Grove Collaborative Subscription Box Review + Coupon – June 2016

Box: Grove Collaborative (this link gives you $10 and me $10 when you sign up)!

Contents: Curated and/or self-selected eco-friendly products such as Cleaning, Laundry, Hand and Body, Face and Hair, Kids, Scent Free, Oral Care, etc. to ship when you want it (monthly and on demand)! Some of the Brands carried are Seventh Generation, Acure Organics, Method, Mrs. Meyers, Molly’s Suds, and house brand Grove Collaborative.

And they have CANDLES! *still on a candle kick*

Cost: Price of your items (usually discounted) plus $2.99 shipping (waived if you are a VIP member see more details below).

Kick Back and Get Comfortable:

I LOVE the service that Grove Collaborative offers. Every item that I received was either a promotional free item or discounted. I will keep a lookout for more promos and let you know! Most of the products that I bought were not found on discount via my beloved Amazon. Because I wanted to avoid passing Target and paying $200, we would buy our cleaning products on Home Depot (which were not discounted at all).

We all know how I want to save money in the comfort of my own home.

I found signing up was easy. Grove Collaborative asks a few questions and then curates a box for you. You can then feel free to delete and add items as you wish.

There is a $2.99 shipping charge BUT if you sign up for VIP status, the shipping fee is waived! So while you are shopping look into the VIP trial because you receive free shipping for two months and then you pay $19.99 for a year. In addition to VIP status, you will receive freebies amounting to five (5!) full size items within a year so $19.99 pays for itself in (1) free shipping, (2) five full size items and (3) the already discounted savings on items purchased!!! And if you forget to add the VIP trial to your order (like I did) the VIP trial option appears after you place your first order. And then if you forget that, I am sure the awesome customer service will take of you!

Once you make an order you can set up to change when you want your next delivery and what products you want for that delivery. Grove Collaborative will send advance email reminders and a text reminder (if you give your cell) when a monthly box is scheduled so you can make any modifications to that order. Also a week after you sign up, you will be able to “purchase now” if you need something now.

Note on Customer Service:

Not only is customer service awesome, make sure you look under the customer service representative’s signature because there might be a link with a coupon to one of their favorite products. You know me and codes and coupons.

I also was recently sent an email blast from Grove Collaborative with some points that they wanted their customers to be aware of and if you are not happy with a product they will compensate you! How awesome is that!?!

An other awesome plus is that if there is a promo for new customers, Grove Collaborative usually also rewards continuing customers with a promo as well!

Codes and/or Coupons for new and continuing customers = A Happy and Loyal Pnut

Below is my assistant, Squeakette, who woke me up early one morning, likely because she wanted me to open up a box.

I think she is old enough to start reviewing subscription boxes.

Her halo is partially illuminated in this picture how neat!

Here view of my box with my assistant de jour.

The excitement of subscription boxes is innate!

Work it Squeakette!

The early bird gets a tutu and a subscription box.

First thing she goes for!

Method Minnie Mouse Shampoo + Body Wash in Strawberry Fizz

This bottle is huge!!! I used this as a bubble bath, wash and shampoo for the girls. The scent is just a nice natural strawberry scent, unlike the drooling, juicy, I-want-to-bite-into-a-strawberry-scent which the Method Minnie Mouse Foaming Soap in Strawberry Fizz below had. Which is a good thing because The scent makes it a little less temptation for the kids to swallow bath water.

Why kids want to swallow bath water is beyond anyone’s comprehension!!!

Method Minnie Mouse Foaming Hand Wash in Strawberry Fizz

Check this deal out because I may not need to order from Grove Co for a while as I found 6 of these babies for $15ish at the Amazon (see here) and it was Prime (or free ship with $35 order for the non-Primers)!!! Hurry there are only a few left at the time of this post (and Amazon pricing is fickle at times)!

So like for $15 clams for 6 plus the above purchased hand wash, I have a ton of hand wash for the kids to last me awhile. I hope they never discontinue this I will be very sad. I like nibble on my little girls fingers if they try to put their fingers on ma face so having them smell like juicy strawberries would make them giggle more as I pretend to fake to nom them off.

