Peaches and Petals Subscription Review + Coupon – January 2016

Peaches and Petals is a lifestyle and beauty box with a retro sort of leaning. They promise a mix of products that are both bring beauty and style to your door each month. I could probably use more of both every day to be honest.

Cost: $14.99 a month. However, they sent an email update saying the following about a price change:

New subscribers will incur the new fee at $19.99 effective January 15th. However, for our current subscribers prior to January 15th, we will continue their subscription at the introductory rate of $14.99 until March 15th, then it will switch to the new rate of $19.99.

Is it just me or does Washington look like he is judging me?

The theme is “No Time Like The Present.” Sigh, I am so behind on like every single thing and should probably make this theme a mantra… but I won’t.

Peaches and Petals 6

Fruit Infuser Water Bottle: I have been wanting one of these and almost went for the FabFitFun deal that offered it. Then I was all, meh, I will wait for a better deal. I am thinking my wish sort of went out into the universe and then a little bird heard it. This bird then started a social media blitz, that among other things, was the catalyst to me finally getting this product.

I wish I could infuse water with french fries… because that would be interesting…

Peaches and Petals 5

Selfie Stick: I need to get the hang of the whole idea of the “selfie.” Just last night, I tried to take a selfie of some new cat ears I bought and I ended up looking half crazed and somewhat drunk. The thing is? Only ONE of those things were true!

I wonder if this will help me sneak up on my cat for pics!

Peaches and Petals 7

Adventure Jewelry:  Mine was a Hot Air Balloon. It arrived broken. I am not sure what happened. I mean, I am sure they planned for the flight to my place!

Sometimes adventures don’t turn out the way you expect…

Peaches and Petals 9

Healthy Cooking Cookbook: I think it is cool to get a cookbook in a subscription box. I have such a limited diet that this isn’t super useful for me but I think it might make a nice gift. Or I could leave it out in the kitchen and people will assume that I cook!

“Oh that? I was just whipping a little something up no big deal… I mean it is kinda a big deal but don’t let that intimidate you so much you can’t open that bottle of wine for me…”

Peaches and Petals 8

Inspirational Decal: I am not one of those people who are super into inspirational sayings. I think we all have that friend who has a ton memorized. I am not her. Anyway this could be good for those who like to get pumped up!

Life is an adventure, and living it allows you to eat pizza…. Did I inspire anyone?

Peaches and Petals 10

Verdict: I really like the fruit infuser and the selfie stick is going to be fun. The set up for it is plug and play which is great! I was sad my necklace came broken but it really wasn’t my style anyway. The cookbook will be fun, and might lead to some good cooking stories! I wonder what type of changes they will be making with the price change and am excited to see!

Another reviewer had a broken necklace and so did several commenters. Seems like they were sent broken…

They replied to it on my instagram offering to send me a new one which was nice. I am not going to make them though since I won’t wear it anyway.

Someone on MSA commented that the cookbook was actually a free gift with a magazine subscription a few years back. Odd

It might have been some deal or something. It is a super nice cookbook. I spent some time looking through it and am even more happy I got it because the instructions and dishes are easy to do. I am not a “cook” so a whole book of easy ideas is nice! I guess I would be more unhappy if I wasn’t such a lazy cook!

Oh the things I have seen being done with a selfie stick in Hawaii! I feel like they might need a warning on them….. please use common sense when operating this mechanism. Also drugs and alcohol may significantly impair your judgement while using said selfie stick and you may end up in hospital…
Water infuser are so fun. I call it spa water… Hey guys don’t mind me, just showing up to Crossfit with my spa water….hehehehe

My thoughts run wild now with weird selfie stick injury scenarios. Spa water fancy! I am going to call it that from now on so that I will be fancy too!

That’s a fancy water bottle there! If I was crafty like Onderria I would incorporate the pieces in a project. What project? I dunno not that crafty 😉
