The Items
The Items

My box was not included in the first shipment of December boxes. I noticed on Facebook that the first wave of boxes may be missing mints. Be sure to contact Faithbox if you are missing an item. The back of the book describes all item included in the box. Also the December box is not the Special Edition Christmas Box. The Special Edition Christmas Box is a separate purchase. My review will be up for it in the next day or two.

Devotional
Devotional

The Devotional is the item that brings the whole box together. This month’s theme is Giving. I did not like the Devotional for December. I was looking for something more Christmas focused. I also was puzzled by the use of a quote from Taoism in a Christian Devotional Book. My opinion is just that, my opinion. You are free to disagree with me. I promise I won’t be upset with you!

Sunday
Sunday

Here’s a picture of what a Sunday looks like in the devotional. There aren’t action items on Sundays.

Mitscoots Women Socks

Mitscoot Socks: I spent way too much time wondering about the socks. I received women socks. I do not know if they sent men socks to boxes with a male name. All I know is that I received women socks. I am giving the whole box to my sister. She will be ecstatic to receive socks! Mitscoots offers more than socks. There are t-shirts, gloves and more!

The red and blue combination is a nice color combination for Christmas.

Anchor in Hope Haiti Ornament

Anchored in Hope Haiti Ornament: I linked to the Facebook page. The ornaments are made from a 55-gallon drum. The name reflects how the artisans have their anchor in Jesus Christ.

It’s amazing that an ornament can be crafted from a 55-gallon drum!

WorldHelp Giving Gift Card: Two $10.00 gift cards are included in the box. Faithbox suggests that you redeem one and give one to a friend to redeem.  The Giving Gift Cards fit the theme beautifully. It’s also a great reflection of the Christmas spirit.

Tis the Season of Giving!

Project 7 Mints
Project 7 Mints

Project 7: I apologize for not having pictures of the actual mints. I would have eaten them leaving none for my sister! They offer specialized gum flavors and gourmet mints. Project 7 gives back in seven different areas of need. I love the idea that little purchases can make a difference!

Food! Yummy!

Verdict: I have mix feelings about the December Faithbox. I feel the items fit the theme. However, I was looking something different for Christmas. Maybe the Christmas box will have what I am seeking for from Faithbox! This will be my last monthly Faithbox review.

Why is this your last box? I am meh on the Christmas box, and am thinking of seeing if anyone wants to buy the whole thing from me. For this box, I did not get the mints, and my socks were green no idea if it mens or women’s socks though.

I tried on one sock over my sock. It matched from toe to heel. Otherwise, I would not know. I am not feeling the Christmas box either. I did not like the November box and am not that keen on the December box. I decided to try out the Buddy Box for J.

Sorry. Kitties want to go outside to play. You should contact FB about your mints.

This was my first month with faithbox. The box I received was missing the mints and the ornament. I e-mailed customer service but nobody has responded yet. The whole experience has been so disappointing that I decided to cancel.

Sara, thank you for commenting. I am sorry that you had a bad experience. I understand why you decided to cancel. I saw that the curator posted today that they had a “massive influx” of email that they are working to answer. I hope they can assist you soon. I wish I could help you. Faithbox is one of the few boxes that I do not have a relationship with the curator.

Thank you for the reply. I’m not angry with Fb as mistakes happen. The special edition/Christmas box that I also ordered was great, so that helps make up for my initial disappointment.

I’m glad that you enjoy the Special edition/Christmas box! I hope it all works out for you. Keep us updated.

It took a week, but they finally replied to my email and sent me another December box. I just received it today and everything is there.
I was actually surprised by this as I hadn’t asked them to send me anything. It seemed like they really wanted to make things right.
I know this post is a few weeks old now, but I wanted to give a final update as the outcome was very positive.
