Influenster Nexus VoxBox Review – January 2016

Influenster is a group online where you can check out people’s reviews of everything from water to mascara. I joined because I kept seeing how they had different products to review all sorts of interesting items. IT felt almost like a subscription box because boxes of products sent out for review are in something called a VoxBox.

I signed up and hooked up my social media to the system to see how much “Social Impact” I had. Turns out not that much lol However, I was still able to score my first VoxBox. All of the boxes are different depending on what group you are in. I was put into the Nexus Group.

I honestly don’t know the magic to getting a box. I just answered some of the questions and lucked out!

Nexxus – Therappe Rebalancing Shampoo & Humectress Restoring Conditioner: I love the scent of my hair after washing with this set. It smells so clean and girlie without knocking down everyone in the room with a too heavy odor. Remember back in the day when everyone was using Herbal Essence and you couldn’t walk into a elevator without feeling like you were huffing the stuff? I really prefer light clean fresh scents!

These word together to do a great job on my hair. I did not notice a lot of new body but that would have been an all out miracle considering how flat my hair always is! I have dry hair and I could feel a difference in how dry my hair was. That is awesome! Hopefully using this will stop the insane hair breakage I have.

I have been told I need “therapy” and feel that “Therappe” is just as good…

Nexxus – Humectress Luxe Lightweight Conditioning Mist: I used this both with and without the above shampoo and conditioner. It sprays a really light mist, and my hair air dried looking less frizzy. There was still friz though. However, again it helped keep my hair a little more moist. It also helped me with loosing the little tangles my hair. It smells light the shampoo and conditioner! I am really glad that this doesn’t weigh hair down because of my super lifeless hair.

I think my hair is afraid of birds nesting in it so it tries to keep a low profile and no volume!

Verdict: Nexxus makes great hair products. I have used them since I was a kid because my big sister is a hair stylist. I love the light scent and how the products helped out my dry hair. Other products have made it worse so now I have my go to set for when things get out of hand while testing other products!

My experience with Influenster has been interesting because it is all really new to me. I still don’t all the way understand how to get different products but it is fun to fill out the quiz’s and you all know how much I love to give my opinion so there is that! 😉

I do like the coconut smell of that Nexus line but my hair for some reason has broken up with Nexus. I think my haor goes through a honeymoon stage that always lasts one shower act but sooner than later it wants to move on. Nexus did last a few liters before the breakup so it was kinda a long-term relationship. I think my hair has commitment issues.

How many sisters you got? I got none but have a knack for making them. I hope one of them becomes a stylist because I hardly go nowerdays. It helps that I like my hair long. With that said I hope your sister cuts your hair such a convenient way to bond and get your tresses cared for in one shot!

Pnut, your hair is a fickle lover. You need to find the product that can romance it over and over…. and over…you know… you know what I mean…….. I have a big sister and a twin sister. I also have a big brother. My big sister and big brother are from my moms first marriage….the twins? We are from her third… we were a ….surprise…. my siblings are like 20 years older than me. But they are so damn cool. But they are still in the Bay Area where I grew up.

Go mom! I would love to have twins one of the best BOGO deals.

Pantene PRoV and Herbal Essences I remember those days. My hair is indeed a fickle lover. But you know what my hair likes? Alterna Cavair anti-aging shampoo (which is SULFATE-FREE). Go figure my hair usually hates sulfate-free. I ordered some Sephora stocking stuffers and one of them was a Alterna travel set because I remembered I liked the shampoo and when I opened it up I realized it was sulfate-free. I want to buy a liter but its $80 something clams so I will see if I can use my Nordies points later this year.

Hhhmmmm what is this Humectress? Sounds interesting. I remember my first bottle of Herbal Essences in middle school. I’m pretty sure I cried in the shower because it made my curls feel AWFUL and it was my first real shampoo that wasn’t my dad’s gross V05. Oh man, I hated those lying herbal in the shower commercials after that. The only other time I had that horrible hair dry/coated residue feeling was when I blindly grabbed my mom’s shampoo for dyed blondes. At least that specifically stated it was for blondes… I just couldn’t read.

I used Pantene forever and then triedd herbal… I almost puked in school. I could smell it so badly. My hair is super thin, and I have light hair (I dye it white basically but it is not too dark to start) so it is very thin. The dying and I think being a veggie make it thinner. So I can’t say what this will do with thicker hair. It does provide moisture, which is good for me. They have other formulas for different needs.

Can you start doing cool pastel colors? I would if I could, but I think I’d have to start by bleaching my hair. I’ve never actually done any sort of dye in my hair, but I’ve been wanting to be a redhead my whole life and was thinking I’d get a haircut and ask about getting a red tint or rinse or whatever those are…
