Saturday was a bright, sunny day making it a great day for picture-taking. I had to keep moving J’s picnic table the whole time because the winter, OK still the fall, the sun goes down quickly where I take my outdoor pictures.

Fredericksburg Farms Hen Scratch Poultry Rub

Fredericksburg Farms Hen Scratch Poultry Rub

Fredericksburg Farms Hen Scratch Poultry Rub: The Poultry rub is a delicious blend of lemon peel, garlic, paprika, onion, red pepper and a dash of brown sugar. I feel a tad guilty for keeping this for myself and not giving it to my sister who is gluten-free. There are spice blends that have gluten in it. I noticed on the Fredericksburg Farms website that they sell candles.

Subscriptionista and I occasionally discuss doing unboxing videos. This video would have contained an excerpt of me trying to explain the concept of a rub to my husband. He still doesn’t believe that I actually put olive oil and spices on the chicken.

Yes, Virginia, people do mix olive oil and spices together and rub it on chicken.

Light Mountain Natural Hair Color and Conditioner

Light Mountain Natural Hair Color and Conditioner Kit: The Light Mountain Kit is a great example of why I enjoy my Herbal Bliss boxes. My sister is going to be over the moon when I give her this kit! She has been eyeing the Light Mountain product line at Whole Foods when she visits me.

Back of the box

She’s been wanting to color her hair with a Light Mountain Kit. This kit is a neutral color designed to coat, protect, and bring out the shininess in your hair. This kit is perfect for her to protect her hair and understand the intricacies of henna hair dyeing. I looked around on Amazon for reviews and found a few that had helpful tips.

I glanced at the color chart and the color choices for grey hair. Hair coloring is the last natural frontier for me. I do use an ammonia-free hair dye. It isn’t as natural as using Light Mountain. I’m very excited for my sister and can’t wait to see her face when I give the Light Mountain kit to her.

She’ll be swinging her glossy mane around this winter.

Brown Butter Beauty Pumpkin Ginger Glow Sugar Scrub: The Pumpkin Ginger Sugar Scrub has a light pumpkin scent. The scrub has good scrubbing power with oils that soak into your skin. It felt like a true spa experience.

I took this picture outside when the temperatures were in the low 40s.  I stirred up the scrub before using it and experienced no problems. The oils mixed well with the scrub. I love the scent! This is one of those times that I wish Herbal Bliss offered vendor discounts. I need to try the Babassu Deep Conditioner. It says it is perfect for thick, curly, tangled hair. I am adding it to my Excel Spreadsheet Wish List.

Guess what will be showing up on in the upcoming Saturday Empties Post?

GingerChi Chi Boost Energy Stick Roll On Energy Boost

GingerChi Chi Boost Energy Stick Roll On Energy Boost: I love roll-ons. The Energy Boost is perfect for the holiday season. Please note that this particular roll on is not safe for pregnant mommies or those with high blood pressure. The scent is a pleasant mix of ginger and peppermint. I’ve used it a couple of times and felt an energy boost. I’ll report back after more time passes. I saw an aromatherapy heart locket and a diffuser pendant on the GingerChi website. It reminded me of when I used to have a perfume locket as a child.

The perfect boost for the holiday season!

hbn10Natural Patches of Vermont: I saved the best item for last. I am excited to try out the patches. Here is an explanation about why to try a patch.  The idea of having the perfect aromatherapy blend ready to use in your purse/gym bag/briefcase is an appealing concept. The story behind the company is quite interesting. I should try out the Calming Stress Formula!

Stroing them in my Globe In
Storing them in my Globe In Hand Woven Basket

I noticed that the packets fit my Globe In Woven Basket. I think the patches are an ingenious idea and look forward to using them.

Imagine if there were vending machines selling the PMS and Menopause patch!

J as a purple belt

J is testing for his Blue Belt in Tae Kwon Doe in a few days. He wanted me to show you his picture as a purple belt.

Verdict: I love the November’s box. I was very happy to see a scrub! The Light Mountain Kit is something that my sister has wanted to try. The rub, patches, and roll-on will be used. It’s another great month! I can’t wait to see what comes in the December’s box!

Little Lamb is taking a closer look
Little Lamb is taking a closer look

Herbal Bliss August Review: Poor Little Lamb. He wanted to keep the Moon Valley Organics Lotion Bar to himself. I used up the Super Salve and placed an order for more. It helps my OA in my hip. I used up most of the foot cream and liked it. I have about half the tea left. I am not a big tea drinker. I do appreciate having quality tea to drink.  I chickened out on toothpaste and gave the toothpaste to my sister. I started using the lotion bar and had to hide it from Little Lamb. He’s obsessed with it.

    Good luck J!

I think the oil thinge is maybe ok for pregnant mommies maybe its a CYA for the high concentration levels those are good scents for nausea. Pepperment is not recommended for nursing mommies.

Strong pose by J! He looks blue belt ready to me. Though I love purple myself… 🙂

Wow! Another unique, amazing box by Herbal Bliss! I love the variety and how they always include items that I don’t have and may have never bought on my own. I can’t wait to get my first box!!

I bet J will do great!!!

I love your idea about a vending machine for the PMS patches, they’d sell out in no time.
