read a review of a romance book called Nuts. They sound interesting, but I did not try them. Also, poke around on the Nicobella site! Their chocolates and truffles sound heavenly, especially the Cinnamon Turmeric Spice Truffles!

I wonder if Daria sold these?

Rosewood and Moonstone Bracelet and Mala: These are lovely pieces, but as I mentioned, I forgot to cancel. I don’t actually know what a mala is for, so I’ve put the box up for swap [and will hopefully be getting a sun hat for my mom in exchange!].

Part of the reason why I don’t agree with the pricing has to do with the presentation of the items. The jewelry comes in a cheap, crinkly plastic baggie placed inside a nice little canvas? bag [not as bad as the short-lived Sun Chip bags!!]. Pulling out the plastic just makes it feel like I went to the dollar store and grabbed some sparklies. While I know that is not the case, and Yogi Surprise’s website does have videos on where they source items from, I still wish they wouldn’t send the items in plastic.

Verdict: This box was not for me, but I love the box design and that it’s based in Oregon [because it gets here in like two days]. The nuts sound awesome, and I probably should’ve just eaten them and swapped for just the jewelry! I don’t meditate, and breathing deeply makes me very light headed, so I decided to cancel and walk away in a non-exercise related sort of saunter.

Oh, and by the way, I sent a cancel please email on Saturday afternoon and received a response that night! Very friendly and impressive customer service!

I love your reviews! They should just like, put chocolate in everything ….

Thanks, and likewise!! I can’t think of a box where chocolate would not be welcome… there are so many varieties and styles that I bet even paleos could snarf some cacao bits and sugar free dieters could have some chocolate scratch-n-sniff stickers.
