Juice Organics Repairing Shampoo and Conditioner

Box: Good Being

I know… Sadly it was a light week. My current problem is that a lot of the beauty boxes I am subbing to send full sized products. So it is a lot harder to burn through it than samples! However being long winded or talky…I can still fill up some quality space with my opinions. hehe…..

Ok so natural shampoo…Since I was raised by hippies, I have always been in a constant state of flux with all natural products. However, it is only recently that I fully committed to going green. Two things have been hold ups for me over the years and one is deodorant (I am a sweaty gal………I’m not kidding… is gross…) and the other is Shampoo. Natural shampoos and conditioners don’t usually cut it for me. I have waist length hair that requires frequent washing because of all the sweating….. sigh. Anyhoo, turns out some of the worst chemicals for you (like the absolute avoid avoid avoid) are in shampoo and deodorant. In shampoo it is SLS or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate and in deodorant it is Aluminum.

Here is the ingredient line-up:

Fast forward lots of scientific talk. This shampoo works ok. The conditioner works great. It is extremely affordable ($7.99 at Tar-jay). And it is free of most things you want to avoid. But the standout feature is the smell! It is light and coconutty without being fake or overpowering!

I don’t generally like green tea, but this was delicious!
At first I was jazzed to have this, but it burned. Then I didn’t really notice it was doing much. Pnut pointed out that retinol causes skin sensitivity, so I won’t likely buy this again.
Another sample from my cup of perfume minis. This was okay at first and I felt ritzy, but then it started smelling a bit too above my generation after a while. It’s not bad, but if you like the smell it’s not something that lasts all day unfortunately.
Really good face wash! Feels nice and took my makeup off well.

Omg my sesstra gave me this and I snuck into my brother’s house while they were on vacation and used their giant bathtub. It was AMAZING! My skin felt sooo soft! I also put in some bath tea, which is actually a silly idea because it just sticks all over you and the tub. I guess I need a tub tea infuser.
This was heavenly. I included this in my spa night, and though my brother didn’t have any open wine, I drank a citrus IPA in the tub with my red wine mask.
I highly recommend you all have more bubble + wine mask baths.
Pnut’s Trashy Trash:
Came from Net-A-Porter’s LE Box
Smelled lightly and a thick face cream used during cold Chi weather days.
I believe this came in a Goodebox Bonus because I bought two awhile back and I have a set of two. I am using this as a hand creme it smells of Hawaiian Plumeria and we all know I am obsessed with Hawaii!

I reviewed this on Subscriptionista (I forgot which box)

A less abrasive version of a Suki face scrub this version does not dry out!
That’s all folks. Come get trashy with us next week!

Mailbox Junkie you crack me up! I really enjoy reading your posts. “Tar-jay”. That made me smile and chuckle. I haven’t heard that in a few years. The only other person I’ve heard say that was my stepfather who passed away in 2012. He was a very humorous and witty man. Thanks for smile.

Thanks for reading! I am not sure I would re-buy because I am addicted to Broo shampoo. You might like it!! It is beer based and it has totally changed the life of my hair
