Glossybox Subscription Review – March 2016

Glossybox is a beauty subscription box that runs $21 a month or less if you decide you want to go in for a longer subscription. The box includes higher end brands as well as ones you can peep at Target. Usually most items are full size. I would admit that Glossybox is one of my favorite beauty subscriptions because they tend to send out some interesting skincare items.

I also have found that their customer service has been really good in my personal dealings with them. It might take a few days for them to get back to me but they have always resolved issues I have had. Like when I forgot to use a coupon code, or the time I thought I signed up but it did not go through.

The actual boxes they pack the items in are really nice. I find it so tough to throw them out, and this is not just because I am a sad hoarder who holds on to crap I really shouldn’t. If you like packaging they really bring it!

Vine Vera – Reservatrol Merlot Moisture Day Cream: Yay for anything to help me fight my parched skin. This sample is pretty small lol I guess some might be glad to try to product because the regular price for 1.83 fluid ounces in a whopping $146. Whoa! I can’t see myself ever paying that much for face lotion. Safe to say I would never have tried this if it did not end up in my box.

Whoopsie after all the pics and stuff I found that they had sent me two of these items. So not a bad deal at all!

They say that resveratrol can be found in grape skin in high concentrations… I wonder if my insides are getting any benefit from all that wine I guzzle?

Luxie Beauty – Rose Gold Large Angled Face Brush (504): I always love getting brushes in subscriptions. This one has a nice weight and I am sure will come in handy. I think I want to give contouring a go one of these days. I bet I will end up looking like a clown but at least I now have a useful brush to “get the look.”

I never use circular motions when putting on blush, that could be my issue?

I Love… Cosmetics – Super Soft Hand Lotion ( Raspberry & Blackberry): Another lotion! This time for my paws, this lotions is pretty thick. I saw that there is varation in scents and I would have loved to try coconut. Hmmm… I get if I got the coconut I would want the berry. Box envy at it’s finest I guess!

They must have known how much I like to eat beauty products…

Too Faced – Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick (Chihuahua): I have been wanting to try this this product since it came out. Ipsy was sending them out but never sent it to me. I seriously was thinking I would have to actually *gasp* BUY it. Which is just… not right in my mind. Right?

I am not even sure WHY I wanted to try this so badly. I think because the idea of a lipstick or gloss sort of melting into my lips sounds pretty cool. I also see other bloggers always talking about how fun it is and what a great product it turned out to be.

Safe to say I opened this right away and slapped it right on my bird like lips! The color is not my favorite. It is muted and doesn’t really pop on my skin tone. I am still happy to try out the formula and maybe if I do a more muted look I can pull it off. Anyway, I really dig the way it feels. It doesn’t dry lips and the pigment is much like lipstick!

No Chihuahua’s were hurt in the making of this lipstick!

Eyeko – Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner (Black): I am always happy to get black eyeliner which might be weird to most subscription box fans. I wear it a lot and am always excited to try a new product. I really wish I could figure out how to do cat eyes for myself. Like that little flicky thingie at the end of the eyeliner line? My eyes are SUPER round. So I never can pull it off. Onderria has done reviews showing off hers and I was jealous! I want to do that too!!!

I also kinda wanna draw cats on my face with this…

Verdict: This month was a great value! I did spy at least one other box variation on Nana’s blog (link to it below) and I had a little box envy because she got something different, but I am happy to try out some fancy pants cream I would never ever buy in a million years unless it made me look 25 again. I would then buy it all!!! Plus it was really awesome to find that they actually gave me two. Now, to go shopping at Too Faced to see about getting a better shade and maybe a deal…

My variation was also slightly different from yours and Nanas. I got the same lippy, eyeliner, and brush as you. But I got a Marsk mineral eyeshadow in You’re Toast and Crabtree & Evelyn small handcream in my favorite scent (oceanly La Source). I am keeping the eyeliner and digged right in the C&E but everything else is set for the gift pile.

Speaking of box envy, PopSugar’s resort spoilers should be popping up soon! Lovely and funny review as always!

Oh!!! If it’s still around you should just take a pic or two of your vacations!!! So weird that they do that!

One picture uploaded in the media library just for you! I know weird but greatly appreciated I love Crabtree & Evelyn hand creams and I have been on a kick with tube hand creams since I got Cream Creme in a sub box. So this makes the box for me.
