According to the Gap-Summer starts on June 1st. I walked by their store yesterday and they had signs everywhere counting it down. Alright so since the Gap reminded me that summer is coming and not the increasing heat, let us make predictions of what will be showing up in boxes coming near you
MJ predictions:
- Bronzer-
Let’s take a poll of who actually uses bronzer?! Comment below and come to Bronzer defense. Otherwise raise your pitchforks with me and say “No more bronzer!”
Personally I want Golder…..You know that powder that makes you like like a Bond Girl from Goldfinger
- Denim Patches…..
Yes you read that correctly. Look watch I found on Glamour.com as a summer trend you absolutely must have. I mean they will fit in a sub box.
- Hot Swap Item: The Circular towel from the Happy Rebel box (even though the angry Villagers were huffy that it wasn’t made by The Beach People)
- PSMH Summer LE will be amazing. For some reason i think they are better in the summer.
- Also Check out another Summer trend from Glamour….
NO that is not someone bringing you your mail….it is a trend called logo tee…This shirt was on a runway and post runway this shirt sold out…..uh huh
I am imagining this guy walking down the street getting mobbed by sub box villagers because they think he has their mail…..
Subscriptionista Predictions:
- I think there will be designer organic Sand kits to DIY your own beach
- I foresee ocean scented everything but suspiciously none will smell of seagulls and BO. I will wonder not for the first time why I haven’t been to an ocean that smells like any of the products…
- Pedicure stuff since its time to dust off our toes
- I predict candles and something tells me we will see more kitchen towels as they are the new scarf.
- Goats will be making a bigger power grab. Goat milk taffy will be THE thing.
- Someone is going to get mad at Glossybox for something
Onderria’s Predictions:
- chocolate, with complete disregard about incoming summer heat, and like Marie’s choco bar they will all come half melted.
- floral lotions that make you wonder if you ordered the “mature woman from the roaring 20s” box.
- Wooly Willy-esque crafting solutions to upcycle the winter coats ladies have been shearing off.
Pnut Predictions:
- I am also noticing tons of face mists. Which works out because I love face mists.
- Round beach towels could be the next turkish towels!
- Maybe more floppy beach hats they appear every now and then.
- And bug repellant you don’t know how tempting it was for me not to get Goodbeing just for that freebie.

After reading your great post, I guess that someone will release a summer LE box with a super high value. The box will include a $350 logo tee, an organic build your own beach kit, some melted chocolate, a round towel, demin patches & as a bonus for ordering early, a roaring 20s honeysuckle lotion. It will have a projected retail value of over $500.

I use bronzing powder most days. I am insanely pale (there are ghosts with more melanin) and have never been tan in my life. I skipped the bronzing powder one day at work and half of my coworkers asked if I needed to go home because I looked sick. That said, I have one that I like from Jane Iredale and that’s it. The others that I have tried make me look like an oompa-loompa.
That settles it. I am thinking a guest post to teach us to use it…
I’ve already seen a lot of bronzers and sea salt sprays in current subscriptions so I guess the trend will continue.

I have a nickel sized pin that is 11 years old that I kept from a Surfrider foundation project. It will always be a treasure. I am going to have to check out these patches though!!

Also, when will subscription box companies think about the beloved pets? My kitties deserve beachy waves too! I demand sea salt spray specifically balanced for my kitties’ fur, so they can look glamorous coughing up hairballs, and I can huff only the most stylish of catfur.
Seriously we need to start our own subscriptionista box. cat fur sea salt spray. makes me think of the scene in 101 dalmations where the owners and pets all look alike

If you want gold, try MUFE’s metal powder. I know Laura Geller has a pressed gold highlighter thingy powder, and I remember Chanel did something gold powder for the face but it might have been years ago.
