Project 7 Gum – Summer Snow by Onderria

Project 7 Sugar Free Gum, Summer Snow:

This was nommy. I chew and swallow my gum, likely because I have mommy issues when I was wee. I defied my mother letting her know that no tree was growing in my tummy because I swallowed gum. Lucky for me, this gum is one of those free of x,y, and z additives so it is healthier for my tummy in case a tree wants to grow in it. The packaging reminds me of shaved ice of the Hawaiian Islands (and lucky Mailbox Junkie who lives in paradise)!

Gum is a Nom in Pnut’s world!

Here are the January 2015 themes!

And here is the 2016 Planner received in January (an advantage for us procrastinators)…

Blue Sky Day Designer Weekly Planner

Blue Sky Day Designer Weekly Planner:

This photo is a nod to my Subscriptionista sistas who love wine. May 2016 bring us many red bottles of wine to drink!!! This is a bottle my husband and I either bought directly from the Rubicon Estate or it was part of the Rubicon Wine Club that we participated pre-Pnut people. When I think of it, are wine clubs a subscription box!?! Anyways, I am going to digress further, just awhile ago, Mailbox Junkie posted a review see here that was a very expensive box subscription because most of the money went into drinking wine for a wine cork project, and one of the corks was a Coppola cork and it was discussed at the commentary section. Further digression, the nifty Koa wood contraption that holds the wine came from the Kona side of the Big Island (as we mainlanders typically call it) when my husband and I were traveling from viewing a waterfall on the northwest corner of Hawaii.

So with my digressions out of the way, I am using my Blue Sky Day Designer Weekly Planner as a casual meal planner and master checklist for 2016. The Blue Sky Day Designer Weekly Planner is actually on another part of the kitchen counter between the refrigerator and oven which is pretty uncluttered and used as my station for my pumped milk for my Pnut people because one time I tried to sell my pumped milk and I either got interested scammers or creepy people. I digress, I pump throughout the day and I meet this planner in ma face throughout the day. I actually like it because anything important I need to jot it down. In the back I have a master checklist of DIY projects to do in each room (we purchased our first home for the new readers). Lastly, I jotted down a checklist of personal goals that I need to do, first is updating baby books. So I may not do it all, but I have a reminder throughout the day that does not make me totally forget what I aim to do!

Should Subscriptionista open up shop with wine cork projects from our wine corks? Discuss!

Spark Joy: An Illustrated Master Class on the Art of Organizing and Tidying Up

Spark Joy: An Illustrated Master Class on the Art of Organizing and Tidying Up:

I only read through the first part but from what I can tell this book has less stories that the first and is more concise. Just like me. Basically, if it brings joy, keep it. If it does not, chuck it. I believe strongly that Marie Kondo really should have had a few bi-lingual friends read the final edit but I am not an editor. Anyways, there is this section on cosplay (costume play) and I take it from this section that if your dress sparks joy you should wear it inside the home if you do not wish to wear it outside. That should be interesting on KonMari followers who do not lower the window shades at night.

Last point, is that there are pictures in this book! I have taken to pictures in books now that the majority of books I read are picture books.

Stay tuned for more Sparking Joy postings from yours truly (no cosplay involved)! See past postings here!

Patchology FlashMasque Trio

Patchology FlashMasque Trio:

As per website,

These fast-acting facial sheet masques deliver results in just 5 minutes, while traditional sheet masques can take up to 20 minutes. Simply apply, take 5 and go…no rinsing required.

  • Exfoliate FlashMasque gently removes dead skin cells for more even tone and texture.
  • Hydrate FlashMasque delivers a mega-dose of moisture for soft, silky skin.
  • Illuminate FlashMasque reveals fresh-faced radiance to lackluster skin.

Give me a minute (or five minimum as required for a treatment)…

Illuminate FlashMasque reveals fresh-faced radiance to lackluster skin

Ok I am now “illuminated”. I had to do it as most of my Subista sistas have taken to use their posting time using beauty treatments. I have too see one of my Sparking Joy posts here, but this is my first sheet mask (I have a small army of them in the refrigerator). This is much nicer than a mask drying up on ma face I must say…

I am illuminated.

