After eyeballing the WTF Quarterly box and following Makers Kit for almost a year, I finally decided to subscribe to them when I saw they had their own subscription box out!

Makers Kit Monthly August 2016

August Box

So this is one of those subs where I actually ordered it in the beginning of August and didn’t get it till the beginning of September. Though I think I may have started my subscription like two days after their cutoff date [they bill the 25th and send a week later]. This is a sub where you’re looking at similar subs and shaking your head. The cost to product to enjoyment ratio of this box is TOPS!

My hopes were set pretty level after a mediocre ride with Darby Smart and a yay / meh / empty wallet from We Make Collective. So, I set the box aside and let it marinate while I did homework and waited to take pics. Well, after a week I peeked and holy crap I was so jazzed!!! Not one, but three crafts AND a gift!!? Then I waited till the weekend to take pics during the day and I was just blown away. Now I have to find craft time =)

The outside of the box is plain, and the inside just felt soooo wonderful with the tightly packed contents in the crinkle cuts!

Not sure that I will make the rock pillow, but it’s a really cute idea! I also love the fox option.

Project 2: Pear + Flower Oil Room Diffuser Kit

I love this! My FFF winter diffuser is almost gone, so I’ll be putting this in the spare bathroom.

Project 3: Geometric String Wall Art Project Kit

Makers Kit Monthly August 2016

This isn’t really my style, so I’ll probably look up a different pattern, use a board, and find some pretty string to use!

Artisanal Treat: Wildflower Bath Bomb

Uggghhh I hate getting bath products because our bathtub is awful! I want to use this, so I’ll have to see when my brother’s family is gone and use one of their fancy tubs =D

And by “fancy” I mean I can fit my most of me into the tub and the water isn’t mysteriously green!

Make It and Gift It!

Can this company get any better??? I love this idea! The card is so cute, and the little tags and thread are such a nice touch!

I’m not gifting any of this… it’s mine.

makers kit air plant

Also, because they had a promotion going on at the time, I got a free air plant that shipped a few days after I placed my order. Which is great, because I am really good at killing air plants =)

Verdict: Um LOVE. I want winter break to hurry up and be here so I can have daily crafternoons!!! The care and detail that went into this $24 package blow me away! I cannot believe that this came with three crafts plus some extra goodies. This is like the PSMH of the crafting world for me. I’ve already been billed for “September” and looks like the next one will be here Wednesday. At any rate, highly recommend! They have a points program, discounts in the shop, and they donate $ to schools.
