WEvolve Box Subscription Box Review + Coupon – February 2016

WEvolve is a subscription that hopes to connect you with ways to reach a deeper understanding with your surrounds and on your personal spiritual journey. The curator Lalania chooses themes and items with a mindful intention. So it is not a box where she is just tossing sage and a handful of crystals in your box and mailing it out to your door. Thank goodness!

I choose to review more spiritual minded boxes from time to time because I could really use the help. I am often single minded and I get into ruts. I am happier when I take the time to just be thankful for the things that are happening in the now. That happiness often leads to a better outlook.

I also want to make a note that I don’t see boxes that have a spiritual slant to be at odds with my own personal religious belief’s. I have read some pretty concerning comments on MSA and other blogs when subscriptions of this nature are reviewed and I find it surprising. Many items can serve to uphold your personal religious thoughts and what is more, meditation and mindfulness is something that could make us all better people.

Boxes are sent every other month.

Cost: $49.95 a month or less with longer subscriptions

Color Zen Coloring Book with Colored Pencils and Sharpener: I nearly squealed when I saw this because I have been wanting to get a coloring book meant for adults. I ALMOST bought one at Staples, which is a weird place to go for such a thing, but I was there trying to find index cards. I just sorta get lost in there!

This is great for those of us who just want to clear our minds and relax. If you are anything like me, you think of a zillion things at once. It is stressful! Taking the time to just enjoy a little coloring is such a great idea. I also love the quotes from various people as they serve to make me happy!

I can’t believe Stephen King made the cut! Love it!

Yerba Santa (Sacred Herb) Smudge Stick and Large Abalone Shell: These are just so beautiful in person. I love abalone shell. It reminds me of time with my father in Northern California. We would walk to beach and find it, and he would tell me stories. I love the way this one looks. Both the outside and inside of this shell are flawless!

Smudge sticks are used a lot in meditation. This one is made very well, and is pretty in its own right. It is almost a shame to burn it! I will meditate on how my hobby is my greatest stress giver and stress reliever.

The shell brings balance and the herb is believed to help with psychic abilities and healing. I wonder if my bear would want me reading his mind even if I was balanced…

Amethyst Crystal Cluster: One of my favorites!!! This cluster is truly wonderful in person. The stones are a nice deep color which I prefer. The stone is known to represent spirituality and contentment. Which is something I could use a ton more of!

I will dub this the stone of cats!

Small Rosewood 108 Japa Mala: Mala’s function as a string of prayer beads. This one is 108 beads so that you can keep track of your affirmations as you say them. This set is so simple and pretty. I also love the affirmations that they included. They are all things we can agree on. Self love isn’t about being overly indulgent it is about learning to accept yourself.

I think the nuns and my church might actually hit me with a ruler if I called a roasery a “prayer mala” but they have a similar function!

New Moon Beginnings -Heart Chakra Crystal Infused Mist: Used to freshen your aura and space. I don’t have a big belief one way or the other about aura. I do have a very grounded belief that scent can play a huge role in helping create a space that is more suited for meditation. You know how you go to a spa and the all the scents work their magic really fast to help relax you? The same can be send about this scent which is not overly powerful but very spa like.

I can see myself pulling this out in a stressful place like a long line and being transported to my own happy place!

Verdict: WEvolve was true to their theme this month of Self-Love. I have personally always advocated this idea because you can truly those around you so much more when you take the time to love yourself fully. So many women spend their whole lives caring for others, and deserve the slice of happiness that comes with taking time out for themselves to mindfully embrace who they are. The items included were all really great quality. I can see the time and thoughtfulness put into curation, even providing more in depth explanations and ideas for each item included in the box on their website. As far as spirituality based boxes are concerned WEvolve is my new favorite!

Thank you for coming by and reading it! I will MAKE the time to color. I need to take time and just turn off the old brain a bit…

I have a kids mandala coloring book FOR ME (because I get pissy when I color out of the lines) and I have not used it for awhile but I would zone out. Maybe when Pipsqueak gets into a coloring phase (she is in drawing/painting stage), I can color with her instead of My Little Ponys. She colors out of the line and rightly so at her age lol.

I have an abollone shell though I like your story better I likely got mine on sale. I put the girls knot genie in it. We have tons of those stone cluster thinges in larger sizes they are beautiful.

        Lovely box and review Subista.

I just need to get some time set aside to color away! I am very taken with my stone because it is so deep. I wonder if I should keep it in my pocket and when someone is looking at me, I could take it out to really enhance my look!

I really like this! I used to color a lot with my students because it really is relaxing. But now I’d rather have a zentangle sketch book, and I actually just Amazoned one!!

    • February 20, 2016 at 10:42 pm

I was curious so I checked out zentangle (on Amazon of course). That is definately brain stimulating. Let us know how it works for you. It reminds me of a more complex version of drawing your handprint then repeating the shape again and again.
