Bluum Subscription Box Review Plus Coupon – January 2016

Subscription Box: Bluum

Cost: Starts at $34.00 per month with discounts given for longer subscriptions.

Special Offer: Try Bluum for $10 off on your first month with code MYBABY10.

What You’re Getting:

Personalized Monthly Boxes For Moms & Babies (up to preschool level). You can either let (1) Bluum select your items, (2) let Bluum know your preferences and Bluum will select your items based on your preferences, or (3) customize your box by choosing your own items. I choose to customize my items. If I recall correctly, there is a count-down timer (either 25 or 30 minutes) and you can select from different categories that are in your chosen (Bluum cutely calls “Describe the Cuteness”!)’s age group. Once you select one item, then all categories reshuffle. At this time with customization, you can only choose four items but apparently a fifth item/option may be available in the future because there is an icon depicting a fifth slot.

Kick Back and Get Comfortable:

Ok so I have many reasons why I got Bluum. First, I used a code for a year subscription. Second, as what I did with Citrus Lane, I used most of the higher priced items as presents and the rest as a surprise gifts or presents for my Pnut people.

Third, we have a SECOND appointment at the sugar bug doctor for Pipsqueak and will be using two of the items as gifts from fairies that come visit through a fairy door. You see, there is only so much a sugar bug doctor can do with limited time when most of the appointment was getting Pipsqueak to sit on the chair. So we have been preparing Pipsqueak for the Sugar Bug Doctor visit and letting her know that the Sugar Bug Doctor is giving her a present, a fairy door when fairies will come by and check on her and her sisters and occasionally give gifts for good behavior. And of course the door will allow the tooth fairy to come in when she starts losing her baby teeth which is why the Sugar Bug Doctor will give her the fairy door. There are many other colors for of this fairy door but Pipsqueak would have chosen this purple glitter door in a heartbeat!

So here is said fairy door bought from my beloved Amazon:

Roly Poly Box Book – Snow

Roly Poly Box Book – Snow: This Roly Poly Book is awesome. I had not seen anything like it. It is a box and BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE it is also a pop up book! There was no way I would gift this away it was a must have for my Pnut people. I could not wait for the fairy door so I busted this out as a surprise treat when Pipsqueak did a good deed. Pictures do not do this book justice and as soon as I see another version of this book in Bluum I will definitely snap it up! I had my assistants Pipsqueak and her sidekick Squeak attempt to demonstrate the awesomeness that is a Roly Poly book!

Nature Trails Collection – Spring Butterfly Kit

Nature Trails Collection – Spring Butterfly Kit: This Spring Butterfly Kit from Nature Trails Collection is beautiful and is a substantial gift. The box has allot of weight to it and will be going to the gift pile. So you build the butterfly and BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE it doubles as a model and piggy bank!

Start the kids up early with multipurpose gifts!

Melissa and Doug ON the GO – Pinball Arcade

Melissa and Doug ON the GO – Pinball Arcade

Melissa and Doug ON the GO – Pinball Arcade: I heart basically anything Melissa & Doug. This is a cute handheld pinball game that you can change the background on. This will be a gift from a fairy.

I am sure a fairy will have no issues bringing this through the door in the middle of the night with aid of magic fairy dust (in the form of sub box loose glitter eye shadow)!

Parragon Books mini tin gift set – Catwalk Cuties

Parragon Books mini tin gift set – Catwalk Cuties

Parragon Books mini tin gift set – Catwalk Cuties: I could not find much information on this cute Catwalk Cuties but basically is paper dolls but using animals instead of models. I noted that the back of the box is metal so I plan to add magnets to the box after it is opened just because it sounds enriching. This will be a future fairy gift for my Pnut people.

I think sales of an item like this would have been better if the animals were of a cat and dog don’t you?

I politely demand pictures of the fairy door! I want one!!! I mean… I want to get my nieces one… How are you using it? As a tooth fairy door? [I had to google what they were for]

Your polite demand will be my pleasure stayed tuned for most of the fairy gifts will be from sub boxes lol! The fairy door is for multiple fairies, but we will be focusing on Tinkerbell and her sister Periwinkle visiting with guest appearances from other fairies and cameos from the tooth fairy. You should definately get your nieces one! I wish I had one when I was wee.

Pipsqueak’s appointment is tomorrow so I am going to sneaky pass the wrapped up fairy door to the sugar bug doctor. Then trauma that requires years of therapy will ensue. Later that night we will install the fairy door (I will take picts and use for a future post). After they goto sleep I will make a note from Tinkerbell and her sister Periwinkle on how they too are “sisters for life” and will visit to check up on them and that they are thankful for the fairy door so they and their friends can visit. Also I will add a gift and shower the area with sub box makeup glitter as fairy dust.

So that is day one. In the future random mornings I plan to have fairy dust by the door, random gift, notes (for good and/or bad behavior), words of encouragement, visits from different fairies all with some fairy dust by the door. I will also ask the girls to make pictures or write their names with momma’s assistance for the fairy (you know doing the enrichment thing). Also, if something is broken I will have the girls leave it by the door and hopefully Tinkerbell can fix it. Fairies are good for disposing of offerings of artwork and toys that should be donated, etc. and let us not forget the tooth fairy! Because the door is at both the bedrooms, we do not need to worry about fishing a tooth from a pillow because it will be by the fairy door!
