FabFitFun Subscription Box Review – Winter 2015

Disclosure: This box was paid for by me. There is a referral link where I get $15 and you get $10 off.

Subscription: FabFitFun

Cost: $49.99, quarterly

What to Expect: Full-size, premium products delivered 4x per year.

FabFitFun is usually a hit or miss with me, and I’m going to tell you now, this one was a winner!!! The Fall box was decent [girl I lost that thigh band thing rurrrl quick], but this one I’ll use almost everything. If you want to save $10 off your box and send your favorite dragon scale fingernailed blogger $15, use my referral link and I will smile at you from le internets!

The video moves and gets darker halfway through because Bella decided she had to use the scratching post that I strapped my phone to =)

Preview of the products! I can never decide if the full box pics should go at the beginning or end–what do you prefer? I decopaged and redid the interior of this old suitcase when I was in college and decided it would make a nice backdrop.

shoptiquesdec15

Shoptiques gift card: $25. This box was sooo fancy and then it had a giftcard, hah. I have sort of glanced at the site but haven’t found anything yet.

Anyone want to re-enact Pretty Woman with a giftcard that one can use to buy their own fancy necklace?

dermalogicadec15

Dermalogica Skincare Kit: $45. I’m not into multi-step facial care. I wash my face at night with foaming makeup remover and put on some night cream and call it good.

Don’t make me change!!

diffuserdec15

Diffuser in Pomegranate: $37, available in a variety of scents. I got the scent I wanted!

diffuserbathroomdec15

This went right into what I call the “boy bathroom”, which connects the TV room and bar to the garage, and is cold and always has the seat up =\ It also is the only room in the house that we cannot get the cigarette stench out from previous owners and a room that is shut off from Bella’s curious paws. So, seemed like the perfect place to freshen up with an easily-tippable bottle of oil!

zoyadakotadec15

Zoya Nailpolish in Dakota: $9.

My favorite color and half of the name of my favorite state to be born in, but I’ve just got way too much polish to consider keeping more!

glovesdec15

Fingerless Gloves by Whitney Eve and FFF: $28, variety of colors.

These really sold me on the box. I think without this I would’ve canceled after the Fall box. I will have to secure the threads sticking out though, because I like to pick at things.

Now I can sit in my office and look like a classy hobo with a space heater on my ice cold toes, fingerless gloves, and 90 cups of tea!

juaradec15

Juara Candlenut Body Creme: $35. Giant body butter tub… I had to open it and sniff it, and the scent is a bit overwhelming for me, but smells nice and nutty. Like cocoabutter and hazelnut or something. I’m sending it to my mom because I have copious amounts of lotion, and I think this one will give me a headache. It does feel really nice though!

No way I would pay that sticker price for a more succulent epidermis. But, seems like a good product and my mom’s epidermis will appreciate the relief from the dry, midwestern winter air.

headphonesdec15

FRENDS the Donna Headphones in white: $80, available in various colors.

I wasn’t sold on this box when I saw this spoiler, but once I got them and put them in I was super impressed! I can never get headphones to stay in my ears! I put these in and hopped around a bunch, bent over, and did some twirls and those earplugs stayed put. They are my new lovies. Plus, I can have phone conversations with these.

Secret phone conversations. It’s none of your business!

Oh! And I was looking on the FRENDS website and they’re doing a discount on their really really fabulous headphones.

If I wanted to look supes kewl I would buy some. But I’m supes dork, so I’ll just keep listening to this conch shell while my cat stares at me like a creeping creeper from Creepville in the hallway…

winecorkdec15

Wine Stopper and Charm Set from FFF: $15.

This was a neat inclusion! Perfect for holiday drinking. But, we’re classy and have stemless wine glasses [as you can see by the little dudes trying not to die in my wine-a-rita], so this will be gifted.

I still think it’s something naughty every time it catches the corner of my eye… Shhh…

Extras:

Sweet and Spark giftcards: $40 off. I got two of these, and I’ve gotten one before and couldn’t afford the stuff on their site, but their items are lovely.

HelloFresh gift card: Three free meals. I just redeemed a $40 off HelloFresh giftcard I got from this box or PSMH over the summer, so I gave it to my roomie. My review of my shipment will be up shortly!! Also, funny enough, HelloFresh sent me a coupon for FFF… =)

Box Flash Back

2015-12-15 01.48.56

I didn’t get the Fall 2015 FFF box, but I love letter writing so I swapped for this wax and stamp at some point and just used it! My sister got one as an add-on this month and used hers too =D I really like it.

Verdict: This box was missing out on an obvious Fit aspect, but really, headphones can be used during exercise [as demonstrated by my jumping about and twirling] and the HelloFresh box sends healthier meals. However, the Winter box really nailed the Winter theme!! The colors and items were perfect. Plus, anything I didn’t want went right into a Christmas gift box hehe.

What do you think of this FFF box? Let us know!

Does anyone else keep the pretty art page? I threw away the whole book before writing this post [oops] and kept the page of wintery items in a pretty font.

Ooh, I like how everything in this box could be gifted. I kind of wish I got it for that reason. I would have totes kept the gloves and headphones though! I like the little wine glass guys too!

Great review and I love the cat pic! 🙂

Thanks, LC! I also like that these are great gifting items. This really was a good box, and I am glad I got it. I keep forgetting the gloves in my heavier coat though, so I need to put them back in my car!

My box has been “in transit to USPS” for a week and a half now. I am not optimistic.+

Boo! My sister lives in CA and the box ships from there, but I get my box several days to a week before she does. I know they ship them in waves, so maybe they generated the tracking label and haven’t posted it yet?? I hope it comes soon!!

Every time I see reviews of this FFF box I think the same thing….

Hehe Ally I’m glad I’m not the only person with a curious mind ; )

I never know where to stick the reveal picture either! I’m afraid I will forget it if I wait until the end of the post. It looks like a great box.I enjoy reading about it and looking at the photos. I had an office that was cold and used a little heater to keep my toes warm. I would have loved to have those gloves back then.

I usually put it at the end like, surprise this is what everything looks like all together! But then sometimes I think it’s a good beginning like, here’s what I got, and then break it down after that.

I got some awesome snarky socks and a gem art print with my Shoptiques card! Did anyone else find something cool on that vast sea of boutiques??

Oh, found my original unboxing video, added it to the post, and also broke my gloves.
