Yes, somehow this mini leg lamp makes it into the nativity every year….

I hope this Sunday Morning (it is still morning on Maui) finds you well. I was going to post the award results today but I might extend that a little longer to allow folks to vote. Also because right now I am obsessed with something else.

We are not huge gift givers in my household. We prefer taking each other out to eat or doing activities but every once in awhile a present comes along that stops you in your tracks….

nes

Que Superman theme…da da da da dun da da….dun dun dun dun dun nun na…………

It is a Nespresso coffee maker. We are a little neurotic at my house when it comes to coffee. Most of my friends say that they never drink that much coffee except when they are with me……hehe

My mom knew I have ben eyeing these machines for over a year now waiting for the price to come down. And they finally did! It was a Christmas miracle of sorts.

When you have a toddler and another one on the way then you get very very maybe overly excited about quick easy and delicious caffeine…. Somehow this delightful inanimate object makes rising at 4:57 am daily a sheer delight because there it is waiting for me all shiny and ready to dispense that delightful liquid.

So that leads me to you dear readers…. What happened to you guys this weekend? Any fun memories made? Did you scoop up any after Christmas sales? Did you give someone a present that they absolutely loved? Did your mother, uncle or cousin get wasted and ruin Christmas dinner? Maybe you don’t observe Christmas and instead took a camping trip.

Tell us! We are listening

Lol I love the mini leg lamp!!! Doesn’t it feel more like Black Friday right now in the box world because there seem to be more and better deals going on right now which is surprising! I’ve been pretty lazy but today I plan to get moving!

Ooh, I have been coveting those Nespresso machines. You will have to update us on it once you have had a chance to put it through its paces …

Well, I have the original one that has held up for going on 4 yrs now. This new one brews bigger cups of coffee…..hehehe. I will tell you this that they have the most incredible customer service known to man. If your machine breaks they send you one to hold you over while they fix yours!

4:57am? 5am sounds much less miserable… I think you should wait 3 more minutes to wake up!

Our Christmas went great! We had 22 family members at our house (8 are kids between the ages of 4 & 15), my husband cooked our usual Italian feast – yum! He also got me a fun, beautiful ring (and some earrings)! Everyone enjoyed their gifts, the food (& the wine but nobody over-did it) and just spending time together. 🙂

I know those extra three minutes make it feel so much worse!

My Christmas was meh. I’ve never been a big Christmas-y person, and our family is small. We weren’t really going to do the gift thing, but my mother still bought me stuff because well…she’s my mom.

She bought me a Squatty Potty. Admittedly, I’ve been wanting one because they’re supposed to be good for you. I just wish she hadn’t wrapped it up and given it to me in front of my father. That was awkward.

The Squatty Potty came up in discussion with my family on Christmas so we all watched the commercial on YouTube! Coincidence? 🙂 (We also watched the Poo Pourri commercials… hysterical!)

I feel like the scene of you opening the squatty potty with your parents is straight out of a Judd Apatow movie. Full of awkwardness that you may never forget…..That being said, those are supposed to awesome. I have done a lot of traveling in Europe and they definitely feel more sanitary for a public toilet than sitting on a peed on seat where someone has left their toilet protecter half in and half out.

Ally that’s great =) My sister and her boyfriend took a squatty potty to a white elephant party and it was very popular! Then my brother gave his wife a poo pack, I mean a two pack for Christmas. I think they’re great! The commercial is super creepy. Before this was a popular thing I was just too lazy to move my nieces’ stools from in front of the toilets, and I thought it was some sort of miracle stool! Hah, kind of.
