Is anyone else getting really excited about Leap Day? The fantastical mystical day that only occurs every 4 years!
No, Leap day and Trash Talk are not at all related…… but I am still excited!
Before we get started: Send me your trashy photos and reviews to be on this weekly series. It doesn’t matter if it is one empty or 100!

1st up: An Ode to Sophia Von Bearcat de Coronado in Eyeko eyeliner and Pacifica shadow…..
As time permits, I will be creating Odes to our pets or spirit animals with my toss bin makeup as a way to give it new life.
Thoughts: Eyeko eyeliner has a lot of pigment and a lot of “ink”
What happened this week? This is a sparse lot of empties.
Juice Beauty Green Apple Brightening Skin Care:
Box: Pnut Special
Thoughts: Although this sample was to small for me to really see any results, I did the trio of face wash, serum and moisturizer after a bath so it made it fun to use. The ingredient designed to fight dark spots is Malic Acid from green apples!
Sanitas Oil Free Moisturizer
Thoughts: This stuff is really lightweight so I used it to layer under foundation or sunscreen. I probably won’t re-buy though because it didn’t wow me.
Not Soap Radio in lemon and sugar
Thoughts: The smell of this stuff is making me want to reconsider a loofah. I love citrus anything. If I could smell like lemonade at all times I would.
3rd: Toss Pile
I am tossing these babies for one ingredient or another. But instead of telling you each individual one, thereby effectively putting you asleep, I will just say that we come in contact with a lot of synthetic ingredients every day. And there are actually not that many great resources to tell you about them. So if you are concerned about ingredients then be prepared to spend a lot of time reading articles and checking sources.
Isn’t 95% of the internet opinions anyway?! And you don’t need knowledge to have an opinion, right?!?! Am I right?!?
Ok, onto Onderria’s trash!!!
Not Soap, Radio in lemon (Popsugar): This was amazing smelling! It also left my skin quite soft.
Tarte Maracuja Oil (Ipsy): I got this a while ago, in my first Ipsy before I knew people were putting oils on their face. It is a neat dropper bottle, and I ended up using it on my décolletage because I have so many other face items.
Catherine Malandrino perfume (Birchbox): I think I liked this. I pulled it out of my perfume jar empty. I probably wanted to hang onto it because the full size is way too many clams for this shrimp.
Red Rose Rooibos tea: I got this in a swap. I’d never tried Rooibos but I love the flavor! The honey straws I buy because it’s easier than a jar of honey.
Origins Vitazing SPF15: Before subscription boxes I was visiting Macy’s and Nordstrom kiosks trying to find samples of tinted face creams with SPF that moisturize my dry skin but didn’t make my oily skin TOO oily. This left brown tinge in my eyebrows and wasn’t moisturizing enough so I mixed it with Acure.
Acure Day Cream: I originally got a sample of this in Birchbox, loved it, got more samples, then bought full size. It’s the most moisturizing day cream I found. I love it!
BioRepublic Green Tea Detox: I love these! They feel nice and don’t make me break out.
Acure Conditioner (Target): This was decent. Took me a while to use because I only wash my hair once or twice per week. The shampoo is maybe half gone.
Next Up: Alaina!
Acure Facial Toner in Balancing Rose and Red Tea:
Box: Acure Green Goddess
Thoughts: I loved it! Will re-purchase!
Hope you are having a great Saturday!
