Beauty DNA Subscription Review – December 2015

Beauty DNA – the subscription I cannot seem to shake – offers the most customization of any beauty subscription you can possibly sign up for. I mean this in every sense of the word. When you sign up you will be given what can only be called a midterm exam full of questions about what you like, what you want, what you don’t want, and all the ingredients that you will accept and not accept.

I remember when I first came across this subscription. About halfway through the questions I KNEW this subscription would be better for Sub Bella. I am pretty easy going when it comes to ingredients and I am only now starting to understand how many weird things I have been slathering on my skin in the name of beauty.

I ended up getting a month or two of the subscription but decided to give the rest of my months over to Sub Bella because as I said before, she could actually make good use of such a subscription. Then my sister saw a sale on it, and signed me up as a surprise. So… I will give it go, and if I feel like it is not getting good use then poor Sub Bella will have to take it over yet again…

If customization is important to you, if you can’t just slap on whatever you are sent then you pretty much HAVE to try out this subscription. It is for you. It is impossible NOT to be.

Cost: $25 a month/free shipping

Elysee Scientific Cosmetics – YouthSpan Facial Resurrection Serum: I am all about anything that will help my skin from looking older! This is a light serum that is supposed to help promote facial volume without you having to raise your voice. Moisture is the name of the game when it comes to this product but it is also light enough that you can use it under foundation. I will let you know if I get carded!

“Resurrection Serum” sounds like something that could bring the dead back to life when applied…

Verdict: I am happy with what Beauty DNA sent me this month. My skin is dry and I am worried about aging. Time marches on even if I don’t want it to, so anything that will help make things a little better is always welcome at my doorstep!

Will you do a review of this after you have used it awhile? This sounds like something I would love!

I got it and didn’t love it. I have very dry and prematurely wrinkly skin so this sounded perfect for me. I’m down to the last dregs of the bottle now and it didn’t really do anything for me, either immediately or over the 2 months I’ve been using it. Hopefully it will work better for others!

The best things for wrinkles are topical retinol or topical vitamin C- specifically things like Skinceuticals C E Ferulic serum. L-Ascorbic Acid form of vitamin C can be quite unstable to heat and sunlight (but some formulations are better than others), which is why it hasn’t been as popular as retinol, but it actually is better at healing photoaging/damage and encouraging the skin to make collagen.

I use retin A (generic) and have been told by a zillion drs how effective it is. So I agree! C is difficult to get good stuff but I would put just about anything on my face to keep it from aging!

Thanks for your input! I have dry skin too so it helps me a lot!

I will. I think the best treatments are Retin A (really if you don’t use it go get it from your dr it is rx but you can get the generic super cheap) and botox (get on that train as well if you have 11’s) I do both now lol

Maybe Resurrection Serum could save the world from the zombie apocalypse! I’ll send an email to the writers of The Walking Dead and suggest the cure as a cool storyline idea. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you receive royalties if they use it. 😉

We could be a writing duo team. We can do a reboot season that takes place inside Sephora!

I think the only thing that anti-aging stuff does is make me stare in the mirror at my wrinkles more!!

I hate when I am doing something and I catch a glimpse of my wrinkles. It bums me out big time
