Net-A-Porter Travel Kit Limited Edition Box Review – March 2016

The Box: Net-A-Porter Travel Kit Limited Edition Box

Price: $55

Contents: Hand-picked by people that can get luxe stuff in a box (and because samples and travel sizes are easier to obtain than full size), NET-A-PORTER’s ‘Travel Kit’ includes 12 products to get us hooked.

Hey I LOVE samples, not to knock on full size! But full size is always appreciated 😉

Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist

Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist: Love Jurlique. Love face sprays. This Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist is awesome. Smells like roses. Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist is housed in a glass bottle and most of my face sprays are glass or in a aluminumnisk can. I wonder whether that renders the plastic bottles as an inferior product. Does anyone have some thoughts on this?

Glass is nice but glass breaks. Although I have not broke a glass product yet (Knocks on wood)!

Deborah Lippmann Cuticle Oil

Deborah Lippmann Cuticle Oil: I love Deborah Lippman and I am always in need of some cuticle moisturizing love. I keep misplacing stuff that makes my cuticles succulent so this is welcome. This smells of coconut oil in the nice coconut oil way (not the iffy coconut oil way).

Cuticles need to be succulent too!

Lashfood Conditioning Drama Mascara – Black

Lashfood Conditioning Drama Mascara – Black: In the mascara pile this goes!

No love for you Lashfood! Stash pile for you!!!

Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick – Icon

Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick – Icon: This Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in icon is strong (definitely opaque as advertised) and a little goes a long way. This swatch was enough for my inner wrist, my lips as a stain, and a light stain on Pipsqueak who asked to try. “Please momma” she asked. Preferring her to ask for me to apply makeup is a much better alternative to having her go help herself (especially with this product)! I have to say the stain looked better on her than me. I have to say for a matte lippy this is moisturizing!!! I am going to keep it for special occasions (i.e., her birthday, weddings) since it would last a long time and the product does not appear to smear/fade in a bad way.

I love to “fake brush” my Pnut people’s cheeks when they watch their momma put on her makeup!

Lipstick Queen Invisible Lip Liner

Lipstick Queen Invisible Lip Liner: I love lipstick queen and I always wanted an invisible lip liner! Now I have a luxe brand invisble eyeliner! I love that it twists up and glides on smoothly.

Invisible powers this wee thin stick of a lip liner wand gives!

Erno Laszlo White Marble Radiance Emulsion

Erno Laszlo White Marble Radiance Emulsion: Enzo (oh you are Erno my bad). Your ok but I am not in love with you as I am with the other brands featured here today. You are getting no love and off you go to the small serum stash pile!

No love for you Laszlo! Stash pile for you!!!

image
Erno Laszlo White Marble Treatment Bar

Erno Laszlo White Marble Treatment Bar: I have one of these baby soaps from BeautyFix and its gone missing. Not that I would use it. Maybe my Pnut people have squirreled it away for their My Little Ponies. If my stuff is not in a pretty box, it is pretty much open season.

I will give you to my Pnut people to play with *Laszlo screams noooooooo*

Chantecaille Bio Lifting Cream +

Chantecaille Bio Lifting Cream +: Oh Chantecaille how I love thee so! Chantecaille never dissapoints me and I am happy to receive this brand in subscription boxes since Barneys upped its GWP buy in amount because that money now goes to subscription boxes! You are scented very lightly (first ingredient listed is rosa damascena flower water) but I forgive you my lovely Chantecaille I will make an exception for you. My dear Chantecaille, not only do you smell of roses, you are a bit oily, I will need to savor you during cold winter days.

Some people talk to their flowers, I my subscription box items.

Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask

Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask: Italians made this for us. Smelled like citronella candleske. Other than the smell, this hair mask worked well. Brand name reminds me of Winnie the Pooh.

With the millions Christopher Robin and Winnie the Pooh makes, this should be their hair mask of choice!

MIO SKINCARE Clean Slate Workout Swipe

MIO SKINCARE Clean Slate Workout Swipe: I love the Mio brand. I am sure I will love this. I wonder if the mint in the mint and cucumber scent tingles. And regardless if you are pregnant or not, if you love cooling leg gels, look into Mio’s version here!

I like to tingle.

Roloxin Lift Revitalizing Facial Treatment

Roloxin Lift Revitalizing Facial Treatment: I have at least one of these foils from another subscription box that I have not tried yet. I am going to plan to try one during my next foil spa day so if I do not like it, I can give away this set. It is very satisfying to have a pile of empty foils versus one foil in the trash bin.

Have you tried a foil spa day yet?

Leonor Greyl Nourishing Shampoo

Leonor Greyl Nourishing Shampoo: The french made this for us. Smells like an adult’s version of Loves Baby Soft. The shampoo is real thick and felt nice. Not sure whether I would rinse and repeat next time.

I promise to rinse at least!

Net-A-Porter Travel Kit Limited Edition Box Group Shot All Together Now!

Verdict: This pricepoint 55 clams is worth the approximate four times its value. I love the selections for the most part versus past Net-A-Porter boxes and I am happy to finally get a box in my paws!

Great review. I ordered the same box but haven’t had a chance to dig into it yet. I like the foil spa day idea, I’m sure I have some foil wrapped eye things somewhere. I think I’ll wait for mosquito season to use the hair mask, I like a good double duty product.

Thanks Niblet! When I have a foil spa day I really appreciate foils more than if I use them up one-by-one and it also is luxurious that if the foil sucks, I can just toss it and instantly help myself to another foil (and not feel bad because its a little foil after all)! LOL on the mosquito season for the hair mask 😉

I want the lipstick so that I can smear it on my face and look realllllllllllly drunk. Then I will put on a tattered housedress and wait for the FedEx guy! I always want to look my VERY best!

Why the FedEx guy? What about the other box carriers?

What about eyeliner? Panda eyes always say I was up all night awaiting for my box arrival.

Can you believe I have never heard of this box? How is that even possible? And I haven’t heard of most of these brands either!! Great review!

Thanks Mailbox Junkie! Net is an randomly box that is random seriously (not quarterly). A holiday box is usually expected from this box though.

I stalk the Net site looking for these boxes, so far I love most of their products. If anyone wants to go down another rabbit hole check out the space nk apothecary products at Bloomdales, they do an over the top gift with purchase a few times a year. I know it’s an odd name, but they are Brits known for finding cult products.

      • March 16, 2016 at 3:35 pm

There is a freestanding SpaceNK in Chicago. Here’s a rabbit hole for your rabbit hole, the direct SpaceNK website has occasional GWPs. If you love Net’s GWP and can splurge check out Barney’s spring (not fall) GWP.
