I follow Paper + Pen Box on Instagram [because I love writing letters], so I was pretty jazzed to get a box!

I love the simple, elegant packaging.

Theme: You Got This

Vintage Stamp Stickers

These look like floral stamps, and are quite pretty! I sent them to Subista because I have way too many stickers.

Harvest Paper Co. “You Got This” Imprinted Pencils: $5.75 for three.

This site has pretty funny pencils! I don’t use pencils, so I gave them to my boyfriend because he uses them often at work. I am just going to take a moment to gush about how sweet he is… He took them into work as encouragement for his apprentices. On the first day he had them, one of the women messed something up and was super down, so he took her aside and explained how to fix it and then at the end smiled at her, handed her a pencil, and said “you got this!”

I saw awwww so much I almost cried at how nice the gesture was!

Sea + Lake Paper Co. “Adult Status” Notepad: $8 on Etsy.

After my Boy Girl Party haul a few months ago, I have a plethora of notepads [see below for one such to-do list!]. I really really like this though!! It’s funny and practical. Plus, I love making lists.

paper and pen march 2016Le Pen in Black: $1-2 each.

I LOVE Le Pen!!! I stole a bunch from my brother’s wife several years ago, then bought my own from an Asian market bookstore. They have this sort of calligraphy-ish sharp corner that makes my cursive look lovely.

Sadly, it doesn’t improve the fact that my handwriting looks like 10 different people wrote on a single page.

paper and pen march 2016 and bella

Sooo… while I was reviewing my Paper + Pen Box photos, I noticed I spent WAY more time photographing Bella [who was clearly trying to distract me with her soft, soft kitty belly/bear trap] than I did taking box pictures. Sorry!! She approved of the tissue paper as well though…..

Verdict: These items fit pretty well with the “you got this” theme! I think the curator does a great job with this subscription, and it says on the page that it makes a great gift. I have to agree! Most of these items made nice little gifts for people. Actually, I gifted everything but the pen because it was all really nice items that I felt were well packaged and presentable! I kept the pen for myself because I <3 nice pens! While this seemed to be a little under the $20 value of the box, I do think it is a nice subscription and I might send some to my penpallies in the future.

Are you a paper and/or pen fan? Let us know!

Disclosure: Subista asked them for a box and they kindly sent this box to me for my honest review.

I noticed that! It’s tempting, but seriously I need to stop spending money, haha!

And thanks =D He’s off working all weekend, so I think I’ll clean the house so he’s a bag of smiles when he gets home!
