In Real Life: Subscription Box Hair Tie Hack

In Real Life is a series where we delve into how the items we receive in subscription boxes are actually used in everyday life.

Another sexy post by yours truly, Pnut. I think I was totally genius on this idea that I thought of because I do not like those hair twisty thinges that come in randomly in our subscription boxes because I overstretch them after one use. This is perfect for childproofing or somewhat discouraging nosy behavior.

Mostly because I am uncoordinated to handle childproof devices. It could be because of my tiny hands. Did you know that you can pull off most oven knobs off? I almost bought some oven knobs off my favorite place-that-should-remain-nameless because I am on a Harry Potter kick and the best review was like “pull your knobs off!”. Genius.

Very nice! My preggo friend would use a hairtie to extend her regular jeans =) Hook around the button, loop through the button hole, then hook the other side around the button.

That’s ten times better than using a rubber band because of the flexibility! Smart preggo friend you got there!

I wish I had been able to do that. My hips tripled in size both babies and I couldn’t get my shorts anywhere near up…. (hums baby got back…..)
I did turn my old boxes into stacking blocks for awhile until they got massacred

Its a great idea but I prefer maternity pants over any kind of band although the sub box hair ties is a great idea and definately more comfortable.

Just remember that its the hips that prevent us from getting back in our pants post-partum because you hit the hips before the butt 😉
