Peaches and Petals Subscription Review + Coupon – May 2016

Peaches and Petals is a lifestyle and beauty box with a retro sort of leaning. They promise a mix of products that are both bring beauty and style to your door each month. I could probably use more of both every day to be honest. It seems to be eclectic but usually not too heavy of the beauty products which is a welcome change for many of us subscription box enthusiasts!

Cost: $19.99 a month

Party Tasting Set: I am SO excited about this set! It is something I wanted but never even knew it until it was mine. I think this will really help me make my food look nicer for when guests come over. Usually I am just tossing snacks everywhere and manically trying to get my cat off of the table. I mean, sure I let me cat go wherever she wants… but I don’t want guests to know that!

These little cups are going to make me feel like a fancy Top Chef contestant. I mean don’t they always say that we eat with out eyes first? I think that is them. Or someone.

Why yes! It is Fire Cheetos with a mini pickle! Just a little something I threw together!

Melamine Cutting Board: I like that this cutting board is small and easy to wash. I am not crazy about the print but I never really thought much about cutting board prints so maybe I wouldn’t be crazy about anything? I will totally use this because my place has limited space. I just need to figure out what I am going to cut…

I see tomatoes that are trying to hide from me…

Cocktail Napkins: Napkins are useful and these are cute. I don’t think these are super witty or anything but would you give out the wittiest napkins to people who are just going to dirty them up? I wouldn’t! I would keep those napkins for display purposes in my napkin collection room. Just like any sane person would…

I am going to make napkins with me giving a judgmental face with the caption “You have ummm something on your face…”

Pennant Banner and Paper Medallions: I am going to give these to my sister who is always doing gathering and decorating for them. These can fit a lot of themes and make it easy to turn your house into a party palace.

I just thought of something funny to do with these. When your significant other is away, set up the house with these and all sorts of party stuff. When they come home and ask about it, get all mad. Start crying about how you can believe they “forgot.” Then tell them you won’t tell them what they forgot because it “obviously wasn’t that important anyway…” See how they react!

“I can’t believe you forgot and i went to all this trouble… you’ll have to REALLY make this up to me!”

Chalkboard Arrows: These are actually helpful for parties. I would like to know where the bathroom is or even which driveway to park. Once I went to a friends party and I walked in the house (I had never been there before)  and noticed they were not there… So I totally thought I was in the wrong home! Turned out I was in the right place but I was so afraid for like a minute.

I would use these arrows to point out uninteresting unhelpful things like: Litter Box!, Garbage Disposal!, Sock Drawer!

Party Game: I have never played an actual game of charades. So much of modern life is one big charade anyway ammirite? This looks really cheesy so it might be a fun time! I am having guests soon so if I get annoyed with them I will bring these out and drag us through a night of party games.

If I am really mean I won’t provide booze.

Surprise: Each month they send out different items for a surprise that differ from subscriber to subscriber. I got a lantern which really goes with the theme. I dig it, and will let my sister use it for a party should she wish. My kitty chews all the paper stuff so I can’t have it out for her to gnaw on.

I also got fancy straws which will make drinking our of a mason jar that much more beautiful!

Obviously my cats paper eating is why I don’t have huge piles of cash everywhere, and not my overspending on box stuff…

Verdict: P&P did a super job this month! I love the items and feel like they all went with the theme of throwing a shindig! I really want to figure out something cool to serve in the tasting set. So at some point I will try to post up an IRL with them. I think tonight I will have a box wine party for one to celebrate!

I cancelled this box last month. Now I’m kicking myself as I frantically try to find that charade game! Awesome review. Pickles and fire Cheetos…would you serve that with a White Wine or a Dirty Martini??

I will send you the charade game! I will put it in my next shipment to you! I would go dirty martini with the combo… Russian style

Awww, thank you! I have that Black/White purse from Deux Lux that I will send you. I even kept the dust cover to this one! You can keep it, pass it on to someone else or use it as a giveaway! Purses are too big for my caring crates.

I love that tasting set! Totally laughed out loud about your hiding tomatoes and napkin collection room, by the way!

Mmmm. Well, maybe if your tomatoes are cherry ones – you could halve them and toss with some little mozzarella balls, basil and olive oil to make mini-caprese salad bites?

OMG I WOULD EAT THAT!!!!! YAS!!!!!! (decided to just make it for myself and have wine and eat them all by myself shhh) Seriously yes!!!

Awesome!!! Please post a photo of your creation! Don’t forget some crusty bread for soppin’!

I am all about bread! I am like the last person on earth who still thinks bread is actually healthy… I swear it is! (no medical evidence at all but I just FEEL it)

OMG I want to play a hypo game. If Suscriptionista, Mailbox Junkie, Onderria, and Pnut were at Subscriptionista’s place for drinks, who would get which straw?

I bet I would get the “Sip Back and Relax”!

Hehe, I’ll be “it’s five o’clock somewhere” because I’m pretty sure I said that like 90 times on vacation as I took out the vodka before noon =D I also yelled “SHUT UP I’M ON VACATION!” to McBoyfriend when he asked me if I was making a drink at 9am. Its was a POG mimosa anyway, nbd…

I like this box! I think P&P is really stepping it up. The little mini spoons would be great for fishing snacks out of your martini or Bloody Mary. Because, I don’t know about all of you, but I always eat that stuff [except for lemons and limes because I doubt anyone washes them]. You could also pretend to be SUUUPER pretentious and serve cup o’stars in them to your guest and tell them it’s deconstructed grilled cheese…

      • May 24, 2016 at 7:49 am

        POG mimosas sound delish!

I like the cocktail napkins — they remind me of the drawings in the Fearless Flyer from Trader Joe’s. I enjoy the Victorian Age ladies and gents discussing baconaisse popcorn as passionately as I do.
The tasting spoons are awesome too. Perfect for an amuse bouche or to hold extra lime wedges!
