Trillia Planning Box Review – September 2016

Subscription: Trillia Planning

Cost: $19 CAD / mo + $5 CAD shipping [I paid $22.90 USD]; one month, month-to-month, and prepaid options

What to Expect: “A mix of personalized supplies, Canadian content and sought after items difficult to find in Canada. there will be both full sized items as well as samples of some big ticket products hopefully to expose you to some products and brands you aren’t familiar with. as well, each month we will feature a Canadian designer, whose contribution will be the inspiration for the rest of the content for that month.”

I’ve got a nice At-a-Glance planner that I j’adore, and I’ve been eyeing different planner subs to decorate my planner and make it all schmantzy. I am not even sure where I found the Canadian subscription, Trillia, but I liked that they accepted PayPal. There is a questionnaire when you sign up, and it asks different preference questions, but if you pay via PayPal be sure to send an email with your preferences!

Pretty blue envelope. But, like the Ipsy envelope it’s got adhesive issues; Ipsy usually comes slightly opened, but this envelope was hard to open!

Let’s tear into the contents!

The nice thing about smaller boxes is that they put nice little touches like a hand-written note!

6×6 paper from Amy Tangerine’s Plus One collection

Meh… I don’t have a use for scrapbook paper in my planner so I’ll stick these in my collage box.

Ephemera from Pebbles’ “Boo!” and Simple Stones SNAP Life Documented Collections

I didn’t really know what to do with these, so I glued the Halloween stuff onto October 31st in my planner.

Washi tapes from Little B, Heidi Swapp, and American Crafts

This was nice, just getting little washi samples. I put this all up in my planner! Washi tape is like $3-6 though, so it would’ve been neat to get full size.

Swiss Delice Chocolate

Chocolate! It was dark and consumed in 1.03 seconds.

One sheet from “Value Pack Stickers – Everyday Plans“: whole pack for $20 for 30 sheets

Wow, I should just get one of these packs! These were really great in my planner, and for $20 I’d get a whole year [or eight] worth of planner stickers.

Esby Creative is the featured designer for the month

It looks like there was a $6 mini kit, plus the patterns page and two little freebies.

Esby Creative’s Etsy site was turned off when I went to look them up, which weirdly is often the case when boxes feature Etsy sites! Fortunately, they were back up a few days later. I really like these stickers, and if I ever run out I may need more =)

Sorry for the blurry pics–I took these quickly before going home one day, but I’ve since added more as I make checklists and make appointments. I actually quite like cutening up my planner =D

Verdict: I really wanted a planner ephemera/sticker subscription box, but didn’t want lots of scrapbooking paper which most seem to send. This one looked interesting from past boxes. I was a bit disappointed in the value, though I realize it’s not a big subscription that can double your value. However, seeing that one planner sticker set for $20 made me go, hmmm I should keep looking. The main included shop was $7 or so, and the washi tape samples were small.

I do like my new stickers, and they do make me happy every time I open my planner so I’m glad I tried a planner sub! However, I will keep looking for a sub for wintery stickers.

Do you have a physical planner? Do you subscribe to any planning subscriptions? If so, give me some recommendations!

Go to the website http://www.meandmybigideas.com and look at their books of planner stickers. I bought the basic book. It was 20.00 and had about 400 stickers. They have seasonal and themed books of stickers too. Best value that I have found!

Thanks, Susie! That’s where the Real Life / Remember sticker sheet is from. I was totally eyeing one of those packs too, so I’m glad you like yours. I think I might do the color coordinated one or the gold pack.

It looked so promising from the envelope. I hoped it was filled with cat planning stickers…

I don’t have it nearly enough together to have a planner and I basically use outlook lol

My January PopSugar planner is so forlorn. I practically see it almost everyday. I wish I could be one of those planners with all the stickers and planning. But alas, I am a momma with tons of stickers for her squeakers/Pnut people.
