Hmmm… The bow maker must have had an off-day

When the bow maker takes a day off, all bloggers and subscription box customers notice!

RITUALS Cosmetics Shower Foam in Zensation

RITUALS Cosmetics Shower Foam in Zensation– is a cherry blossom scent tinged with organic rice milk.

I am not sure whether the cherry blossoms are organic but let us move on.

The is my second time to sample a RITUALS Cosmetics Shower Foam. Do not get me wrong, I simply love the dominant (possibly organic) cherry blossom scent, however, the first scent I tried was from a Limited Edition Birchbox and it was all minty tingly (that scent was called Hammam Delight).

I like the minty tingles.

Also, unlike the first bottle (of tingles), this second bottle went from gel to foam within seconds. The previous bottle (the one I refer to as the bottle of tingles) dispensed into a gel and then foamed when you touched it.

It is like you tingled the gel and it turned into foam that tingles!

Talika Photo-Hydra Day

Talika Photo-Hydra Day– It was a good thing that I got this because I just ran out of a moisturizer to balance out the latest serum I am currently using from a BeautyDNA box (see review here).

image
Talika Photo-Hydra Day

Talika Photo-Hydra Day looks like a semi-opaque white. This is very moisturizing. I am not sure about the summer glow marketing part as I applied some on my hands a few times to test out the glow part. I guess it glowed? Regardless whether it glowed or not, this is a perfect moisturizer for summer! It was not greasy nor oily and sank right in. There was a pleasant scent that faded away quickly when I applied it to ma face and my hands.

I put the foil seal in the corner because I am weird.

NIOXIN System 3 Cleanser and Scalp Therapy Conditioner

NIOXIN System 3 Cleanser and Scalp Therapy Conditioner – For normal to thin hair? Yes. For color treated hair? Yes. Minty scent? Yes! Slight tingly feeling for both shampoo and conditioner?

Yes! Yes! Yes!

And then things sorta turned weird. After I washed out the shampoo, the minty scent turned slightly menthol. And then the same thing happened after I washed out the conditioner. I did not want my hair to smell like menthol so I put in some foil conditioner from my May’s Birchbox (see review here) to take away the menthol scent.

This shampoo and conditioner gave me a squeaky feeling and it should not strip out my just-colored hair which is awesome sauce in my book. So I will suck up the menthol smell with another conditioner chaser.

I have a need for squeak.

I plan to use this shampoo and conditioner set when my hair needs a good squeaky cleaning from the lovely silicone build-up I get so I can have frizz-free hair.

This shampoo may seriously be my deep cleaning/clarifying shampoo “Holy Grail” (AKA HG something that I cannot live without and will repurchase)!

Veraspa Face Moisturizing Gradual Tanner

Veraspa Face Moisturizing Gradual Tanner – I do not self-tan so unless our Onderria wants it, I will put it in my giveaway stash pile.

Public shout-out to Onderria: I did notice your subscription box tan and I think its great and makes you more luminous. I just forgot what post you did your subscription box tanning for all the world to see. So this blog post would be the best way to proclaim my thoughts on the record about your luminous skin. Luminate Onderria. Luminate.

Benefit Roller Lash

Benefit Roller Lash– I have tried Benefit Roller Lash before because everyone was like this.is.the.best.mascara.ever and  it was nothing jaw dropping. But it has a cult following. I guess it is better than Maybelline Great Lash’s cult following. I sent Benefit Roller Lash to my mascara stash/army.

You want to know a jaw dropping mascara sample? Dior Diorshow! The sample comes with a full-size brush head. It is HUGE! That’s what she said!!!

Glossybox May 2016

Verdict: I am happy with my Glossybox. I was really happy about the Talika Photo-Hydra Day and thrilled to put it to use with my serum of the moment. I am stoked to try out another RITUALS foaming shower gel. The Nioxin Shampoo will likely be repurchased as it gives me the squeak that I desire. The Benefit Roller Lash will get used eventually. And hopefully I should be able to give the two wee Versaspas a new home.

What do you think of my Glossybox?

Do you have a need for squeak?

Do you have a favorite product that is part of a “cult” following?

Please report below including anything at random (especially if it is a gratuitous furbaby story).

Great review. I love that Roller Lash, but I use it on top of another mascara. It doesn’t matter which one, I just use what I have opened, but the Roller Lash always makes my lashes look very thick and long. I got the Macy’s Sun kit in today. It’s awesome..did you get that one?

      Thanks Susie!

That is a neat idea using a mascara as a base for another mascara!

I just got my Macy’s Sun Kit and I am missing an item 🙁 I am going to contact customer service. Stay tuned for my review…

I put down the wrong screen name. I’m tired. The dangers of having 4 middle names. It’s CeciliaA.

Bahaha, thanks Pnut! I don’t need any self-tanner because I tan like crazy when I’m in the sun =D I just knew I couldn’t swap it away if my life depended on it, so I thought I’d see what all the hubbub of tanning was about. I was left with orangey hands and not much of a noticeable change, but I think perhaps I was mildly glowier?? This looks like a good box though!
