Why Ipsy? Ipsy is one of the more affordable beauty subscriptions. People enjoy receiving Ipsy because you get 5 beauty samples (the samples received are usually makeup, and if you are lucky you may get a full size item every once in a while). Ipsy also sends out brushes, which is amazing. What makes Ipsy unique is the fact that each month you will receive a “Glam bag” with your products which is super cute.

Alright…let’s take a peek at the August Ipsy Glam bag!

The theme for the August 2016 Ipsy glam bag is: “Sugar-Highness”

I really like the theme that Ipsy picked for this month. I think the bag is very pretty and I can see myself carrying my makeup products in this bag. The material of the bag seems of good quality as well, which is a plus.

Sooooooooooo…..time to open the bag! Woot, Woot! Hope it’s good…

Here are the five beauty products I received this month. So far it looks ok, no full size items this month but I am really excited about the It Cosmetics eyeliner.

Now let’s take a closer look at each product in the bag.

NEUMAneuStyling smoothing crème (size received: 1oz sample, full size cost: $9)

This is a crème for your hair that not only helps with environmental damage to hair, it protects color and gets rid of frizz. After reading the information about this product, I am glad that they included it in the bag. NEUMA uses good ingredients and reuses packaging. This is an environmentally friendly product and because of that I am giving it a thumbs up. Also, my straight hair suffers from frizz often so this is a product I will definitely use. Won’t be having bad hair days anymore (lol yeah right, but at least this will help).

JaponesqueBlush in Shade 02 (size received: sample, full size cost: $22)

I have not tried this blush yet, I think this will be an ok shade for me. I usually wear pink tones and this one looks a little bit more skin toned. I am not super stoked about getting a blush because I have been collecting blush samples from my previous bags. Oh well, let’s see what’s next.

This Worksin Transit Camera Close-up (size received: 20ml sample, full size: £30

I was very excited and pleased to read that this product contains natural ingredients. This is a maks, moisturizer and primer in one…isn’t that amazing? I think I am going to enjoy this product, I am happy with it.

NOMADEye Shadow in Spice Market (size received: sample, full size: Marrakesh palette $47)

This is a sample item taken from the Marrakesh full size palette from NOMAD. The palette itself contains very bright colors inspired by the destination its named after. I think this is a good color eyeshadow, I am excited to try as I had not heard of this brand before Ipsy. Use code IPSY20FS for 20% off site wide.

it CosmeticsNo Tug Waterproof Eyeliner (size received: .35g sample, full size: .50g $22)

So, last but not least, it Cosmetics eyeliner. I really have enjoyed all of the samples Ipsy has included throughout their bags from it Cosmetics. It is a great brand that provides color correcting make-up formulas to all of us who are looking to hide out our imperfections. The fact that they have this no tug eyeliner is great. I am sure I will enjoy this product as much as all of the previous ones. I am really happy this one came in the bag.

Overall I think the Ipsy glam bag for the month of August is good. Lot’s of sample size items this month which makes the value of the bag not as high as previous bags. I think what is important about this bag is how many items I am happy with and will use vs. the value of the bag overall. The only product in this bag that I am neutral about is the blush, only because I have so many already.

What did you guys receive in your Ipsy bag this month? Do I have any box twins out there? How satisfied are you guys with the bag you received this month? Share below!