ChapStick Total Hydration Natural Age Defying – Soothing Vanilla

ChapStick Total Hydration Natural Age Defying – Soothing Vanilla:

One of my favorite JuJuBe youtube ladies (specifically GradysMom who now knows I stalk her YouTube Channel if someone clues her in) buys lipstuff and lotion and noms and creates custom teacher gifts for her wee one. I think this will go to the teacher gift pile.

I want to be a wanna-be JuJuBe YouTube lady… but alas I am anon.

Not Soap, Radio (Exclusive Set for PopSugar)

Not Soap, Radio (Exclusive Set for PopSugar):

I love Not Soap, Radio as I receive many in my subscription boxes! I just apply them hands on as anything aids with scrubbing properties (e.g., poufs) has been squirreled by my Pnut people for their non-usage.

Here are the scents in the lovely clear pouch!

Awash in a field of four-leaf clover (green & white tea + clover)

-Smells like freshly cut grass.

Bathing with sharks (beach + sky blue water)

-Smells like the ocean with some sort of floral notes strewn in

To sleep full of sweet dreams (lavender + clementine)

-I tried this previously in a Birchbox and I love it! It does indeed smell like lavender and clementine.

When life gives you one too many lemons (lemon + sugar)

-Received this in a Birchbox as well. Smells like a lemondrop! My favorite shot!

Liquid Freud (coconut milk mango + vanilla)

-The coconut milk is strong with this one. Like the mango but not digging the vanilla.

Note: My favorite scent from Not Soap, Radio is not featured but is The Stuff that Cupid dips his Arrow In (again received via Birchbox). Very fitting since Valentine’s Day is around the corner. And very odd since I am typically not a fan of vanilla scents (the scent is blackberry and fresh vanilla cream).

I need to let you know the best scent in my humble opinion was not featured because you need to know what you are missing out! What are your Not Soap, Radio favorites?

Pehr Designs Pebble Speck Bin

Pehr Designs Pebble Speck Bin:

I had plans for this. My Pnut people also had plans for this. They are my Pnut people. Also see Onderria’s picture below because I thought her idea rocked (using her bin as a nifty laundry hamper). At least my Pnut people do not mess with my boxes (yet)!

PSMHpehrbasket

Pnut: zero    Pnut People: one

Verdict: I love Popsugar because of the value even though some of the prices are overinflated I find that out of all the sub boxes, I use Popsugar the most. I will use almost everything in this box and what is not used will be gifted! Another win for PopSugar from me!

I decided to give the Konmarie book to my sister because she randomly posted in our family group chat about how she just heard about the first one so I said she could have mine. I love the planner bc it has checklists! The first body wash I started using was the lemon Not Soap, and I also love lemon drops! I don’t like vanilla, and I tried to give it to McB but it is as yet untouched in the tub. I’m sending the chapstick to my mom who turns 60 at the end of Feb. Perhaps it will help her lips look like they are 17 again. Good box yay =)

Am I the only one who was dissapointing the gum was white? I was expecting tie dyed gum! I really want to read the book but have a feeling that I will not because I thibk I prefer reading your interpretations Pnut.
I had a 6 month break from Popsugar and I must say I love getting it again. You are right it is such a great value and some of my favorite all time items are from PSMH

I wonder what wars would start if a sub box item had predominately Red Dye No 40 instead of natural coloring!

I will do updates of my only adult book read of 2016 when I do a Sparking Joy post!

PSMH is the best! Commentaters are commenting on the awesomeness that was last February’s box and I hope we get an encore performance from PopSugar.

I am hoping for an encore performance too. I don’t even want to know what kind of weirdos respond to a breast milk ad. They don’t understand it is liquid gold. I need to try out the masks!

Ok PSMH Spoilers are out! Expected chocolate but the box looks great!

It worked out in the end because I got pregnant and my supply went downhill. The deep chest freezer was filling up fast. Although it would have been nice to have $4000+ instead but I guess you need to know someone or pimp out one’s liquid gold to a liquid gold pimp to do so.
