This box got out of hand. It all started when I woke up to late to go to Crossfit. My husband, the blessed man that he is, got up with our son and let me sleep in. So by the time I was up the wee one was heading off for a nap. It was a rainy Sunday morning and I had about 2 hours on my hands so….. I got out the Darby Smart box.

Now I had intended to only make a short video but that was before things got out of hand.

So here are the box contents in a 20 second video:

Here is a snap shot of what was in the box when I realized I was never going to make a video of this box:

What you can’t see is that the project is called: The Modern Leather Catchall….

For Darby smart you use a passcode included in the box to view online directions. So I being the smart gal that I am, I blackened out the password for the directions for the craft and then promptly forgot what the password was………. So I was on my own. And that was when things went down hill…..

It may have been because I was huffing the leather piece…. it smells so good like tack rooms at stables…. I am huffing it now…

Ok it all started when I didn’t have access to the directions and this:

It is my leather tassell keychain from Birchbox that is starting to look pretty dingy…..

So I googled a You Tube on making leather tassels and it was actually really easy.

1st I needed this:

Which was lucky for me because I have like 10,000…

Then I decided to make a pair of earrings…

Bam…

Next I moved onto the leather catchall which came out not to bad considering I didn’t have the directions:

***Note I don’t think this is how you are supposed to create the edges…****

Ps, don’t lose your directions code…

I used this can to flatten down the middle. I left the can in there for about an hour..

There is more….

I told you I got out of hand….

I used my nifty new catchall to “catch-all” wha wha wha and made a necklace…

Is anyone noticing the Pantone colors of the year theme that popped up in this box?!?!

And uh yeah, there is more….

I had yet to use my new nifty leather punch tool for more than 8 holes so I had to create something else!!

I told you! If you made it to the end of this post…Congrats! You must love crafts too.

Survey Says:

I love this box. Unlike last month, you could put in as much or as little time as you wanted to make stuff. It had a great value and I can totally see myself making more leather stuff. This was my favorite box of theirs yet to date.

Did you get this box? Did things get out of hand too?

Those earrings are awesome! From your commentary, I thought things were going to go downhill but everything looks great!! I think you might even need more leather to keep making cool stuff.

    Ahhhh the well loved Plumeria!

The catchall is the cutest! And that blue color does look PopSugaresqe! I have some hole punchers but they are not rotating ones but I think those must be easier to use. I only have one glue gun but if I had a million there are more ways to use a glue gun without using glue sticks but my memory is fuzzy it was an article read via Pinterest. I think you can melt crayons with a glue gun. I need to melt crayons to make those heart or star colorful ones. I digress.

I will now be googling uses for a glue gun!
