Faithbox Limited Edition Holiday Box Review

Subscription: Faithbox Limited Edition Holiday Box – One time purchase still available

Cost: I paid $40.00 plus $5.00 shipping. It is now $60.00 plus $5.00 shipping.

Notes: I purchased the box at the lowest price. I was aware of the one spoiler, but not the others at the time of purchase. Spoilers were released periodically throughout November.

When did the name of the box change from the Special Edition Christmas Box to the Limited Edition Holiday Box? Somewhere along the way it changed from the Christmas box to the Holiday Box. Why?

I had to scrap my first post because I had it labeled as a Special Edition Christmas Box. I can’t be putting the wrong information out on the internet especially when the post has the incorrect link assigned to it. It’s a good thing I double-checked everything! Imagine the confusion Google would experience. Is it a Christmas Box Post or a Holiday Box Post? Maybe it’s a New Years Box! I’m going with the flow. If Faithbox wants to change the box from a Christmas Box to a Holiday Box, so be it.

The Items
The Items minus the card

Here are the items from the Limited Edition Holiday Box. It was not what I had pictured in my mind. I was looking for something more focused on Christ’s birth. I can’t quite put it into words, but it did not meet my expectations. Remember, I ordered the day after the box announcement.

Askinodie Coffee sipping Chocolate
Askinosie Coffee Sipping Chocolate

Askinosie Chocolate Coffee Sipping Chocolate: I do love the idea of single origin chocolate and coffee. However, I  was not able to find the coffee version and can’t comment on the source of the chocolate or coffee. The ingredients and nutritional informationare found on the bottom of the canister.

The Cap

Container

I saw someone mentioned that their container is half empty with chocolate melted against the cap. My container is fuller than halfway. The cap doesn’t bother me.  I assumed that a little bit melted during shipping.

The coffe chcooalte pieces
The coffee chocolate pieces

Anyone recognize the bowl? My husband and I tried the coffee sipping chocolate pieces. We are not big coffee drinkers. It tastes mostly like chocolate with a hint of coffee. My sister will love it!

I hate it when I open a potato chip bag, and it’s half-empty!

The Giving Key
The Giving Key

The Giving Keys Classic Faith Necklace: Yes, readers, this is the same company that was featured in the FabFitFun Winter 2013 box. People went crazy over the Giving Keys.  The Giving Keys can be purchased at Nordstrom Online and other stores.

Faith
Faith

The Faith key is the perfect selection for Faithbox and Christmas.

Information Card

The information card explains how to use the key. It’s a beautiful concept especially at Christmas time.

There is a spot on the website to share your story. I read a few stories. There are inspirational stories, and stories that will bring you to tears.

Keep Cup
Keep Cup

Keep Cup – Medium: The medium cup holds 12 ounces. It’s lightweight and unbreakable. It fits perfectly with the sipping chocolate.

Lid
Lid

The lid is easy to use. The black tab moves over to cover up the mouthpiece when not in use. I checked and could not verify if it was dishwasher safe.

A great explanation!

The box contains lots of information. I can’t determine after reading everything if the cup is dishwasher safe.

I’m the dishwasher of the family.

World Help Gift Card X 2
World Help Gift Card

WorldHelp Giving Gift Card: The Giving Gift Card is a great reflection of the Christmas spirit. The Giving Gift Card was also featured in the December Box.

It’s good to give!

Devotional
Devotional

I was surprised to see the word Welcome on the Devotional. I was expecting a devotional related to Christmas being that the December Devotional focused on Giving. The WelcomeDevotional is designed to be used any month of the year. I read the introduction page of the devotional and realized that Faithbox was expecting either subscribers to gift the Christmas/Holiday box or that people new to Faithbox were purchasing it.

It made me wonder if I was the only one to purchase it to enjoy during the Advent season. After seeing the spoilers, I realized that this box is more suited for my sister. I am gifting it after all.

First Edition faithbox Scarf
First Edition Faithbox Scarf

There is no information in the back of the devotional about the products. All I know about the scarf is from the spoilers they released throughout November. I measured the scarf. It is approximately 68″ long and 6″ wide.

F for Faithbox
F for Faithbox

It feels like lightweight cotton. I do not know the material because there is no information provided about the scarf. I could not find a care or material tag on it. The F stands for Faithbox.

Puss In Boots
Puss In Boots

Puss in Boots tried out the scarf. He had a hard time staying awake because it was cozy. The tree is in front of a window. The boys argue every year about using a fake tree versus a real tree. This year we are using an artificial tree. Next year will be the live tree. We still need to add on the finishing touches! The cat tree was placed near the tree to create a Christmas atmosphere for Puss in Boots.

Verdict: I am giving the box to my sister. It wasn’t what I expected from a Christmas turned Holiday Box. I am disappointed that neither the December Devotional or the Holiday Box Devotional focused on Christmas.

I do think the brands featured are wonderful brands! I hope that others find great enjoyment in the Christmas turned Holiday Box curated by Faithbox! I know my sister will enjoy the items very much.

Hmm my guess is that something happened with the contents and they couldn’t make it very Christmassy, so they just went with a general wintery theme??

I had that sipping chocolate (which allegedly serves 2) this morning mixed with TJ instant coffee. I believe I got it from a sub box but I do not recall where.

ITA with Onderria this looks like a nice wintry box they perhaps lost a supplier or two that would have round the box more Christmassy…

I agree. perfect box for gifting. The name change was probably related to the fall out of any specific Christmas items. Wouldn’t it have been cool if they had organized it like an advent calendar with daily devotionals and some days had a treat?

Although I realize that people of any religion (or even no religion) can have faith, I did kind of assume that this box was Christian-oriented… so I would think they would have tried harder to have a couple of “Christmas” items in the box. How hard could it be to get an ornament?? Oh well, the items do look nice!

Yes, I forgot to comment on that – awesome sauce! I actually think it makes Puss in Boots look like a superhero! Like the scarf is a little cape (even though it’s on the front) and he’s flying through the air like Super Kitty!

        Super Kitty I love that!

        • December 11, 2015 at 8:54 pm

He’s a sleepy super kitty. He could hardly keep his eyes open.

If I had all your kitties I would go on a cat huffing spree to end all sprees!
