Hammock Pack Mystery Box Review

Disclosure: There are no affiliate links in this post. This box was paid for by me.

Hammock Pack is a subscription box that has always interested me. Each box is based on a destiantion and features small business items from the destination. I decided to purchase a mystery box when offered as a Black Friday Sale. I may order their December Favorites Pack. It looks like the monthly subscription is nonrenewing.

It's here!
It’s here!

I paid $20.00 for the mystery box with free shipping. It shipped December 1st and arrived December 4th.  I’m putting the review up tonight because people are eating the product!

It was a surprise! A mystery box surprise!

The items!
The items!

I knew from reading reviews that the majority of the items featured tend to be food and beauty products. Sounds good to me.

My family believes that food tastes better when it is delivered.

Banaa Chips
Banana Chips

AllGood Banana Chips: I like that Hammock Pack selected an organic product. The ingredient list is short. Organic banana, organic coconut oil and organic sugar is all that is included in this snack. AllGood, located in Utah,  sources its product from small organic farmers.  Hammock Pack wrote up a short blurb about its Utah box. The expiration date is 4/15/16. I am giving this to my sister because 1. she is gluten-free 2. I think bananas are disgusting.

My husband overheard me say there are banana chips in this box! I have the package hidden in her box.

San Francsico
San Franola Granola

San Franola Granola in Cinnamon Almond: I linked to a larger serving because the single pack is not on the website. Guess who is eating the granola while I am working on the review. He says it tastes good. We received the San Franola Granola once before in the May 2014 Escape Monthly box. All I can hear is crunch, crunch, crunch! Here’s a short blurb about the California box written by Hammock Pack.

Will there be any food left by the time I am done writing this review?

Me! Bath Papaya Nectar Bath Ice Cream
Me! Bath Papaya Nectar Bath Ice Cream

Me! Bath Papaya Nectar Bath Ice Cream: I am glad that I started taking baths to relax. Now I can enjoy all the amazing bath products. The directions say to scoop a piece into the bath. It has a wonderful beachy happy smell to it. The line is carried by Target although not near me.

The bath monster is eyeing it up wondering if it makes bubbles.

Aura cacia Soothing ORganic Milk & Oat Bath
Aura Cacia Soothing Organic Milk & Oat Bath

Aura Cacia Soothing Organic Milk & Oat Bath: I think I linked to the correct version. It is always good to have something like this on hand. It soothes irritated skin. The most exciting thing to me about this product is made with Organic Valley Milk.

Hay bales
Hay bales

I took this picture of one of our fields back in August. This hay went to a farm that sells to Organic Vally. We also sell grain to another farmer that sells Organic Valley Chicken and Milk.

Know your farmer!

What is inside?
What is inside?

One item was wrapped. J opened it and was excited because it looked like cookies. My husband thought it was a cake.

Chocolate Chip Wicked Whoopie Pie
Chocolate Chip Wicked Whoopie Pie

Chocolate Chip Wicked Whoopie Pie: I grew up knowing this yummy treat as a whoopie pie. They call them gobs where I now live. I smile every time I see the Wicked brand. Wicked is a New England Slang Word that people in the Mid-Atlantic States do not recognize. It was hard for me to stop saying wicked when I moved from New England.

I also received a Classic Wicked Whoopie Pie in the April New England Sack that is on hiatus.  The above picture is one of the pictures that I posted on the Makeup Talk Forum New England Sack Thread.

Yummy
Yummy

The whole family was excited to see the whoopie pie. It did not last long.

Delicious
Delicious

The Whoopie Pie is from the Maine Box. I saw another favorite brand in there – Stonewall Kitchen. Maine is the only New England state that I have not visited. Here’s a fun look at how Maine views tourists.

Bramble
Bramble

Bramble thought Hammock Pack was a kitty hammock. He feels he could use one in the main house while he winters away from the farm.

Verdict: I talked myself into ordering the December Favorites Pack. The whole family is pleased with the box. The only food left is the hidden banana chips!

Wicked good box, whoopie pies are a PA treat, like your reviews. Love Bramble, know your farmer’s cat!

I am so confused. What destination us this? The hammock pack link for San Francisco features completely different items from yours. Do items vary from box to box. Is this box still available?

This box is confusing because it is a mystery box, not the monthly subscription box. It was a Black Friday special that had a mixture of items from past boxes.

The regular monthly subscription box focuses on a destination or a theme. The December Box sounds like it will be similar to the Mystery Box in the sense that it will have a mixture of this year’s favorites.

I linked to the California Box because the San Franola Granola is from the California Box. It’s the fourth item down on the Hammock Pack Link. October’s Box was the Maine box that featured the Whoopie Pie.I linked that one too.

I don’t know if the mystery boxes varied. My guess would be yes, but I don’t know. It’s no longer available for purchase because it was a Black Friday special.

Let me know if you have more questions. I hope I did not confuse you further!
