Saturday Trash Talk

Hi friends,

So thank goodness for Heat! She sent me a boatload of empties for this week’s post which saved my life because taking small kids traveling is exhausting… I have a big bag of empties but sigh….the laundry, time change, and heat have me asleep on the couch as I type..

So without further ado, the lovely Heat spills her can!

MISSHA Time Revolution Clear Toner – This was recommended to me by Sarah of Bits and Boxes and it’s the most hydrating toner I’ve tried! (I haven’t tried a ton but still.) It’s taking all my will power to try use up some of my other toners before buying more of this… I will probably cave when dry winter weather rolls around, if not sooner.

Garnier Skinactive Micellar Cleansing Water – Similar to Simple micellar water (which I’m using again now because it was on sale) though neither is as good as Bioderma which I’ll probably buy next with Birchbox points.

Marcelle 3-in-1 Micellar Solution – (Birchbox) – maybe a little better than Garnier and Simple but still not good as Bioderma… and not worth the current price tag.

Kosmatology Foaming Hand Soap in Herbal Fresh – some people got this in Kloverbox last year – I didn’t but wanted to try this scent SO MUCH that I bought several products (hand sanitizer & lotion bar too) during their holiday deal at the end of the year. It’s spearmint rosemary (though I mostly smell spearmint) and I LOVE it! I love mint (esp. spearmint) scents A LOT and this is just awesome. Guests love it too so I’m tempted to hide it from them and keep it to myself! The only, small issue is with the dispenser – it tends to get clogged and then squirt out crazy… but it’s fine if you don’t press too hard and just hold your hand right in front of it. Or clean it periodically with a toothpick.

Mrs. Meyer’s Hand Soap Geranium – I’m pretty sure I got this through Grove Collaborative (have since bought in Target and from Amazon) and I had no idea how much I liked geranium scent! Probably a lot of people don’t like a floral smelling soap but I REALLY like it. It smells preeeeettty.

Botanic Farm Rice Natural Energy Mask Sheet (3B?) – This was good and hydrating like most sheet masks for me but I don’t remember details because it was a little while ago.

Sephora Orchid Face Mask – I bought this sheet mask for myself for my birthday last month (when I went to get my free gift from Sephora) because I’m out of sheet masks! I have lots of other masks in jars and tubes but there is something about sheet masks… love them. This one was good / really good and again with a floral scent which I adored but others may not like – it was more than a light scent too.

Sephora Lotus Eye Mask (Play! by Sephora) – They call this a fiber eye mask so I was thinking/hoping it was like a superhero mask – looking thing… (think Robin from Batman) but alas it was “just” 2 little under eye patches like ToGoSpa and Klorane. Well, they were fiber so not like ToGoSpa as far as material – just shape / size. These were still good but not a miracle just like all eye things I’ve tried.

EYES by ToGoSpa Collagen Under Eye Masks – (ToGoSpa) – I finished this pack of 3 but still have some other kinds left. These are really nice but no idea how much difference they actually make – I don’t take before and after pictures or inspect to closely at all.

Klorane Smoothing and Relaxing Patches with Soothing Cornflower – (Birchbox) – These were really nice too. Sub boxes can keep sending me eye patches all they want. I’ll use them whether I can see a big difference or not because there could be some long-term benefit… it can’t hurt!!

NeoStrata Skin Active Perfecting Peel (BeautyFix) – I just tried this today and I could be wrong but… I think my skin is softer, smoother & glowing! I’ll be curious to see if I still notice a difference tomorrow. Even if so, not sure I can justify spending that kind of money even if it’s a 13 pack that will last 3 months with weekly use.

Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream Moisturize – (Walmart box) This foil was truly one time use – normally I get at least 2-3 uses out of a foil but this sucker was small. I’ve tired this before – it has a strong floralish Olay smell that I don’t mind. It’s a nice thick cream which can feel good at night for dry skin. However, I don’t plan to purchase this at all.

That’s all for now, folks!

I love your empties, Heat! I feel like we are somewhat product twins. The pump on the Kosmatology drove me nuts! I wondered if the clogging was because I let it sit around too long before using it (had other hand soaps to use), but it’s good to know that’s just how it is.

How do the different varieties of Eyes compare? I’ve only used the blue ones.

      Thanks Ake!
With the TGS EYES, one is supposed to be more for dark, under eye circles, one more for puffiness, or one more for wrinkles.. I can’t say I notice much difference between them except the coconut I think are way more slippery and don’t stay in place very well for me.

Heat, I love that geranium scented Mrs Meyers. I feel the same way about the To-go eye patches. They feel fab but do they really do anything?!

Hi Heat. Wow great stash of empties. Are any of the eye masks not made in China?

I tried to leave a comment yesterday but I couldn’t seem to get it to go through. Anyway, I’m almost out of toner and didn’t know what to try next. MISSHA it is! Thanks Heat!