Give me some baby hand pads, cheek pads and toe berries for the nomming!!!

Seventh Generation Natural Cleaner Concentrated Refills in Glass & Surface, All Purpose, and Tub & Tile

Seventh Generation Natural Cleaner Concentrated Refills in Glass & Surface, All Purpose, and Tub & Tile

Squeakette was seriously studying these up and down. She was not sure about the different colors.

Ok these individually at Grove Co will run you $1.99 on sale each but if you order the trio its $4.99. So I really like the Tub & Tile (I pour some to make a little hot puddle in the tub and then scrub away). I can always use the All Purpose for the tub too (I mean its “All Purpose” amiright?). I gave away the Glass & Surface refill because I am swimming in glass cleaners.

Seriously I blinked and I found the glass cleaners I thought I threw away from the move. Because hoarder.

Does this pump foam momma? I know you like foaming.

OK so I realized that it would be nice if I provided an adult-version of foaming goodness for the bathrooms. I picked out the lavender scent because my husband likes lavender and the scent does not linger so people are like “do you smell like lavender!?!”

I thought she would be impressed by the transparency of orange foamy goodness that awaits me.

I was impressed.

Give me some nice foamy body wash please and thank you! I think this may be my new kick to use foaming soaps instead of shower gel. It is a nice treat!

Do you remember the classic Bath and Body Works scent Sun-Ripened Raspberry? Well if oranges can be sun-ripened like those raspberries, it would smell like this!

This was a $1 click bait email blast from a Grove Co email. Remember I said to watch your emails? I put this by my husband’s razor because I know he is not going to use it until I tell him. Because instruction. Its been a few days and my belief still rings true.

I just wanted to see whether he actually uses it because it is by his razor. Next.to.his.razor.

Grove Collaborative Lip Balm in Mango & Ginger

Momma is this a lippy? Will I be using a million of these too when I am less wee?

So I grew up buying a million lippys and used/losed them. Now I have a million lippys from subscription boxes and my daughters will never need to buy a lippy in their lives.

That sounds sorta lux doesn’t it?

Verdict:

I love love love Grove Collaborative! I am loved my second order and I am still deciding on what goodies I want for next month’s delivery so stay tuned!!!

Sometimes Amazon requires to buy in bulk to get a deal if they have the product. As much as I am addicted to the Amazon, I have not done Prime Pantry (it’s too much work to inventory tetris for me). I really wished Amazon would fulfill all my needs but Amazon is not perfect and luckily Grove Collaborative came to the rescue! I also want to avoid going to Target and paying $200 for products listed. Before Grove Collection entered our life, we went to Home Depot as new homeowners to purchase what selections they had just to avoid Target (but these prices were higher). Check out Grove Collaborative especially if you are one to avoid going in stores (because you spend too much and/or you have kids and/or just want to spend more time with your fur baby and/or all or none of the above and then some)!

Squeakette is ADORABLE!! You make the cutest Pnut people…

Grove collaborative makes my most favoritest smelling candle ever. I will buy more if/when I make a good dent in my current candle stash…

Is it the Grove Collaborative Blood Orange candle? That is the one that interests me the most!

Your daughter is beyond precious. She should be in all your reviews! Can I ask how much all of the goodies cost? Is it like Honest where it’s one price for 5 products and then you can add more at a discount? This is a very interesting sub!

      Thanks Susie!

I shredded the evidence (invoice) lol. Everything was a la carte but all the items were discounted. I don’t think I saw one item that wasn’t discounted on Grove’s website. I check prices via the Amazon and you can see my first review I did a death match Grove Collaborative v. Amazon. Grove Collaborative won!

I would compare this subscription to Amazon Pantry but without buying into a high yearly fee, some items are not discounted, and you need to play inventory tetris to fill your Pantry box. To note, I have not done Amazon Pantry it is too much of an headache for me to do inventory tetris. I am a huge Save and Subscriber though!!! Grove Collaborative has most of the items I cannot get via Save and Subscribe and I do not need to buy these mostly pricey items in bulk. I hope I make sense…
