Magnet Theme
Magnet Theme

This month’s theme was Star Wars. J wasn’t too sure about it because we are not big Star War fans.

It’s a lonely month not being a Star War fan this month.

December News

I received the box yesterday. Today I received an email detailing more news such as the price increase for new subscribers as of Jan 1st. Check the note section for more information. Kids Prize Pack is also donating 500 Kids Prize Pack to Toys for Tots. Great Job, Kids Prize Pack!

Informtion Card
Information Card

I could tell from the information card that J will enjoy this box.

The December Items
The December Items

USPS decided it was better to leave the box in the rain instead of moving the packages over a couple of feet where it would have been protected from the rain. The box was soaked. Fortunately, the items inside survived! I had a mess on my hands from the boxes and did not have any pictures of J helping with the unboxing.

My Darby Smart box was soaked too.

Yoda Tin Pencil Case
Yoda Tin Pencil Case

Yoda Tin Pencil Case: J liked it because Yoda looks fierce and is holding a sword. I opened it up and found…

Quick peek at the box
Quick peek inside the pencil case.

I loved it that Kids Prize Pack put a few extras inside the pencil case. J was excited to see them.

He loves finding treasures.

Pencil and Card game
Pencil and Card game

Until this very moment, I thought it was a pencil and a pad of paper. The pencil has a Lucasfilm trademark on it. I am not 100% sure what it represents from Star Wars.

Alien War Card Game: I did not find an exact match. It seems like a fast, fun game that will appeal to J.

Sub Bella does not know it all.

Halo
Halo Charlie Blind Mystery Pack

Halo Charlie Blind Mystery Pack:  In place of the Star Wars blind we received Halo. Kids Prize Pack did place a disclaimer on the information card that substitutions may occur. Neither one of my boys were able to build the Halo item. It surprises me because my 7 year builds complex Lego sets.

Mega Blocks provided a Mega Challenge.

Star Wars Play Pack
Star Wars Play Pack

Star Wars Play Pack Grab & Go BB-8: There are many Star Wars Play Packs, but I was unable to find the one for BB-8. J will use it in the car.

Travel toys are always welcomed.

Funko
Funko Pop BB-8

Funko POP BB-8: J  was excited to receive a POP figure especially one that his older brother does not have. It is a bobblehead and sits on a stand. He plans to put it on his headboard.

J doesn’t know about Hero Crate. I wonder if the same POP figure will be in it.

Play Dough
Play Dough Star Wars Can-Heads

Play-Doh Star Wars Luke Skywalker and Snow Troopers Can-Heads: Play-Doh came up with a great way to use the cans in play. J plans to use them in an epic battle.

Anything can be used in an epic battle when you are a seven year old boy.

Lego Star Wars
Lego Star Wars

Lego Star Wars Yoga Chronicles Trilogy: The 96-page book has scenes from the show on every page. It’s perfect for a young reader.  I will be reading the book first to J. He enjoys having books read to him.

He loves reading Lego Ninjago books too.

J reading the book
J reading the book

It looks like he started to read without me! He lost another tooth this morning and plans never to smile an open grin again. He carefully staged his photo by adding in his legos.

He takes after his mom.

Bramble
Bramble

We attempted to take Bramble back to the farm yesterday. He decided to sit on top of the bookcase near the ceiling. He’s a smart kitty.

He’s also a bad kitty that knocked an Iron Man mug off the table today.

Verdict: J is not a fan of the theme. He does love the individual items. Don’t tell him that it means he loves the theme! He is enjoying this box and can’t wait for the next box.

The pencil is a lightsaber 🙂

      I feel incredibly stupid LOL.

I do not like bobble heads but that is a cute one. It reminds me of a keepon (you tube it a very cute dancing robot). We bought 2 of the real BB-8s my husband wanted to sell one but we might just open both or Christmas. Or hold on to one but not sure whether the works nowerdays for value…

It’s hard to say about the value. J loves the bobble head. I don’t get the Funko love. Enjoy your real BB-8s.

I don’t get the Funko love either. We got one in a box and I think we just threw it away. I hoard craft items and eyeliner, not cartoony miniature characters with big heads!

If J takes his lightsaber pencil to school I bet there will be several envious kids. Elementary boys love Star Wars books and the little girls love the fairy and puppy books. Other than that, Garfield is always a hit with both. I miss subbing in libraries =)

Is this box still available? I think my neff would LOVE it!

I don’t know. They usually post on Facebook if boxes are available. I haven’t seen a post.
