Sunday Morning Coffee Talk-Pick or Skip Boxes

skipping

So just this week I found out that Pearlesque box (Reviewed by Farmcat HERE), has a pick or skip option. I have been watching this subscription for awhile and been really impressed but have not yet signed up because the couple months after Farmcat’s review haven’t interested me (Jaya Beauty and now for August-Juice Beauty) but I was really impressed and excited to hear about the pick or skip option.

There are several other boxes on the market-Bespoke Post and Hamptons Lane to name a few that offer Pick or Skip options. What are your thoughts on this concept?? It seems to me that boxes would have more success with this method of business. What do you guys think??

I like skipping especially with fable tics and adore me. Thanks MBJ.

I always skip fabletics even if I end up getting something for the month. They have sales often mid month that you can’t use your “member credit” for. So I just wait to see if an item I like goes on sale or if there is a buy an outfit get something. Of course this means that some of my favorites have been sold out. But it doesn’t happen a lot!

I skip bespoke a lot as well. Though this month I was done in by an item haha. I really need to get my subscriptions in order…

Pick or skip sounds great to me. I wish more boxes had the option. I recently signed up for Julep and skipping a month was so easy to do. I’ve been looking into Pearlesque. It’s nice to know they have that option. So many boxes I want!! Have.to.control.myself.

Yeah Eliza, I don’t think anyone should go down our road with all the boxes I get lol It’s insane. I give away so many things to clear room. I would love to be able to skip some each month in order to still have things to review but also do more in depth reviews of products!

Pick or skip options make or break boxes for me! I currently use them with core Lootcrate and their Lvlup subscription, Fabletics, and Bookish Box. I subscribed to Bookish Box for their Harry Potter themed month, and stayed for the classic novel theme last month. However, they’ve gone back to strict YA boxes this month and next, and I’m just not a YA fan (please don’t hurt me). But I don’t want to cancel and then resub when I like the theme, and they have the most awesome book items. With Lootcrate, I love it because they announce the franchises ahead of time, so if I’m not into them I’ll skip.

I didn’t know Pearlesque had the option to skip, and I’ve been eyeing it since the Osea box…stop encouraging me to spend money please. Just kidding, I’m in too deep.

I feel like we should make a master list of subs that allow skipping… It really keeps me sub’d otherwise I will just cancel!

Erin! hope you are having a good summer!! The August theme for Pearlesque is Juice Beauty just an fyi. . . (I am not an enabler. . . )

Thank you! We got back from our family travels, and I’ve been a lazy lady since. We are heading to Los Angeles tonight and Santa Barbara tomorrow to celebrate my 33rd birthday…yay?

I’ve gotten several Juice Beauty products in my Petit Vour and Love Goodly boxes but I’m not sure I like the brand enough for a whole box of it. Nothing’s wowed me yet, so I suppose my wallet’s safe for one more month. But not really, because birthday…

I would love it if more boxes had pick or skip. That would be wonderful!

I know! I think they think it would be bad for business but look at how successful Bespoke Post is!

Like Kelly, I skip Fabletics and Adore Me all the time… Actually, I’ve only gotten 1 “outfit” from each at the intro cheap price and have skipped every month since! lol

Eliza reminded me about Julep which I had a 3 month sub for and skipped several months so I’d have access to the Secret Store deals but then I caved, got my 3rd month and canceled… Because it was SO easy to buy SO much from Julep every month with add-ons, Secret Store, etc. Julep makes everything look SO good…

I just got my 2nd month of Pearlesque (been eyeing it for a while and then jumped on 30% off May box Memorial Day sale) and forgot that it was a pick or skip! Thanks for the reminder.

I also skip my weekly Home Chef meals once or twice per month. And I keep pushing back the date on my Naturebox and Honest Company (also only got the 1st bundle at a good intro deal and nothing since.)

If only Fabletics didn’t charge shipping to Hawaii I would bite. I think pick or skip sets up a box up to work a little harder too to retain subscribers.

Heat I am going to get Home Chef the end of this month. I also have a single recipe review coming up when we stayed at a family friend’s home during our trip, she decided to cook a snack and got out a Home Chef meal! I asked her whether I could blog and she said yes! Her recipe binder was FULL!!!

Sounds fun! The binder they give isn’t very big so my husband put ours in a bigger binder and then used tabs to easily sort by seafood, poultry, pork, red meat & veggie! Today he made fish tacos based loosely on a Home Chef recipe – YUM! LIke you, he’s a creative cook/chef while I will always be a direction follower…

          Nom!

I need to re-create Home Chef’s maple fennel butter it was in a pork chop recipe and I swear it was inspired by a dish from a Chicago restaurant!

We almost got an order we liked a week’s menu recently but we were traveling….
